Cole Anthony News
Orlando Magic point guard Cole Anthony had a great finish to the year on Sunday, going for a career-high 37 points in a loss to the Sixers. He shot 10-for-25 from the field and was 14-for-14 with his free throws while going 3-for-9 from deep with eight rebounds, two assists and one steal. He posted six turnovers in 38 minutes. A rib fracture robbed Anthony multiple weeks of his rookie year, but he played very well when healthy and the Magic have plenty to get excited about. Although the eventual return of Markelle Fultz (knee) will complicate things for fantasy managers.
Orlando Magic rookie point guard Cole Anthony scored 10 points off the bench in Wednesday's win over the Bulls. Since returning to the team following injury, Anthony has scored in double figures in four of five games. Wednesday, the promising young player was 5-for-6 from the floor and also added five assists and three rebounds. You'd like to see him get more minutes before fully trusting him in season-long and DFS contests, but he's definitely trending in the right direction for now. Keep an eye on Anthony.
Orlando Magic guards Michael Carter-Williams (illness) and Cole Anthony (ribs) are both available for Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. Carter-Williams has missed each of the last three games due to a non-COVID related illness. Anthony has not played in over two months, but is expected to suit up here. It's unclear if either player is going to be limited at all. Nonetheless, it's nice depth for Orlando, but neither player is much of a weapon in fantasy leagues.
Orlando Magic guard Cole Anthony (rib) is making progress in his recovery, though he remains without a timetable for his return. Anthony suffered a fractured rib during a February 9 game against the Trail Blazers. The 20-year-old has been participating in on-court activities- though he can't do contact yet, as the rib hasn't healed fully. Once Anthony receives another MRI, he can return to contact activities. The rookie guard is having a solid season- with averages of 11 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 26.7 minutes per game.
