Damion Lee News
Golden State Warriors guard Damion Leehas been ruled out for Wednesday's play-in game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He has not played since mid-April and remains out while he follows the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. It's uncertain when he'll be able to play during the postseason, assuming the Warriors advance. Jordan Poole should continue to benefit without Lee available. He'll be an intriguing DFS option for Wednesday's playoff slate.
Golden State Warriors small/power forward Kelly Oubre Jr. (wrist) and shooting guard/small forward Damion Lee (health protocols) have been deemed unavailable to play in Sunday's contest against the Grizzlies. Oubre has not played since April 27 as he continues to work his way back from a wrist ailment that the team holds out hope will not end his 2020-21 campaign. He wraps up the regular season having averaged 15.4 points and 6.0 boards per game in his first season with the Warriors. Lee has been in the league's health and safety protocols and has not seen the floor since April 19. Jordan Poole and Kent Bazemore have seen elevated roles in the aforementioned duo's absence and figure to continue to do so Sunday, giving them DFS and final day streamer appeal.
Golden State Warriors shooting guard/small forward Damion Lee wasn't the team's first option to fire from long range in the waning seconds of Sunday's win over the Bulls, but he was ultimately the right option. Lee knocked down his fourth triple of the game to put Golden State ahead on their last shot of the game. With the Warriors desperately needing both bench scoring and long range marksmanship, Lee could begin to carve out a considerable role with the group as finished with 12 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in his third game of the year. His role remains too minor for season-long consideration at this stage, but deeper league fantasy managers can begin to monitor his workload more closely when he next takes the floor Tuesday versus Detroit.
Golden State Warriors guard Damion Lee chipped in 24 points, six rebounds, and three assists in 34 minutes during the 118-114 win over the 76ers on Saturday. The Louisville product has been sensational recently with injuries besieging the team. He has now scored in double digits during seven of the past eight games and has amassed at least 20 points in four of the those last eight matches as well. Though he averages 28.9 minutes per game, the guard has played at least 30 minutes in the past eight contests. With his lengthy minutes translating to great production, Lee is a great fantasy pickup. Just be wary that he faces a tough defense in the Clippers on Tuesday.
