Damyean Dotson Ruled Out Sunday

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Damyean Dotson (knee) will sit again Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans. Dotson will miss his sixth-straight game due to a sore left knee after being listed as questionable. Dotson is usually on the outskirts of the rotation, but the Cavs are also without Darius Garland (ankle) and Collin Sexton (groin) tonight. Matthew Dellavedova will shift into a starting role and have full reign of the ball-handling duties here. Dellavedova can be viewed as a low-end stream for assists, threes and possibly steals.

Damyean Dotson Could Miss Sunday's Game

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Damyean Dotson (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He normally isn't a big part of the rotation, but was likely going to see significant minutes with Darius Garland (ankle) and Collin Sexton (groin) both sidelined. However, Matthew Dellavedova and Cedi Osman might be asked to play all the minutes they can handle, assuming Dotson is sidelined. Osman is worth a look as a streaming option for Sunday.

Damyean Dotson Drops 21 Points During Start

Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Damyean Dotson once again drew a start as the team's emergency point guard during Saturday's loss to the Bucks, but parlayed his role into a 21-point, eight-assist performance across his 41 minutes of action. Having started three of the previous four games for the Cavs due to the immense injury concerns that have struck the team, Dotson has seen his offensive role increase exponentially. He shot 8-for-17 from the field overall against the Bucks, benefiting from Collin Sexton's (ankle) absence. Should the Cavs continue to be short-handed across the backcourt come Monday versus Memphis, Dotson will once again be in play as an upside DFS asset.

Collin Sexton, Damyean Dotson On Track To Play Thursday

The Cleveland Cavaliers will have point/shooting guard Collin Sexton (ankle) and shooting guard/small forward Damyean Dotson (ankle) on the floor for Thursday's contest, barring a last-second issue, per head coach J.B. Bickerstaff. The duo were deemed questionable earlier in the day, which would have dealt significant blows to an already decimated backcourt heading into Thursday's game against the Grizzlies. With Darius Garland (shoulder) unavailable, Sexton should continue to see a sizable workload as the team's point guard, with Dotson having seen a considerable bump in usage due to the recent spate of injuries. Both have GPP upside in DFS contests due to the compact nature of the Cavs roster for the time being.

Damyean Dotson Might Play Versus Memphis

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Damyean Dotson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He played 16 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, but the return of Isaac Okoro has hurt Dotson's value. Honestly, it's tough to imagine Dotson having basically any fantasy value while Okoro is healthy.

Damyean Dotson is Gaining Interest

New York Knicks guard Damyean Dotson has not been a big part of the rotation this season. He didn't appear in eight of the last nine games before the NBA was put on hiatus. There's a good chance that Dotson doesn't see much playing time when the NBA returns. The Knicks are likely going to use their younger players over Dotson at this point in the season. The Warriors, Bucks, and Jazz are reportedly interested in signing Dotson this offseason. He likely won't have much fantasy value on those organizations, but he'd probably get more playing time than he does in New York right now.

Damyean Dotson Sinks Five Treys Against Lakers

New York Knicks shooting guard Damyean Dotson was feeling it on Wednesday against the Lakers, going 5-for-11 from downtown on his way to 17 points. He shot 6-for-14 overall from the field in 27 minutes off the bench, also adding two rebounds and one steal to his line. Dotson showed off some very good ability last season when he even ended up starting 40 games, but his minutes have been very inconsistent this year and as a result, he hasn't done much so far. However, he's now logged 20-plus minutes in three straight contests and he has scored in double figures in consecutive games, so the third-year guard will have some momentum ahead of Friday's clash with the Raptors.

Damyean Dotson Was Able to Practice on Friday

New York Knicks guard Damyean Dotson (finger) was able to suit up for Friday's practice. He dislocated his left pinky during Thursday's game, but he's expected to play in Saturday's game against the Indiana Pacers. Dotson looked like he was in a lot of pain on Thursday, but the fact he was able to practice is a good sign. More information about his status will be known after Saturday's shootaround.

Damyean Dotson Knocks Down Six Triples In Win

New York Knicks shooting guard/small forward Damyean Dotson was red-hot from behind the arc in Mondays victory over the Chicago Bulls, shooting 6-for-7 from three-point range. He entered the game as cold as can be, having gone a combined 3-for-26 from deep over his last four games. He is now shooting 37.4 percent from long range on the year, having also added six rebounds and six assists Monday. His fantasy output ebbs and flows as his jump shot goes, but he provides enough value across other categories that he can normally avoid clunkers.

Emmanuel Mudiay, Damyean Dotson Go Off On Sunday

New York Knicks point guard Emmanuel Mudiay and shooting guard Damyean Dotson racked up the points in Sunday's win over the Lakers, combining for 53 of the team's 124 points. Mudiay missed only three of his 11 shots, had three triples and finished with 28 points, while Dotson had 25 on 10-for-20 shooting. It's his third 20-plus point outing in the last four games. Dennis Smith Jr. (back) missed the game, which opened up a nice chunk of backcourt minutes, which Mudiay and Dotson welcomed with open arms. There's a good chance Smith Jr. will also miss Monday's meeting with the Raptors, so both Mudiay and Dotson should be targeted in DFS action.
