Damyean Dotson News
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Damyean Dotson (knee) will sit again Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans. Dotson will miss his sixth-straight game due to a sore left knee after being listed as questionable. Dotson is usually on the outskirts of the rotation, but the Cavs are also without Darius Garland (ankle) and Collin Sexton (groin) tonight. Matthew Dellavedova will shift into a starting role and have full reign of the ball-handling duties here. Dellavedova can be viewed as a low-end stream for assists, threes and possibly steals.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Damyean Dotson (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He normally isn't a big part of the rotation, but was likely going to see significant minutes with Darius Garland (ankle) and Collin Sexton (groin) both sidelined. However, Matthew Dellavedova and Cedi Osman might be asked to play all the minutes they can handle, assuming Dotson is sidelined. Osman is worth a look as a streaming option for Sunday.
Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Damyean Dotson once again drew a start as the team's emergency point guard during Saturday's loss to the Bucks, but parlayed his role into a 21-point, eight-assist performance across his 41 minutes of action. Having started three of the previous four games for the Cavs due to the immense injury concerns that have struck the team, Dotson has seen his offensive role increase exponentially. He shot 8-for-17 from the field overall against the Bucks, benefiting from Collin Sexton's (ankle) absence. Should the Cavs continue to be short-handed across the backcourt come Monday versus Memphis, Dotson will once again be in play as an upside DFS asset.
The Cleveland Cavaliers will have point/shooting guard Collin Sexton (ankle) and shooting guard/small forward Damyean Dotson (ankle) on the floor for Thursday's contest, barring a last-second issue, per head coach J.B. Bickerstaff. The duo were deemed questionable earlier in the day, which would have dealt significant blows to an already decimated backcourt heading into Thursday's game against the Grizzlies. With Darius Garland (shoulder) unavailable, Sexton should continue to see a sizable workload as the team's point guard, with Dotson having seen a considerable bump in usage due to the recent spate of injuries. Both have GPP upside in DFS contests due to the compact nature of the Cavs roster for the time being.
