Ed Davis Unavailable For Tuesday

Cleveland Cavaliers center Ed Davis has entered the league's health and safety protocols. That means, Davis won't be available for Tuesday's game against the Boston Celtics. Normally, Davis isn't much of a factor in the rotation. However, he was possibly looking at the spot start with the Cavaliers being shorthanded. Now, Kevin Love should move into the starting five on Tuesday. He'll be a strong streaming option and certainly someone worth looking at in DFS contests. Luke Kornet could get some playing time as well, but wouldn't be as reliable of an option.

Ed Davis Traded To Minnesota

The Minnesota Timberwolves have traded for big man Ed Davis, sending Omari Spellman and Jacob Evans to the Knicks. Davis reunites with former Nets teammate D'Angelo Russell. Davis is a hard-nosed player who'll provide useful defense and can set screens for the offense, but his projected role won't be on that's conducive to fantasy basketball leagues, unless you need rebounding help in an extremely deep league.

Ed Davis Will Miss First Round

Utah Jazz center Ed Davis (knee) has been ruled out for the entire first round versus the Denver Nuggets. The team mentioned that he will be re-evaluated in a few weeks, which means he could miss more than just the first round. He was averaging 10.8 minutes per game this season. Those minutes will be split up between Rudy Gobert and Tony Bradley. The absence of Davis won't have a huge fantasy impact, but Gobert should gain a little fantasy value until Davis returns.

Ed Davis Cleared For Return To Action Friday

Utah Jazz power forward/center Ed Davis will be back in the fold for Fridays game against the Memphis Grizzlies, returning to action less than a month after sustaining a fractured left fibula. How quickly head coach Quin Snyder inserts him into the rotation remains to be seen, but Davis has proven to be a rebounding savant in the past when given ample minutes. Starting center Rudy Gobert has been dinged up as of late and any missed time moving forward would likely pave the way for Davis to see an increased role.

Ed Davis is Questionable for Friday

Utah Jazz center Ed Davis (leg) has been upgraded to questionable for Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He fractured left fibula, but has a chance to get back on the floor just four weeks after suffering the injury. He won't have much fantasy value, but could get more involved with Rudy Gobert (ankle) banged up at the moment. We'll see what kind of role Davis has in the rotation before bothering to add him in fantasy leagues.

Ed Davis To Miss At Least One Month Due To Injury

Utah Jazz power forward/center Ed Davis is expected to be sidelined for at least the next month due to a left fibula fracture that he suffered during play Friday. Davis has delivered relatively little off the bench for Utah through the first six games of the season, with his departure unlikely to drastically change much considering the Jazzs rotation from a fantasy perspective. The 10-year veteran has averaged just 12.2 minutes per game to begin the season and can safely be dropped onto waivers in any format.

Ed Davis Agrees To Contract With Jazz

Free agent power forward/center Ed Davis has agreed to a two-year contract with the Utah Jazz. Davis was a do-it-all bench piece for the Nets last season, averaging 5.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Hes likely heading for the same role in Utah, but playing behind Rudy Gobert, who should stay on the floor a little more than Brooklyns Jarrett Allen did. Davis will likely see a little run at power forward, but dont expect him to top the 20 minute per game mark, and hell continue to be much more effective and useful as a rebounder than as anything else. Fantasy owners looking for a cheap source of rebounding late in fantasy drafts might have some interest in Davis, but his other numbers are unlikely to be good enough to justify him being in most fantasy lineups.

Ed Davis Ruled Out for Game 5

Brooklyn Nets center Ed Davis (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 5 versus the Philadelphia 76ers. This is the second game in a row that Davis has been forced to miss due to a right ankle injury. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will see extra playing time with Davis sidelined.

Ed Davis is Questionable for Game 5

Brooklyn Nets center Ed Davis (ankle) is listed as questionable for Game 5 versus the Philadelphia 76ers. Davis was fantastic in Game 1, but hasn't been able to do much since that contest. He wasn't able to play in Game 4, so that's not a good sign that he'll be able to suit up here. Fantasy owners should check back before game time on Tuesday.

Ed Davis Ruled Out for Game 4

Brooklyn Nets center Ed Davis (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's Game 4 against the Philadelphia 76ers. He was not able to practice on Friday after tweaking his ankle during Game 3 on Thursday. Davis hasn't been able to do much on the court since Game 1, so this won't be a huge blow to the Nets. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will continue to see extra minutes with Davis sidelined.
