Hamidou Diallo Last 10 Games
Hamidou Diallo News
Detroit Pistons guard Hamidou Diallo agreed to a two-year, $10.4 million deal to return to the club on Thursday. The 23-year-old averaged 11.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and shot 46.8% from the field in 20 games with the Pistons after being acquired from the Oklahoma City Thunder last season. It'll be interesting to see if Diallo can elevate his game in an extra category or two, as he didn't crack 1.0 3PM, under 65% from the free throw line, or provide much on the defensive side of the ball. The Pistons also added the number overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft in Cade Cunningham, crowding the competition at the guard spots.
Detroit Pistons guard Hamidou Diallo will sit out against the Minnesota Timberwolves while adhering to health and safety protocols surrounding COVID-19. The 22-year-old will now miss his fourth straight contest, and with only two games left on the schedule, his season may be over. Cory Joseph (ankle), Frank Jackson (ankle), and Dennis Smith Jr. (knee) are also listed on the latest injury report, so Killian Hayes and Saben Lee could be the biggest beneficiaries in the backcourt on Tuesday night.
The Detroit Pistons will again be staggeringly short-handed for Sunday's contest versus Chicago with shooting guard Josh Jackson (tooth), small forward Hamidou Diallo (health protocols) and shooting guard/small forward Wayne Ellington (calves) all ruled out. Saddiq Bey and Frank Jackson stand to see as many minutes on the wing as they can handle. Diallo went for a career-high 35 points Tuesday and stands to be a must-own fantasy commodity upon being cleared. Jackson and Ellington are upside plays that could benefit from further injuries across the depth chart. The next chance for any of the trio to return comes Tuesday against the Timberwolves.
Detroit Pistons guard Hamidou Diallo (personal) won't be in the lineup on Thursday against the Grizzlies. The 22-year-old will join the plethora of players, including Jerami Grant (knee), Josh Jackson (mouth), and Cory Joseph (ankle), who also won't be available against Memphis. Without Diallo, Frank Jackson, Sekou Doumbouya, Killian Hayes, Isaiah Stewart, and Saddiq Bey should all log plenty of minutes and see a potential increase in fantasy potential.
