Jabari Parker News
Boston Celtics forward Jabari Parker scored a team-high 18 points on 8-for-10 shooting in Sunday's 96-92 loss to the Knicks. He went 1-for-3 from downtown and 5-for-6 at the line with seven rebounds and two assists. Tremont Waters posted 17 and Romeo Langford 14 points as the Celtics rested their main guys ahead of the play-in tournament. It's going to be a fun game on Tuesday between the C's and the Wizards. Parker has entered the rotation lately, but he won't be a factor in the matchup. Jayson Tatum, who already has two 30-point efforts against Washington this season, looks set for a huge night.
Sacramento Kings forward Jabari Parker is reportedly in great shape heading into the regular season. He struggled with conditioning last season, but appears to be doing much better now. "He's healthy, perfectly healthy. He's got his mind right. He's just in here flying around, doing what he does. He's a great scorer, a great facilitator," said teammate Richaun Holmes. Sadly, Parker won't be worth drafting in most formats regardless of how healthy he is right now. The Kings roster is loaded with bigs, so he'll have a tough time carving out a role in Sacramento. He'll be worth keeping an eye on though, assuming he somehow gets significant playing time.
Sacramento Kings forward Jabari Parker will accept his player option for next season. Parker accepted his $6.5 million option, which isn't surprising since who knows if he'd get that in free agency. He'll likely be buried on the depth chart in Sacramento, so injuries are the only way he'll find himself with reliable fantasy value. Parker has decent upside as a scorer, but can be ignored in most formats.
Sacramento Kings forward Jabari Parker made his debut with his new club on Thursday, and it was his first game he has played in since Jan. 3. Parker played 15 minutes in this one and scored four points with four rebounds while handing out two dimes as he struggled with his shot, making just one of six from the floor. Parker is worth a look in very competitive leagues as a speculative add with the Kings missing many bodies up front. If his minutes can get up in the mid-20s, he could easily become relevant in 12-team leagues. Add him to your watch list.
