Jahlil Okafor News
Detroit Pistons center Jahlil Okafor (knee) underwent surgery on his left meniscus, a procedure that will keep him out of action for at least the next 6-8 weeks. Okafor has been used sparingly off the bench this season for Detroit, ceding minutes to Isaiah Stewart in the role of backing up Mason Plumlee. Okafor's rookie production of 17.5 PPG seems like a lifetime ago, as he now battles for a roster spot at age 25. Stewart is on track to continue earning minutes with the second unit, as Okafor won't make a push for playing time until likely April at the earliest.

Jahlil Okafor Will Miss Monday’s Contest
Detroit Pistons center Jahlil Okafor (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game versus Denver due to a knee ailment. Consistent minutes have been hard to come by for Okafor, who hasn't topped the eight-point, seven-rebound outing that he put together back on Opening Night. Having delivered an unappealing 117 dRTG through his first 12 games, it's tough to see a path to elevated playing time for the former No. 3 overall pick, whose minutes will likely be absorbed by Isaiah Stewart and Mason Plumlee on Monday. Okafor's next chance to return comes Tuesday against the Jazz, but he can remain firmly entrenched on the waiver wire for the foreseeable future.

Jahlil Okafor Signing With Pistons
The Detroit Pistons added their fifth big of the offseason on Friday, agreeing to a two-year deal with free agent center Jahlil Okafor. This follows the drafting of Isaiah Stewart, signing of Mason Plumlee, and trades for Dewayne Dedmon and Tony Bradley. That's...a lot. Okafor averaged 8.1 points and 4.2 boards per game for New Orleans last year. It's really hard to see a path to fantasy relevance for Okafor in Detroit this season.

Jahlil Okafor Scores Efficient 21 Points On Tuesday
New Orleans center Jahlil Okafor came off the bench to fill up the box score in the six-point loss to the Kings on Tuesday. Okafor tallied 21 points on 9-for-11 shooting while chipping in four boards, one assist, and two blocks as he caught fire in just 25 minutes of action. We haven't seen Okafor come to life in some time and we can assume on Thursday that he will get similar minutes in the meaningless game against the Magic. If you are looking for cheap punt play, Okafor could be your man for Thursday.

Jahlil Okafor is Questionable for Sunday
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Jahlil Okafor (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. He hasn't played since November 11 due to an ankle issue. Derrick Favors (back) will remain sidelined in this one, so Jaxson Hayes could be looking at big minutes. He'll be worth a look as a streaming option and DFS option for Sunday.

Josh Hart, Jahlil Okafor Both Tagged As Questionable Saturday
New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard/small forward Josh Hart and center Jahlil Okafor have both picked up questionable designations ahead of Saturdays contest against the Utah Jazz. Both the wing and the big man have missed each of the teams previous five contests due to a pair of left ankle sprains. New Orleans would gladly welcome either man back, as rookie Jaxson Hayes was forced to enter the starting five at the center spot Thursday, while Hart, when healthy, has averaged 27.7 minutes per contest this year. Check back prior to tip-off to get an official update on their status.

Jahlil Okafor Won't Play on Sunday
New Orleans Pelicans center Jahlil Okafor (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Golden State Warriors. He's missed a few games due to a left ankle sprain, but hopefully can be back soon. Jaxson Hayes and Nicolo Melli will likely be asked to play heavy minutes with Derrick Favors (back) doubtful to suit up. Both players are worth looking at as streaming options with the Pelicans banged up.

Jahlil Okafor Sits Out on Saturday
New Orleans Pelicans center Jahlil Okafor (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Miami Heat. He missed Thursday's game due to a left ankle issue. The team is going to be cautious and rest him again here. Derrick Favors should log in heavy minutes and be a popular DFS option. Jaxson Hayes will see extended run off the bench and could be a deep league streaming option.

Jahlil Okafor Picks Up Questionable Tag For Saturday
New Orleans Pelicans center Jahlil Okafor has been listed as questionable for Saturdays game against the Miami Heat due to a left ankle sprain. The team has a whopping seven players on the injury report, meaning that owners will want to check back before tip-off to get a read on who will definitively be active. Okafor has played in just one of New Orleans last three games, returning to a bench role with Derrick Favors back from injury. Barring widespread absences for the Pelicans, Okafor can likely be avoided in DFS and he holds consistent fantasy value only in the deepest leagues due to his minutes.

Jahlil Okafor Records First Double-Double Of Season In Defeat
New Orleans Pelicans center Jahlil Okafor made his third consecutive start Saturday during his teams loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder and notched his first double-double of the year by scoring 15 points and snagging 12 rebounds. He further packed the stat sheet by adding three assists and blocking two shots. After starring in spurts down the stretch last season for New Orleans, Okafor has continued to prove impressive from a fantasy perspective when given ample playing time. As Derrick Favors battles knee soreness, Okafor could present a solid stream option in traditional fantasy Monday against Brooklyn, so long as the starting center spot remains his.
