Justin Holiday Drops 18 Points Off Bench

Indiana Pacers shooting guard/small forward Justin Holiday keyed the second unit during Saturdays loss to the Atlanta Hawks, finishing with 18 points on 6-for-9 shooting, including knocking down four three-pointers. While Holidays production has been largely hit or miss, he added four rebounds and two steals in his 30 minutes Saturday, benefiting from Indiana getting only nine players minutes. He remains a difficult season-long option in anything other than the deepest of leagues, although he has solid DFS punt play potential on nights in which the squad faces a lax defensive unit.

Justin Holiday Ties Career High With Six Steals

Indiana Pacers shooting guard/small forward Justin Holiday has returned to a bench role over the past four games, but Fridays victory over the Atlanta Hawks saw him tie his career high in steals with six across just 23 minutes. Holiday added five points and six rebounds to his performance, but with Jeremy Lamb and Malcolm Brogdon both back and receiving healthy minutes among the starting five, Holiday holds season-long value only in deep formats. While he has been a valuable defensive asset, he had recorded six steals combined over his previous eight games, making a repeat showing of Friday unlikely in the immediate future.

Justin Holiday Signs With Pacers

Free agent guard Justin Holiday has signed a one-year deal with the Indiana Pacers, where he joins his brother Aaron. Last year, Holiday split time between Chicago and Memphis, playing in 82 games with 77 starts and putting up averages of 10.5 points and 3.9 rebounds on 38.6 percent shooting. Indiana's a better team and because of that won't afford Holiday with the same amount of minutes, but he gives the Pacers a bench option who can hit a ton of threes. There's late round fantasy value here, but not as much as there was for Holiday last season.
