Pistons And Timberwolves Join Race for Malik Beasley

Shooting guard Malik Beasley reportedly has two more suitors seeking his signature. According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves have joined the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers in the race for Beasley. Beasley had an incredible year with the Pistons in 2024-25, ranking second in the NBA with 319 total three-pointers made and averaging 16.3 points. He also enjoyed a successful stint with the Timberwolves in 2020-2022, posting 15.1 points per game over 130 contests. The 28-year-old appears to be a good fit for both teams and could be poised for another productive fantasy campaign in 2025-26.

Malik Beasley Now Drawing Interest from Teams

According to Ian Begley of SNY, the Knicks (among other teams) are reportedly interested in free-agent guard Malik Beasley. The 2016 No. 19 overall pick has bounced around the league over the years. He most recently logged 82 games for the Pistons last season, averaging 16.3 points and shooting 41.6% from downtown. As a result, Beasley was expected to be a coveted free agent entering the offseason. However, that all changed when it was revealed in June that he was the target of a federal investigation for gambling on NBA contests. On Friday, it was announced that Beasley was no longer being investigated. With the news, teams are now seemingly interested in acquiring his services, although there aren't many clubs in the National Basketball Association that can offer him what he would have received from the Pistons. With that in mind, Beasley still has some hurdles to clear before he is cleared to get back on the court. Still, it appears there's a good chance he'll be on a roster come opening night, with his draft stock predicted to surge if more positive updates are released moving forward.

Malik Beasley Considered Questionable Against Bucks

Detroit Pistons guard Malik Beasley (illness) has received a questionable tag on Friday for their matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks. The 28-year-old hasn't missed a game yet this season, but he's suffering from an illness at the moment. So far, he's posted his best season since 2020-21 with the Minnesota Timberwolves. If he's unable to play in this one, his 16.2 points and 28.0 minutes per game will be left to Dennis Schroder and maybe even Ron Holland II. Schroder would be the safest play for any fantasy or DFS managers as he's averaged 10.7 points, 5.1 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 turnovers per game in 27 games with the Pistons.

Malik Beasley Agrees To A Deal With Detroit

Free-agent guard Malik Beasley agreed to a one-year, $6 million deal with the Detroit Pistons. The 2016 No. 19 overall pick made 79 appearances for the Bucks in 2023-24, averaging 11.3 points while shooting 41.3% from behind the arc. While he likely won't be a routine starter like in Milwaukee, his three-point efficiency should keep him in the rotation enough for him to remain a viable option for fantasy managers.

Malik Beasley Unlikely To Return To Milwaukee

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, impending free agent guard Malik Beasley isn't expected to return to Milwaukee. The 27-year-old appeared in 79 games for the Bucks during the regular season, averaging 11.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists. He also shot 41.3% from deep, making him among the most proficient three-point threats in the National Basketball Association. Unfortunately, Beasley didn't see the floor as often late in the season, negatively impacting his statistical contributions for fantasy managers. At any rate, with Milwaukee strapped for cash this offseason, the team can't afford Beasley, who could seek around $13 million. As such, his fantasy outlook will hinge on where he signs for the 2024-25 campaign.

Malik Beasley Available Versus Phoenix

Milwaukee Bucks guard Malik Beasley (back) will play on Sunday versus Phoenix. He missed Thursday's matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers and was listed as questionable for Sunday. However, the back spams will only cost Beasley one game. With Giannis Antetokounmpo (hamstring) unavailable for this one, Beasley has a chance to benefit from a production standpoint, so he should draw strong consideration from fantasy managers, especially those participating in DFS contests.

Malik Beasley Remains On Injury Report Versus Suns

Milwaukee Bucks guard Malik Beasley (back) popped up on the injury report again and has been listed as questionable for the Sunday matinee against the Phoenix Suns. The veteran wing was forced to miss their last game on Friday with the same back spasms. A better picture of his health will come on the day of the game when he tries to go through shootaround. Patrick Beverley took his place in the starting five during their last contest, so the same would likely happen. Giannis Antetokounmpo (hamstring) is also questionable, so Beverley and Bobby Portis could have some heavy minutes in store.

Malik Beasley Ruled Out Against Philly

Milwaukee Bucks guard Malik Beasley (back) won't play on Thursday against Philadelphia. He logged 25 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Sacramento Kings and was added to the injury report heading into this one because of back spasms. With Khris Middleton (ankle) out for over a month, Beasley has been getting more work, making him a viable fantasy commodity. However, now that he's out, Pat Connaughton, averaging 10.5 points and 7.5 assists in two starts this season, will make a fine value addition to DFS lineups.

Malik Beasley Questionable For Thursday

Milwaukee Bucks guard Malik Beasley (back) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Bucks are likely going to wait and see how Beasley feels closer to tip-off. If Beasley is forced to sit, Pat Connaughton and Patrick Beverley would likely be asked to play bigger roles. Between the two, Beverley is the better streaming choice between the two players.

Malik Beasley Likely To Return To Action Tuesday

Milwaukee Bucks guard/forward Malik Beasley (illness) is listed as probable for Tuesday's clash with the Spurs. He's missed the last two games with an illness but appears to be feeling better and ready to go. Andre Jackson Jr. had a pair of impressive outings in the starting unit as Beasley's replacement, but he will now head back to the bench. Beasley has been a good fit in Milwaukee as a floor spacer who has hit nearly 46 percent of his triples. Scoring should come easily again for him and the Bucks on Tuesday against a team that allows the fourth-most points in the league and won't have Victor Wembanyama (ankle) protecting the paint.
