Malik Beasley News
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley had a season-high 29 points along with four rebounds and two assists in 40 minutes during Saturday's overtime loss to the Spurs. The guard also went 7-for-11 from downtown. Beasley paced the team in scoring and has put together a nice little stretch where he has had at least 21 points in three of the last five games now. He will look to keep things rolling against the Spurs again tomorrow.
Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Malik Beasley had a classic revenge game against the Nuggets on Sunday, scoring a season-high 25 points on 10-for-16 shooting against the team that traded him 11 months ago. He went 3-for-5 from downtown and added seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks to polish off a big fantasy line. Jarrett Culver notched 20 points and D'Angelo Russell posted an 18-4-7 line, but Minnesota's frontcourt is really struggling without Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist) and thus they didn't manage to stay competitive in the game. It will likely be the same story in Tuesday's rematch between the two teams but Beasley, who has kicked off 2021 with a pair of 20-point outings, should be set up for success again.
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley scored 21 points as Minnesota falls to the Washington Wizards on Friday. Beasley shot 8-for-13 from the field and 3-for-6 from three to go along with three rebounds and nothing else in 26 minutes. With Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist) out, the Timberwolves have lost three straight, but Beasley has seen increased opportunity. However, Beasley is only a points and threes streamer who does not offer much else in the box score. The Timberwolves will have a couple games against the Denver Nuggets coming up on Sunday and Tuesday. Beasley will be a low-end option for points and threes in these contests.
Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Malik Beasley led all scorers during Wednesday's victory over the Pistons with 23 points on 10-for-18 shooting overall, going 3-for-9 from behind the arc. Beasley's offensive output is even more impressive with the fact that it came in just 27 minutes of action, as he added four rebounds and two assists to his stat line as well. Having emerged as a lethal scoring threat since arriving in Minnesota last year, Beasley inked a four-year, $60 million deal during the off-season to potentially be the third star that the team could pair alongside Karl-Anthony Towns and D'Angelo Russell. With Beasley's off-the-court issues seemingly not set to interfere with his on-court production, he is now a must-start fantasy asset on a nightly basis moving forward due to his offensive upside.
