Michael Carter-Williams Listed As Out Against Cavs
Orlando Magic guard Michael Carter-Williams (ankle) won't play against Cleveland on Wednesday evening. The veteran continues to miss time while tending to a sprained left ankle, an absence that has opened the door for Cole Anthony to get a consistent helping of minutes at the point. With Terrence Ross (back) doubtful, R.J. Hampton and Dwayne Bacon could also be in store for more fantasy production once again, although both men are risky options in all formats.
Orlando Magic guard Michael Carter-Williams (ankle) is out once again on Sunday against Indiana. The veteran has missed his previous four contests while tending to a sprained left ankle. In his stead, Cole Anthony should continue to be a popular option in all formats, with R.J. Hampton also seeing an increase in his fantasy stock.
Michael Carter-Williams Won't Play Against Rockets
Orlando Magic guard Michael Carter-Williams (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Houston Rockets. He will sit this one out as he continues to deal with a sprained left ankle. His absence will mean Cole Anthony sticks in the starting five for at least one more game. However, it wouldn't be shocking to see Anthony stay in the starting five once Carter-Williams is cleared to play. Anthony has picked up his play recently and is worth a look as a streaming option or DFS choice for Sunday's slate.
Michael Carter-Williams, Cole Anthony Returning On Wednesday
Orlando Magic guards Michael Carter-Williams (illness) and Cole Anthony (ribs) are both available for Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. Carter-Williams has missed each of the last three games due to a non-COVID related illness. Anthony has not played in over two months, but is expected to suit up here. It's unclear if either player is going to be limited at all. Nonetheless, it's nice depth for Orlando, but neither player is much of a weapon in fantasy leagues.
Orlando Magic guard Michael Carter-Williams (illness) will not play on Saturday against the Jazz. The veteran will now miss his second consecutive outing while dealing with a non-COVID-related illness. With the team down a handful of players, including Khem Birch (illness), look for Chasson Randle and Dwayne Bacon to potentially benefit on the fantasy end. DFS managers should keep them both in mind if running low on cap space.
Orlando Magic guard Michael Carter-Williams stuffed the stat sheet in Tuesday's victory over the Clippers. Carter-Williams didn't impress in the scoring column, with eight points on 3-for-10 shooting, though he compiled nine assists, seven rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in 32 minutes. The 29-year-old didn't commit a single turnover, just the third time he's accomplished that feat this year. Carter-Williams doesn't offer much upside as a scorer, but he can turn into a great DFS value on nights like these when he's filling up multiple categories, namely defensive ones. He could be a good value once again on Thursday night against the Pelicans. They've allowed the sixth-most FanDuel points to opposing point guards.
Michael Carter-Williams Returning To Action Tuesday
Orlando Magic guard Michael Carter-Williams (knee) will be returning to the lineup on Tuesday against the Clippers. Carter-Williams left Sunday's game against the Lakers with a bruised knee, but was able to do everything during Monday's practice. Head coach Steve Clifford said that there was a bit of swelling but that the 29-year-old is expected to be fine. The Magic will continue to need Carter-Williams with their backcourt banged up, though the arrival of R.J. Hampton via trade certainly doesn't help the former's fantasy value.
Terrence Ross And Michael Carter-Williams Both Out Friday
Orlando Magic guards Terrence Ross (knee) and Michael Carter-Williams (illness) will not play Friday against the Brooklyn Nets. Both players were questionable Friday, as well as Thursday, but neither player will play in the back-to-back set. Chasson Randle got the spot start at point guard and will likely do so again while Dwayne Bacon should see some more opportunities off the bench. Randle offers little appeal in a DFS setting, but neither hold much upside in season long leagues.
Michael Carter-Williams Will Miss Thursday’s Contest
Orlando Magic point guard Michael Carter-Williams (illness) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Knicks due to a non-COVID-19 illness. Much like New York, Orlando's PG depth will be heavily short-handed with Cole Anthony and Markelle Fultz also unavailable. Chasson Randle stands to continue seeing a sizable role with Carter-Williams down, although he'll be a risky DFS asset in GPP contests due to the Knicks' excellence on the defensive end of the floor. Since entering the starting lineup 13 games ago, Carter-Williams has averaged 11.4 points, 5.8 assists and 4.4 boards per outing. His next chance to suit up comes Friday versus Brooklyn.
Michael Carter-Williams Produces Full Line Against Hawks
Orlando Magic guard Michael Carter-Williams produced a full line in a loss to the Hawks on Wednesday. Carter-Williams compiled 20 points with six rebounds, six assists, two triples, two steals, and a block in 34 minutes. The 29-year-old has been more productive as of late- but the last two games have really been great showings from the Syracuse product. Carter-Williams has notched at least 18 points, six rebounds, six assists, a triple, and a steal in each of his last two contests. He'll get a break with All-Star weekend coming up, though it will be interesting to see if he can pick up right where he left off in the second half.
