Guard Trent Forrest has signed a deal with Spanish team Baskonia. The 26-year-old will move to Europe following 151 NBA appearances. He took the court 38 times with the Atlanta Hawks last term, posting 2.2 points and 2.4 assists in 10.9 minutes. Forrest spent two seasons in Atlanta after starting his NBA career with the Utah Jazz in 2021-22. He's struggled to get regular action but can now showcase his talents in the Spanish ACB league and the EuroLeague.
Trent Forrest Returning To Atlanta On Two-Way Deal
Atlanta Hawks guard Trent Forrest is re-signing with the team on Tuesday, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The 25-year-old was previously on a two-way deal which is what he'll be signing to stay with the team. He appeared in 23 games with the Hawks and averaged 2.3 points,1.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists across 12.0 minutes per game. He also played in seven games for the G League affiliate where he posted averages of 16.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per contest.
The Atlanta Hawks added to their backcourt depth by signing combo guard Trent Forrest to a two-way deal for the upcoming year. Forrest was an undrafted free agent who spent the past two seasons primarily coming off the bench for the Jazz, with whom he appeared in 90 games (six starts). He averaged just 3.1 PPG in that time, but shot 47.8 percent overall and made enough of an impression to join the Hawks. The 24-year-old is the latest new face in Atlanta, who has already brought Dejounte Murray and Aaron Holiday aboard to join Trae Young and Bogdan Bogdanovic in the backcourt. Forrest won't be a fantasy asset at the start of the year, although he could garner second-unit minutes if the opportunity presents itself.
Utah Jazz guard Trent Forrest (foot) won't play on Thursday against Dallas. The 23-year-old hasn't played since the beginning of April as he continues to make his way back from a left foot sprain. At least initially, Forrest wasn't expected to have any kind of a role during the postseason. However, if Utah can force a Game 7, there's a chance he could get some action, primarily with Donovan Mitchell (quadriceps) likely not at 100%.
Utah Jazz guard Trent Forrest (foot) won't play on Thursday night against the Dallas Mavericks. The 23-year-old hasn't played since April 8th because of a left foot sprain. However, with the Jazz at full strength, Forrest wouldn't have played much anyway.
Utah Jazz guard Trent Forrest (foot) isn't available for Game 1 of the series matchup against Dallas. He is on the shelf because of a left foot sprain. However, with Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, and Jordan Clarkson all healthy and ready to go, Forrest wasn't pictured to have much of a role anyway.
Trent Forrest, Elijah Hughes Draw Starts For Friday’s Game
Utah Jazz point guard Trent Forrest and small forward Elijah Hughes have been bumped into the starting five for Friday's contest against the Raptors. Forrest and Hughes will be joined by Jared Butler, Eric Paschall, and Hassan Whiteside, with all of the group having promising DFS upside due to the widespread absences of nearly every regular Jazz contributor. Both Forrest and Hughes have played sparingly off the bench this season, with neither accumulating more than five points in a single outing. The duo carry sizable risk due to their inexperience, but at punt play price tags, they boast two of the highest value-reaching ceilings on the board.
The Utah Jazz will be without forward Rudy Gay (heel) and guard Trent Forrest (concussion) for Wednesday's season opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Gay is still in the midst of recovering from offseason surgery on his left heel. He doesn't have a timetable for a return as of now. Forrest, meanwhile, is in concussion protocol. Royce O'Neale and Eric Paschall should benefit from Gay's absence. Meanwhile, rookie Jared Butler could see some late game action on Wednesday with Forrest on the sidelines, assuming the Jazz (13.5 point favorites) handle business.
