Troy Brown Jr. News
The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed former Laker Troy Brown Jr. to a two-year deal worth $8 million, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The second year of the contract is not guaranteed, so Brown will have to prove himself yet again to make sure he stays under contract after this coming season. He's coming off his second-best season, as he averaged 7.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 43.0% from the floor and 38.1% from three. He'll battle Jaylen Nowell and Kyle Anderson for minutes off of the bench, but he shouldn't be on any fantasy radars at the moment.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Troy Brown Jr. (quad) will play Monday against the Houston Rockets. Brown recently came back from a quad injury and played 37 and 38 minutes in the two games back. Despite feeling some soreness after those games, Brown was probable to play Monday so there was not much of a concern in his game status. Brown should continue to see his main role, but could see a reduce in minutes due to the nature of the second half of a back-to-back set.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Troy Brown Jr. (quad) is listed as probable for Monday's game against the Houston Rockets. The 23-year-old returned from a quad injury roughly a week ago. He has played nearly 40 minutes in each of the last two games. That being said, it wouldn't be shocking to see Brown get the night off on Monday. Patrick Beverley (illness) has been cleared to play, so he'd have an increased role if Brown sits out. Fantasy managers will have to check back closer to tip-off for more information.
Los Angeles Lakers guard/forward Troy Brown Jr. (back) is expected to play on Sunday versus the Trail Blazers. The 23-year-old signed with the team in the offseason. However, he's been battling a back issue and has yet to make his Lakers debut as a result. Brown averaged 4.3 points and 3.1 rebounds in 66 games with the Bulls last season. But he may see an expanded role in L.A. in 2022-23, potentially making a few starts here and there. With that said, fantasy managers should stay away from Brown for now until he demonstrates he can be a reliable producer.
