Indiana Pacers shooting guard/small forward Tyreke Evans took the court for the first time for his new club. Evans struggled a bit from floor connecting on just 3-of-12 of his shots to finish with 12 points while grabbing six rebounds and distributing three assists. Evans had a bounce-back season last year but has a serious injury track record and already picked up an ankle injury in training camp this preseason. If Evans can stay healthy this season, we can expect some solid late-round output.
Memphis Grizzlies guard/forward Tyreke Evans will remain out of the lineup until a trade has been completed. Multiple suitors have appeared and trade talk is escalating which has lead to Evans taking the seat until a deal is made. Memphis has eight players listed out Wednesday including Mario Chalmers (hamstring), so Andrew Harrison, Wayne Selden and Ben McLemore will receive big bumps in playing time until the trade deadline. Harrison figures to get first crack at the starting gig, but Selden is a better dart throw for DFS.
Memphis Grizzlies guard/forward Tyreke Evans was one rebound away from a triple-double during Monday's matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers. Evans played 36 solid minutes, finishing the night with 25 points on 7-for-15 from the field. He also dished out a game-high 12 assists and pulled down nine boards in the 123-114 win. Evans continues to play consistently on a team that has been far from it this season. With his name swirling around the rumor mill as of late, Evans may find himself producing for a new team relatively soon.
JaMychal Green, Tyreke Evans, Ben McLemore, Wayne Selden Out Monday
Memphis Grizzlies power forward JaMychal Green (ankle), shooting guard Ben McLemore (foot), shooting guard Wayne Selden (quadriceps) and shooting guard Tyreke Evans (knee) are all out for Monday night's game against the Houston Rockets. Green, Selden and McLemore have all been dealing with their respective injuries for quite some time so their absences aren't anything new. However, with Evans being a late addition to the team's injury report, minutes will be available. In their absences, expect more court time for power forward Chandler Parsons and small forward Dillon Brooks with power forward Jarell Martin getting the start.
