NFL Power Rankings: Week 12
Parity is the key ingredient that keeps the NFL highly entertaining week to week. We’ve seen great teams lose to bad teams, then turn around and rout their next opponent, while even teams with bad records remain hyper-competitive into the fourth quarter. The chaos that unfolds each week has made the 2023 NFL season one of the more intriguing case studies to analyze in recent years. No team remains undefeated, while every team has at least one win. The NFL MVP odds race continuously shifts, as Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ 21-17 road win over Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in Week 11 has elevated Hurts atop the NFL MVP odds race for the first time this season. Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens lost at home to Gardner Minshew and the Colts but then blew out the Lions and Seahawks later in the season. Pittsburgh’s climbed into a 6-4 record to remain competitive in the AFC North despite being outscored in nearly every offensive metric.
Ranking these teams based on their production through 11 weeks is difficult but that’s what makes this process so much fun. Any team can win any given Sunday, and now, we’re entering Thanksgiving week, which is where the playoff hunt starts to really heat up. The move to seven playoff teams from each conference a couple of years ago has created a lot more opportunities for franchises to compete for a postseason berth down the stretch. Divisional races are tightening, while injuries and trade deadline acquisitions continue to reshape the league.
Fantasy football has been a rollercoaster ride as a result of the unpredictable outcomes we’ve seen through 11 weeks of action. Three quarterbacks are top-five for fantasy points per game at each skilled position, as Josh Allen (QB1/22.5 FPPG), Jalen Hurts (QB2/22.4 FPPG), and Justin Herbert (QB3/21 FPPG) all have used their arm and legs to consistently reward fantasy managers with big outings this season. Other standouts include Christian McCaffery, who has only gone one game without a touchdown while averaging 22 fantasy points per game within the 49ers’ potent West Coast offense. Tyreek Hill is the overall WR1, averaging 21.5 points per game, with Keenan Allen (WR2) reviving his career with a monster season, benefitting from injuries in the Chargers’ wide receiving corps. Meanwhile, at a volatile tight end position, Travis Kelce remains overall TE1, averaging 13.8 fantasy points per game this season.
In this weekly NFL power rankings article, we analyze the current state of all 32 teams, while focusing on one relevant player on each team in a fantasy football context. NFL fantasy analyst Matt MacKay is back to share his latest NFL power rankings entering Week 12, ranking each team from first to worst, 1-32, while using half-PPR scoring to assess how fantasy football players have performed entering the NFL Week 12 Thanksgiving slate. Now is the time to make a push toward the fantasy football playoffs, so let’s dive right in to find out how players, good or bad, should perform for the remainder of the fantasy football season.
1. Philadelphia Eagles
It may not always look pretty, but Philadelphia’s balanced offense allows them to win games in a multitude of ways. Jalen Hurts went into Arrowhead Stadium and knocked off the Kansas City Chiefs defense, making smart throws and using his legs when necessary, including two goal-line touchdowns via Brotherly Shove. The Eagles’ defense is starting to round into form as well, with one of the most daunting defensive lines in the league. They remain the lone 9-1 team heading into Thanksgiving, while Hurts is now atop the NFL MVP odds race at +250.
RB D’Andre Swift – After a few quiet weeks, D’Andre Swift leaped back into RB1 production, handling 12 carries for 76 yards and a touchdown while adding three receptions for 31 receiving yards against Kansas City. Swift draws another top-ten fantasy running back matchup against Buffalo in Week 12, keeping him in low-end RB1 territory.
2. Baltimore Ravens
Similar to Philadelphia, Baltimore’s multi-balanced, run-centric offense allows them to keep winning games. A 34-20 win at home in prime time over Cincinnati, albeit without Joe Burrow for most of the game, has the Ravens sitting atop a competitive AFC North. Lamar Jackson is second in NFL MVP odds (+420) after Week 11, so as long as Baltimore carries another win over the Chargers into a Week 13 Bye, they should be primed to make a deep run in the AFC playoffs.
QB Lamar Jackson – Lamar Jackson is averaging 18.8 fantasy points per game this season, ranked QB8, but he finally threw multiple touchdowns against the Bengals for the first time since a dominant Week 7 win over Detroit. His rushing upside continues to elevate his production, as Jackson is handling eight to ten carries per game, averaging 5.3 YPC. He’s scored five rushing touchdowns, but none since Week 7, so positive regression is ahead for the former 2019 MVP winner in upcoming games against the Chargers, Rams, and Jaguars.
3. Detroit Lions
Ranked fourth in yards per play, seventh in total points (272), and third in rushing touchdowns (16), the Detroit Lions are now 8-2 for the first time in six decades. Head coach Dan Campbell has revived a franchise mired in losing with his gritty coaching style and leadership, while Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Amon-Ra St. Brown form a potent nucleus of talent on offense that can contend with nearly any team in the league.
RB Jahmyr Gibbs – Despite being held in check at the start of the season before being forced into the RB1 role, rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs is RB8 in fantasy points per game this season, averaging 15.7 points. He’s benefitting from playing behind an elite run-blocking offensive line unit, plus OC Ben Johnson’s scheme, scoring at least one rushing touchdown in four straight games. Another divisional home game against the Packers presents a top-12 fantasy running back matchup for Gibbs to exploit as a bonafide RB1 in fantasy leagues.
4. San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers’ Bye came at the perfect time, adding Chase Young on the edge, while allowing quarterback Brock Purdy to hit a mental reset. Since the Bye, Purdy has torched Jacksonville and Tampa Bay’s defenses for over 620 passing yards and six total touchdowns, finishing with a perfect 158.3 passer rating in Week 11 against the Buccaneers. It appears all is well in San Francisco again.
WR Brandon Aiyuk – Another strong outing from Aiyuk was expected against a weak Bucs’ pass defense in Week 11, but he took it to another level, recording a 76-yard touchdown reception, resulting in a 5-156-1 stat line on six targets. He’s a downfield weapon for the 49ers, and when he scores touchdowns, which has only happened in three games this season, Aiyuk ascends into a top-ten fantasy wideout. He’s facing the 13th most favorable wide receiver matchup against the Seahawks in Week 12, so keep Aiyuk plugged into lineups as a high-end WR2 with WR1 upside.
5. Dallas Cowboys
Dallas looked sleepy early against an inferior Carolina team, but they got going in the second half, scoring 16 points in the fourth quarter, including a pick-six, to coast into a 33-10 win on the road. Dallas is 7-3 and comfortably in playoff position, with another plus matchup against NFC East divisional rival Washington on Thanksgiving.
RB Tony Pollard – It finally happened! Tony Pollard ended an eight-game touchdown drought with a hard-earned run up the middle against Carolina, scoring his third touchdown of the season. Pollard produced his normal fantasy points otherwise, carrying 12 times for 61 yards and hauling in four of five targets for another 19 receiving yards. Pollard remains a high-floor play against the Commanders, which are a top-13 fantasy matchup for running backs, so keep Dallas’ RB1 locked into lineups as a mid-range RB2.
6. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs couldn’t get out of their own way against the Eagles on Monday Night Football, blowing a late opportunity to come back in a Super Bowl rematch at Arrowhead Stadium. Mahomes did his part, but his wideouts weren’t helpful in catching passes. Kansas City lost the turnover battle for the second time in its last three games, while the offense looked good with second-year running back Isiah Pacheco deploying his physical running style out of the backfield. Expect more of a run-centric game plan against a porous Raiders run defense in Week 12.
WR Justin Watson – It had been percolating for a while, but Justin Watson earned 11 targets in a plus matchup against the Eagles’ secondary, hauling in five receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown. Mahomes looked to Watson early for a touchdown and didn’t stop targeting him until the game was over. It’s his second year with the Chiefs after playing in Tampa Bay for four seasons but without a definitive WR1 in Kansas City, Watson deserves to be a primary waiver wire target if not already added on fantasy benches.
7. Miami Dolphins
Tyreek Hill continues to carry Miami’s offense when it matters most, accounting for 146 receiving yards and a touchdown in a gritty 20-13 win over Las Vegas. The Dolphins are still searching for their first signature win of the season, with a tough matchup against a stout Jets pass defense in a divisional road game on Black Friday during Week 12.
WR Jaylen Waddle – Waddle has shown some promising moments this season, but the consistency, combined with injuries, has made him a volatile prospect to put into fantasy lineups. He’s averaging 11 fantasy points per game, WR26 this season, and only has one game over 15 fantasy points. He’s not getting an ideal matchup against the Jets secondary in Week 12, so treat Waddle as a fringe WR2.
8. Denver Broncos
Somehow, some way, Denver’s four-game win streak has them looking to make a run in a crowded AFC playoff picture. Sean Payton and Russell Wilson are cooking nicely, with Courtland Sutton catching touchdowns each game and a vastly improved defense containing the Chiefs, Bills, and Vikings in three straight matchups.
WR Courtland Sutton – WR21 in fantasy points per game, Sutton has kept a high floor due to his ability to find the end zone in 2023. He has yet to hit over 16 fantasy points in a game, but his high floor keeps Sutton firmly in WR2 territory against a tough Cleveland secondary in Week 12.
9. Houston Texans
Arguably the team of the year, Houston’s 6-4 record has been refreshing under first-year head coach Demeco Ryans and No. 2 overall rookie quarterback C..J. Stroud. The Texans have won three straight games and have a monster AFC South divisional home game against Jacksonville in Week 12. Expect them to be competing for an AFC playoff berth down the stretch against teams like the Jets, Titans, and Colts.
QB C.J. Stroud – Stroud is QB6 in fantasy points per game (19.1) despite hardly using his legs. Stroud’s pocket poise and strong, accurate arm, combined with his calm demeanor under pressure or making an interception, is an intangible that cannot be taught. He’s singlehandedly turned Houston’s franchise in a positive direction, which is why he’s in the NFL MVP race. Stroud is a QB1 in most matchups, including against Jacksonville in Week 12, who he toasted for 280 yards and two touchdowns in a road win earlier this season.
10. Buffalo Bills
After a 2-4 stretch, firing OC Ken Dorsey seemingly rallied the Bills. Josh Allen threw three touchdowns against a stout Jets pass defense in Week 11, getting a huge momentum win within the division ahead of another big tilt on the road against the 9-1 Eagles.
RB James Cook – RB26 in fantasy points per game shows that Cook hasn’t been producing as we expected this offseason. However, the second-year running back now has double-digit production in two straight games, scoring a receiving touchdown in Week 11 and recording over 100 rushing yards in Week 10. As long as the Bills’ offense settles into a more balanced approach, as we’ve seen lately, Cook should be in store for consistent RB2 production.
11. Cleveland Browns
Cleveland’s outlook at 7-3 is extremely encouraging, especially with two consecutive divisional wins over Baltimore and Pittsburgh. The Browns will need to lean into their rushing attack and offensive line to chew the clock and move the chains, but it’s their top-three defense, led by Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward, that keeps them competitive against every opponent.
RB Jerome Ford – Fantasy managers can expect RB2 production from Jerome Ford moving forward in a run-centric Browns offense. The high-volume rushing attack leaves enough room for both Ford and Kareem Hunt to co-exist. Ford has delivered a high floor via double-digit fantasy production in five of his last six games. He also ended a three-game touchdown drought, which saved his week in fantasy football. Treat Ford as a mid-range RB2 moving forward.
12. Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks have been exchanging wins and losses every other week since Week 8. Geno Smith has been inconsistent in the pocket, but the Seahawks defense has managed to do just enough to keep games within reach down the stretch. Seattle had a go-ahead 55-yard field goal in the final seconds fail to split the uprights in a 17-16 loss to the Rams in Week 11. Now, they have a short week to prepare for the 49ers at home.
WR D.K. Metcalf – Targets haven’t been a problem for Metcalf, as he’s at 23.8 percent with Tyler Lockett in their last three games. The number of receptions has been an issue though, but Metcalf wound up hauling in five receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown against the Rams, his first since Week 4 against the Giants. Metcalf is a mid-range WR2 and goes against the 49ers’ pass defense, ranked as the sixth-best fantasy wide receiver matchup.
13. Jacksonville Jaguars
A much-needed bounce-back win over Tennessee kept Jacksonville ahead of Houston by half a game in the AFC South during a 34-14 win over the Titans in Week 10. Trevor Lawrence and Calvin Ridley accounted for four touchdowns, while a huge matchup on the road against 6-4 Houston in Week 12 will be a game to circle during Thanksgiving weekend.
WR Calvin Ridley – Ridley’s underwhelming season took a turn for the better in a great matchup against the Titans’ porous pass defense. The Jags’ wideout finished with 27.6 fantasy points, his most of the season, breaking 20 points for the first time since Week 1. Ridley remains a volatile low-end WR2 with WR1 upside against the Texans in Week 12.
14. Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota’s five-game win streak came to an end in Denver but there’s still plenty of momentum left surrounding Josh Dobbs and head coach Kevin O’Connell. Overcoming key injuries isn’t easy, but a home game against Chicago in Week 12 should get the Vikings back into the win column to remain in contention for an NFC Wild Card seed.
WR Jordan Addison – Since Dobbs began taking snaps, Jordan Addison’s production has gone way down. There are more run-centric concepts, more targets allocated to T.J. Hockenson, and Addison’s rapport with Dobbs clearly isn’t as strong as it was with Kirk Cousins. Addison is a fringe WR2 with a WR3 floor against the Bears in Week 12.
15. New Orleans Saints
New Orleans maintains a lead in the NFC South division but its season hasn’t been very promising thus far. A good defense, conservative offense, and a 2-3 record in its last five games played makes their upcoming matchup against Atlanta a must-win to retain momentum and a hold on the divisional lead.
WR Chris Olave – Drafted in the second round of fantasy drafts this offseason, second-year wideout Chris Olave hasn’t returned value yet. He looked good with Jameis Winston under center, but the expected return of Derek Carr keeps Olave in mid-range WR2 territory. Olave is averaging just seven yards per target this season, but against a porous Atlanta pass defense, he might be able to break 20 fantasy points for the first time in 2023. Temper expectations though, as we haven’t seen more than 13 points from Olave with Carr under center since Week 3.
16. Pittsburgh Steelers
Firing OC Matt Canada will tell a lot about the Steelers’ offense moving forward. Pittsburgh is 6-4 in the AFC North, relying on clutch plays and a stout defense to earn wins in games where they have been outmatched on paper. Kenny Pickett will need to prove he’s capable of throwing the ball downfield effectively without Canada’s conservative play calling used as an excuse, starting with a road game against their AFC North divisional rival Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12.
RB Jaylen Warren – The Steelers’ second-year running back has ascended in the offense each week, while still handling the same amount of touches as Najee Harris. Warren has scored touchdowns in back-to-back games, including an impressive 74-yard rushing touchdown against the Browns in Week 11. He’s scored 12.8 fantasy points or more in three straight games, so an upcoming matchup against a Bengals’ run defense that has been getting torched lately keeps Warren in fringe RB1 territory.
17. Las Vegas Raiders
The Antonio Pierce era of the 2023 Las Vegas Raiders has been fun to watch and successful on the field. The Raiders took the Dolphins down to the wire in Week 11, but their running game with Josh Jacobs was unable to get going. Another tough matchup against the Chiefs awaits in Week 12, however, the Raiders are 5-6 and remain in contention for an AFC Wild Card berth, so expect a good divisional matchup on Sunday.
RB Josh Jacobs – Yes, Jacobs was contained in Week 11, finishing with under 40 rushing yards on 14 carries. Yet, he’ll get a top-13 fantasy running back matchup against the Chiefs in Week 12. Expect Jacobs to return to 20-plus carries and double-digit production as a high-end RB2 against Kansas City.
18. Green Bay Packers
Green Bay has yet to win back-to-back games but the Packers earned their biggest win of the season against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. Jordan Love continues to be a gunslinger, throwing deep targets to a young but talented wide receiving corps, making the Packers an intriguing team to watch down the stretch despite being 4-6 entering a Week 12 matchup against the Lions on Thanksgiving.
WR Romeo Doubs – Second-year wideout Romeo Doubs has been a red zone machine, scoring four touchdowns in his past five games. Doubs is averaging 10.1 fantasy points per game, alongside rookie Jayden Reed, but he’s a high-end WR3 and fringe WR2 as long as the touchdowns continue to follow him into a top-12 fantasy matchup against the Lions’ pass defense.
19. Indianapolis Colts
It’s been a remarkable season for the Colts, who somehow find themselves 5-5 despite playing with Gardner Minshew under center. Jonathan Taylor is beginning to turn it on, while head coach Shane Steichen has done a great job getting Indianapolis to .500 on a two-game win streak. Next up, a home game against Tampa Bay, which would put the Colts into contention for the AFC South with a win.
RB Jonathan Taylor – Taylor has handled 20-plus touches in back-to-back games. Now, he’s entering Week 12 against a stout Tampa Bay defense with at least 10 fantasy points in four straight games following a massive contract extension after a prolonged holdout. Taylor’s elite volume keeps him at fringe RB1 value despite the tough matchup against the Bucs’ run defense.
20. Los Angeles Chargers
It’s the same old story for the Chargers. Losing one possession games late in the contest. Head coach Brandon Staley is back on the hot seat following a late-game collapse against the Packers, while Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen continue to shine in an otherwise disappointing offense.
WR Keenan Allen – The Chargers’ veteran wideout is WR2 in fantasy points per game (19.1) this season and has 83 receptions for over 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Allen has benefited from injuries to the Chargers’ wide receiving corps this season, drawing 14-16 targets in each of his previous two games played. This volume is enough to keep Allen locked into lineups as a bonafide WR1 rest of season.
21. Los Angeles Rams
The Rams continue to fight despite sitting at 4-6. Matthew Stafford’s return under center is all it took to grind out a huge divisional win in Week 11, making the Rams 3-0 in the NFC West ahead of a road contest against Arizona in Week 12.
WR Puka Nacua – Fifth-round rookie wideout Puka Nacua continued his strong campaign in Week 11, hauling in five of seven targets for 5-70-1, finishing with 16.2 fantasy points. Nacua benefitted from Cooper Kupp exiting the game early with an ankle injury, while he ended a four-game touchdown drought with his third touchdown of the season against the Seahawks. Nacua did suffer a shoulder injury during the win, but if he plays in Week 12 against Arizona, he’s a mid-range WR2.
22. Cincinnati Bengals
The loss of Joe Burrow puts a damper on what was turning into a strong mid-season rally from the Bengals. An AFC North matchup against Pittsburgh awaits Cincinnati in Week 12.
RB Joe Mixon – The resurgence of Joe Mixon is one of the few bright spots remaining in Cincinnati. Mixon has handled double-digit carries in every game this season, while also earning three to five targets in four of his past five outings. The Bengals’ RB1 is also scoring touchdowns each week since Week 8 against the 49ers, so a matchup against Pittsburgh should see Mixon produce mid-range RB2 numbers once again.
23. Atlanta Falcons
Arthur Smith is under a lot of pressure after Atlanta’s three consecutive losses. Desmond Ridder returns under center for the Falcons in a Week 12 road matchup against NFC South divisional opponent New Orleans, which feels like a must-win for the Falcons at 4-6.
RB Bijan Robinson – The rookie running back, who was drafted in the first round of fantasy drafts this offseason, finally returned to 20-plus touches for the first time since Week 2, converting 22 carries into 95 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Cardinals in Week 11. Robinson’s upcoming matchup against the Saints is tough, but he needs to remain locked into lineups with this type of elite volume, carrying an RB2 floor into a pivotal divisional road game in Week 12.
24. Washington Commanders
Washington continues to fight in every game, giving us a fun offense to watch with Sam Howell recording a 66.7 percent completion rate with over 3,000 passing yards and 18 touchdowns this season. Howell’s overcoming bad offensive line play and a nearly non-existent rushing attack under OC Eric Bienemy, while the Commanders defense is among the worst in the league this season. Washington is 1-4 in its last five games ahead of a difficult Thanksgiving Day road contest against Dallas.
RB Brian Robinson Jr. – Despite the inconsistent run game from Washington, second-year running back Brian Robinson Jr. has been able to average RB1 production in fantasy points per game (RB11/13.5 FPPG) this season. Robinson has 13 receptions in his last two games played, creating a huge floor, while also scoring touchdowns four of his past six games played. Robinson is a low-end RB2 against the Cowboys’ stout run defense in Week 12 with high-end RB2 upside.
25. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans have shown a strong rapport, while running back Rachaad White has evolved into a versatile playmaker out of the Buccaneers’ backfield. The defense is horrendous against opponent passing attacks though, while the offense hasn’t scored more than 20 points in five of its past six games played. A road game against the Colts in Week 12 gives both teams a chance to win outright.
RB Rachaad White – White’s slow start has been forgotten, as the second-year running back has produced anywhere from 12.9 to 25.9 fantasy points in five consecutive games. White’s ability to handle goal-line touches and receive three to seven targets per game creates an RB2 floor. His upcoming matchup against the Colts’ run defense, which is a top-five fantasy running back matchup, makes White a fringe RB1 in Week 12.
26. Chicago Bears
Justin Fields looked great during his return against Detroit but the Bears couldn’t hang onto another second-half lead, allowing the Lions to score 17 points in the final three minutes of the game to mount a comeback. At 3-8, Chicago’s season is pretty much over at this point, as they’ll stay on the road against Minnesota in Week 12 before going on Bye in Week 13.
WR D.J. Moore – Moore’s rapport with Fields was demonstrated in Week 11, as Chicago’s WR1 finished with 19.1 fantasy points with 7-96-1 on nine targets. Moore had gone five consecutive games under 10 fantasy points, mostly due to back-up Tyson Bagent filling in for Fields during a thumb injury, but as long as Fields remains healthy under center, expect high-end WR2 production from Moore moving forward.
27. Arizona Cardinals
Arizona couldn’t go 2-0 with Kyler Murray under center after beating Atlanta late in Week 10, suffering a 21-16 loss on the road to Houston in Week 11. Next up, the Cardinals host the Rams, who previously beat them 26-9 with Josh Dobbs playing quarterback. At 2-9, Arizona has yet to log more than 260 passing yards in any game this season, so expect a heavy run-centric approach once again facing Los Angeles in Week 12.
QB Kyler Murray – Murray has accounted for 13 carries for 84 rushing yards and two touchdowns in two starts with Arizona. He also benefits from James Conner in the backfield, drawing attention in RPO plays. Murray has also logged at least 214 passing yards in both games this season, but one passing touchdown compared to two interceptions. A tough Rams secondary should result in more rushing production from Murray, who profiles as a fringe QB1 in fantasy lineups during Week 12.
28. New York Giants
Tommy DeVito recorded three passing touchdowns in a 31-19 win over Washington in Week 11. It was the first signs of positive momentum in the Giants’ offense nearly all season, albeit against a bottom-tier defense. Next up, New York hosts the lowly New England Patriots, which could result in a second consecutive win for Devito and the Giants.
RB Saquon Barkley – New York’s offense is centralized through Saquon Barkley. He’s earning elite volume, plus he caught two touchdowns against the Commanders in Week 11. Barkley’s 13-36 carries per week in the past four games played, combined with three to five targets in the passing attack, makes him a fringe RB1 in a top-14 fantasy running back matchup against the Patriots in Week 12.
29. Tennessee Titans
There hasn’t been much to gloat about in Tennessee outside of rookie quarterback Will Levis’ four touchdown debut in a win over Atlanta back in Week 8. Three consecutive losses, with the last two coming in blowout fashion, has many wondering whether head coach Mike Vrabel deserves to be put on the coaching hot seat with a 3-7 record entering a Week 12 contest against Carolina.
RB Derrick Henry – The Titans’ franchise running back is getting older and playing behind a bad offensive line. Henry is RB20 in fantasy points per game (12.1) this season but he hasn’t scored more than 4.9 fantasy points in two consecutive games. We’ve seen Henry flash for stretches this season though, so a top-two fantasy running back matchup against Carolina in Week 12 makes him a low-end RB2 with potential RB1 upside.
30. New England Patriots
It’s bad in New England when head coach and GM Bill Belichick is getting questioned about his competency and credibility. Mac Jones was benched on the final drive in London during an awful 10-6 loss to the Colts. The Patriots’ pass defense is atrocious, allowing over 258 passing yards in four of its past fives games played. What previously looked like a good bounce back spot against the Giants could wind up being New England’s fourth consecutive loss in Week 12.
RB Rhamondre Stevenson – RB31 in fantasy points per game (10.5), Rhamondre Stevenson has begun to heat up lately. The third-year running back handled 20 carries for 88 yards against the Colts in his last game played, while also catching three receptions for 14 yards in five targets. Stevenson’s usage as a pass-catcher keeps him in RB2 territory, but if he can continue feasting on 15-20 carries against a porous Giants run defense, ranked as a top-12 fantasy running back matchup, Stevenson becomes a high-end RB2 as the primary weapon in New England’s anemic offense.
31. New York Jets
The Zach Wilson experiment is officially over. Aaron Rodgers’ anticipated return from an Achilles tear could happen in December, but the Jets need to handle business against the high-octane Miami offense in Week 12. The Dolphins defense is also getting healthier with Jalen Ramsey back, making this a much tougher team to compete against with a dysfunctional offense that we’ve seen from OC Nathaniel Hackett thus far.
WR Garrett Wilson – As bad as it’s been for the Jets’ offense, Garrett Wilson remains a WR3 in fantasy points per game (10.2) this season. He finished with -0.1 fantasy points against Buffalo in Week 11, but previously had three games with at least 13 fantasy points. A quarterback change to Tim Boyle shouldn’t get much worse than Week 11. Miami’s pass defense remains a top-ten fantasy wideout matchup, so Wilson still contains WR2 upside, although it’s quite a risky scenario with an underwhelming quarterback and a good divisional opponent.
32. Carolina Panthers
The Panthers opting to take Bryce Young No. 1 overall after trading away D.J. Moore to acquire that draft capital is looking like one of the biggest errors in recent NFL history. Young has struggled but the offense lacks talent, while the defense is plagued with injuries. Head coach Frank Reich will be a top hot-seat candidate if the Panthers cannot beat the 3-7 Tennessee Titans on the road in Week 12.
WR Adam Thielen – After a bad two week stretch going under 7.5 fantasy points, Adam Thielen bounce back against Dallas with 8-74 on 11 targets, finishing with 11.4 fantasy points. It gives him a WR3 floor with WR1 upside when he scores touchdowns, so facing a porous Titans pass defense that has been torched most of the season, Thielen is a low-end WR2 with a WR3 floor against Tennessee in Week 12.
