NFL Week 10 Fantasy Recap

NFL Week 10 Fantasy Recap

Another week, another QB1 finish for Dak Prescott. There was even a solid gap between him and the QB2, Justin Herbert. Rounding out the top 5 were Joshua Dobbs, Sam Howell, and Geno Smith. Unusual, but very fun to see different faces at the top this week. Tough weeks for Lamar, Josh Allen, and Trevor Lawrence. They all finished outside of the top 15 QBs.

The top 5 running backs this week make me chuckle. The RB1 was Brian Robinson, followed by Jahmyr Gibbs, Devin Singletary, Austin Ekeler, and Javonte Williams. Gibbs has been on fire and Ekeler is a usual suspect in the top 5 so no surprises there. But Devin Singletary and Brian Robinson?! How crazy is that?! How wild is it that Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris both finished in the top 10? Very unusual for this season at least. It’s not every week we see Derrick Henry, Tony Pollard, and Travis Etienne in the bottom tier, but this week we did. Fingers crossed that can flip back next week!

Wide receivers have been all over the place this year, but this week, we got a veteran-dominated top 5 in fantasy points. Keenan Allen, CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Mike Evans. Everything feels right with a top 5 like that. There were also some veterans who rode the struggle bus this week. DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, Stefon Diggs and Terry McLaurin all struggled to get things going.

A bit of a healthy mixture in the tight end world near the top. T.J. Hockenson smashed this week, Trey McBride has been thriving since he took over for Zach Ertz, Kittle had a massive week, Kincaid is producing numbers we haven’t seen out of a rookie tight end in a long time, and Tyler Conklin snuck in at number 5 to round out the top 5 in this one.

Quick Links

Panthers vs Bears

We started week 10 with a barn burner, that’s for sure. Bears got the win 16-13 in this Thursday night matchup. Mainly because Carolina couldn’t get anything going. This was evident by their top fantasy scorer having 10.2 points. Adam Thielen led the way because of course he did. He had 6 catches for 42 yards in week 10. The targets are still there for Thielen, but the production has been lacking lately. Would love to see that turn around as fantasy playoffs approach! Bryce Young and his 185 passing yards came in second for fantasy points. Young scored 9.2 points. Chuba Hubbard struggled to get anything going as he only logged 23 rushing yards and 39 total yards. Rough outing for Panthers players to say the least.

Chicago players didn’t have the greatest week, but there were a few players who managed to put together solid weeks. Leading the way for the Bears was D’Onta Foreman, who scored 17.2 points. He ran for 80 yards, had 2 catches, and a TD on the ground. Thank goodness, because I plugged him into multiple lineups. After him was D.J. Moore with 10.9 points. Moore had 5 catches for 58 yards. The touchdowns have not been coming for DJ, but once Fields is back under center, we should see those come back! Cole Kmet hauled in 5 passes for 45 yards, giving him 9.5 points this week. Definitely not the huge weeks he has been having, but 9.5 points is fine from a tight end. Pretty much every other Bears player was irrelevant after those three. I am eager for Fields to be back on the field!

Colts vs Patriots

New England is on the struggle bus right now. This loss takes them to 2-8 this season with no hope at the QB position in sight. At least Demario Douglas is a shining light in a dark room. He has been on a solid streak the past few weeks. This week he scored 14.4 points. Three out of the last four weeks he has scored in the double digits. He needs to get in the end zone! Rhamondre was the next high-scoring player for the Patriots this week. He led the team with 88 rushing yards and added 3 catches to that giving him 13.2 points this week. Zeke sprung into the double digits this week, scoring 10.2 points. Plenty of byes and injuries out there so my guess is he was in lots of lineups! Tough break for the Patriots who traveled to Germany and were unable to come back to the motherland victorious.

Considering this game was 10-6, I am shocked we had solid fantasy scores out there. Luckily, Michael Pittman Jr. was one of them. This makes six straight weeks of double-digit fantasy points from Pittman. What more could you ask for? 16.4 points this week from 8 catches for 84 yards. Jonathan Taylor had a 14.5-point week and he is also on a double-digit point streak. After those two it was slim picking. Isaiah McKenzie was the third-highest scorer with 7.1 points. Josh Downs and Gardner Minshew both had crappy weeks. Luckily, they played the Patriots so they escaped with a W.

Bengals vs Texans

Wow, we truly are witnessing a stud QB blossoming right before us. C.J. Stroud now has back-to-back wins with game-winning drives! Tough break for the Bengals who seemed to be back on track. For the most part, Joe Burrow had a solid game. 347 passing yards and 2 TDs. But the 2 interceptions were killer. Kept him at 19.88 fantasy points this week. Could have been damn near 25 points for him if not for the picks. Ja’Marr Chase went off. 23.4 points on 5 catches for 124 yards and a TD. With no Tee Higgins in the lineup, the Bengals needed someone to step up. Tyler Boyd and Trenton Irwin did just that. Boyd had 19.7 points on 8 catches for 117 yards. Irwin had 13.4 on 2 catches for 54 yards and a deep TD catch. Mixon put together a 12.5-point week from his 46 rushing yards and touchdown. Unfortunately, it was their efforts were not enough to help them get the win. Tyler Boyd did drop what would have been a game-changing TD pass late in the 4th quarter…

As I said earlier, C.J. Stroud is clearly HIM. He is firing on all cylinders right now and pushing the Texans into playoff territory. Stroud threw for 356 yards and a TD. Luckily, Devin Singletary was running all over the Bengals’ defense, so Stroud didn’t need to throw a bunch of touchdowns. Stroud had 19 points and Singletary scored 23. The real MVP, for the second straight week, was Noah Brown. Brown recorded 172 passing yards from 7 catches (24 pts). Hell of a two-game stretch for him. Tank Dell made some noise as well as he had 18.9 points. 6 catches for 56 yards and a TD. Last but not least was Dalton Schultz. Schultz had 11.1 points this week. 4 catches for 71 yards for him. The Texans are sitting at 5-4 and staring a playoff spot in the eyes!

Saints vs Vikings

Any week we get to see Jameis Winston tossing the rock is an automatic W. Which is kind of the opposite for the Saints, but hey, he’s fun to watch. After Carr got hurt, Jameis came in and almost led the Saints to a comeback. Jameis had 122 yards and 2 TDs after he came into the game (8.88 pts). Chris Olave was happy to see Jameis because he scored 21.4 points this week and found the end zone yet again. 6 catches for 94 yards and the score for Olave. Kamara also had another solid week scoring 18.5 points. 42 rush yards, 7 catches, and 33 receiving yards for Kamara this week. The surprise of the week goes to A.T. Perry, who caught 2 passes for  38 yards, and a touchdown. He can thank Jameis for that! Taysom Hill cooled off, only logging 4.3 points this week. The Saints fall to 5-5 and need to find wins before playoffs are out of reach!

At this point, I don’t think anyone can stop Joshua Dobbs. He finds wins no matter what he has to do! 25.12 points for him the week. 268 passing yards, 1 TD, and 44 rushing yards with a TD on the ground. You absolutely love to see it. T.J. Hockenson managers are wiping off the sweat from their foreheads, as we didn’t know how their connection would be. But clearly, it’s going to be great as Hockenson had 11 catches for 134 yards and a touchdown. 30.4 points for T.J. this week. A slight drop-off after those two. Jordan Addison got to 10 points this week from his 4 catches for 69 yards. Not great, but not bad by any means. There were definitely people out there, myself included, who had to slap Ty Chandler in their lineups. If you did, hey, you got 10 points. Hopefully, he can carve out a role in that offense going forward as Alexander Mattison got hurt in this game. This makes it 5-straight victories for the Vikings who are now in the hunt for a playoff spot!

Steelers vs Packers

I think the funniest part about this matchup is the fact that both of these teams usually come out of the gate slow, and score most of their points (or lack thereof) in the second halves of games. Not this one, though. These two teams scored most of their points in the first half and struggled to score in the second half. Very weird. Jayden Reed was the high-scoring player for the Packers. He caught 5 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown this week. Good for 19.4 points. Jordan Love had 289 passing yards and 2 TDs. He also threw 2 interceptions which isn’t ideal, and that brought him down to 16.6 points this week. Could have had a 20+ point week Jordan! Romeo Doubs was the last player who scored double digits for the Packers. Doubs had 12.1 points this week on 3 catches for 31 yards and a TD. Solid week for the Green Bay pass-catchers not named Christian Watson. The running backs didn’t do very well. Both Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon scored 9 points. Dillon had 70 rushing yards and Jones had 4 catches. Not a great week for Green Bay.

The Steelers keep on finding ways to win! This week, they rode the hot hands of Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris. They had a combined 183 rushing yards. 101 from Warren and 82 from Najee. They each scored a touchdown as well. Warren scored 19 points this week and Najee had 18.6 points. Hell of a week from the duo! Unfortunately, that’s where the fantasy production ends. George Pickens was the third high-scoring player for the Steelers and he had 7.5 points. Diontae was held to one catch and Pickett barely crossed 6 points. How they got the win with those numbers, I don’t know, but alas Pittsburgh was victorious.

Titans vs Buccaneers

This was a, um, terrible performance by the Titans. 6 points? Good lord. You know when Tyjae Spears is your leading fantasy scorer, things probably didn’t go so well and that’s exactly what occurred. Tyjae Spears led the Titans with 10 points. No, I’m not kidding. You might be asking, “What did Henry score?” It’s not good. King Henry was held to 3 points. What in the world? The Bucs defense is not that good, what the hell happened?? DeAndre Hopkins was the leading receiver, right? NOPE. That would be Kyle Phillips. 3 catches for 61 yards. I’m not even going to recap anyone else because it is disgusting. Levis was just shy of 200 yards and that was all of his fantasy points (5.96).

A much different story on the other side of the field. Tampa Bay was led by Mike Evans and his monster day. Evans scored 26.3 points this week. He caught 6 passes for 143 yards and a touchdown. Love to see Mike thriving! He is 263 receiving yards away from 10 straight seasons of 1,000+ yards. Incredible! Baker had the next-best score with 18.32 points. He had 278 passing yards and 2 TDs. Only one pick for Baker this week! Rachaad White came in next with 17.8 points this week. White had 51 rushing yards, 2 catches, 47 rushing yards, and a touchdown. He continues to dominate in fantasy. Chris Godwin had a quiet week with 9.4 points. He only had 4 catches for 54 yards. Despite a huge week 9, Cade Otton only managed to have 2 catches for 10 yards this week. The Bucs get a much-needed win!

Jaguars vs 49ers

Man, I don’t know what it was but Jacksonville did not show up for this game. They were only able to score 3 points. A field goal. The only person with production from this game on Jacksonville’s side of the ball was Christian Kirk. Kirk caught 6 passes for 104 yards this week. He lost 2 points from a fumble. In terms of fantasy production, there is a massive dropoff after Kirk. Travis Etienne Jr. scored 6.4 points this week on 35 rushing yards and 2 catches for 9 yards. Tough week for the 2023 stud. Engram, who has been rather consistent, only scored 5.2 points and Calvin Ridley only had 4 points. Not to mention, Trevor Lawrence had his worst game of the year with 2.1 points. On to week 11, Jaguars…

The same cannot be said for San Francisco. They were firing on all cylinders. Led by none other than Brock Purdy with 23.84 points. Purdy threw for 296 yards and 3 TDs this week. He threw to his buddy George Kittle plenty. Kittle caught 3 passes for a total of 116 yards with a touchdown. 20.6 points for Kittle this week! McCaffrey wasn’t far behind with 20.2 points. He had 95 rushing yards, 6 catches, and 47 receiving yards. Unfortunately, McCaffrey’s touchdown scoring streak came to an end this week but Shanahan tried his hardest to get him in the end zone before he pulled him out of this blowout game. Deebo Samuel returned to action this week and was involved all over the place. 15.9 points from 59 total yards, 4 catches, and a running TD. Brandon Aiyuk came in at 14.5 points after catching a laser TD throw. 3 catches for 55 yards, and a TD for him. The 49ers defense was the #1 defense this week with 19 points.

Browns vs Ravens

What an exciting division rivalry matchup this one turned out to be. The Ravens were up 14 points in the 4th quarter and blew the lead. We’ve heard this story before! Keaton Mitchell was their high-scorer and he only touched the ball 4 times. Isn’t that weird? 13.6 points from 34 rushing yards, a touchdown on the ground, and 1 catch for 32 yards. Lamar came in next, with 13.02 points. He had 223 passing yards, 1 TD, and 2 picks. Also added 41 rushing yards on top. Zay Flowers had been quiet as of late, but he put together a 12.3-point performance this week. He had 5 catches for 73 yards. Odell Beckham Jr got a revenge-game touchdown and scored 11 points as well. Gus Edwards came back down to earth this week and scored 9.8 points. Mark Andrews struggled this week, only scoring 6.4 points. That tough Cleveland D got the best of him.

Deshaun Watson led the Browns to yet another victory. 16.22 points from him off of his 213 passing yards, TD, and interception. Also had 37 rushing yards. Next up was Amari Cooper. Cooper had 6 catches for 98 yards this week (15.8 pts). Cooper has been solid this year despite the ups and downs the Browns have faced. Elijah Moore popped back up into relevancy this week. Moore had 15.4 points! He caught 5 passes for 44 yards and a TD. Despite the tough Ravens D, Jerome Ford was able to run the ball for 107 yards. He is filling is adequately ever since Chubb suffered his injury. We even saw David Njoku in the action, catching 6 passes for 58 yards. Hell of a comeback victory for the Browns this week!

Falcons vs Cardinals

Man, Arthur Smith really told us! He can’t even beat the 1-8 Cardinals! He’s so smart. NOT. That’s sad. So much talent on the Falcon’s offense and they can’t beat one of the worst teams in the league. It didn’t help that besides Bijan, no one really contributed much on the offensive side of the ball. Bijan had 17.6 points from 95 rushing yards and a TD, and after that, there’s a big gap. The next highest score is Taylor Heinicke and he had 9.6 points. Heinicke threw for 55 yards. Yes, 55. That’s not great. Plus, Ridder came for him in the second half so you knew they were screwed. Maybe if Drake London (6.6 pts) and Kyle Pitts (6 pts) were more involved, they would do better. I dunno. Seems obvious to me but maybe Heinicke & Ridder just aren’t good enough to do so. Bad week for the Falcons that’s for sure.

Kyler Murray returned to the field after an ACL injury in 2022. Pretty quick turnaround for a shifty QB! Kyler threw for 249 yards but also ran for 33 and a score. He clearly showed he’s still got the speed and I’m sure as he begins to trust the knee more, we will see plenty of big plays from him. 17.26 points in his 2023 debut. I was worried he wouldn’t target Trey McBride as much as the previous QBs were, but worry no more! Trey McBride is here to stay. McBride was the team-high fantasy score with 21.1 points. McBride caught 8 passes for 131 yards. If only he found the end zone! Would have been a massive week. Rondale Moore was just shy of double digits, scoring 9.6 points this week. We also saw James Conner come off IR with Kyler, and Conner scored 7.3 points from his 73 rushing yards. I’m sure he will be back in the double digits next Sunday! Love the win for the Cardinals, but hate to see them move back down the draft board if they keep winning.

Lions vs Chargers

This might’ve been the game of the week! What an exciting matchup these two teams put together. Another absolutely dominant performance from Keenan Allen in this one. Allen scored 40 points this week! That’s his second time this season scoring 40+ points. You love to see it. He caught 11 passes for 175 yards and 2 TDs. WR1 for week 10. Justin Herbert finished with 28.4 points this week, making him the QB2 only behind Dak. Herbert had 323 passing yards, 4 TDs, and an interception. Massive week for Herbie. Austin Ekeler also scored in the 20’s. 67 rushing yards, 4 catches, 48 receiving yards, and a TD got him there. Top 5 finish for Ekeler this week. With Joshua Palmer out, Jalen Guyton popped into the double digits this week with a nice touchdown catch. He scored 14.1 points this week from his 4 catches for 41 yards and a TD. We even saw Quentin Johnston catch his first NFL touchdown this week. He wound up with 13.4 points off of 4 catches for 34 yards and the score. Hell of a day for the Chargers players, too bad they couldn’t get the win.

The Lions players also had awesome days. Leading the way was the Sun God, Amon-Ra St. Brown. He scored 30.5 points this week. 8 catches for 156 yards and a TD. He is on an absolute TEAR right now. In 6 out of 8 games he has played this year, he racked up 100+ receiving yards. You know who else is on a tear right now? Jahmyr Gibbs. Three straight games of 25+ fantasy points. This week, Gibbs had 77 rush yards, 3 catches for 35 yards, and a TD at the goal line. 26.2 points this week! Love to see it. Jared Goff had himself a solid day. 333 passing yards, 2 TDs, and 21.12 fantasy points. Ain’t nothing wrong with that! David Montgomery returned from IR in dramatic fashion. He took a 75-yard run to the house! He racked up 116 rushing yards and the TD (17.6 pts). The Lions kicked a field goal for the win, sending the Chargers to 4-5 on the season.

Cowboys vs Giants

This one got out of hand, and quickly. Dallas went up 28-0 in the first half. Not great. Tommy DeVito and the Giants struggled to get anything going. DeVito was their leading scorer with 13.5 points. 86 passing yards and 2 TDs. One of which was on the last play of the game. Lawrence Cager, who I have never heard of, was next in scoring. 8 points for him on 1 catch for 10 yards and a score. Yikes. Saquon barely got to 7 points, and that should tell you everything you need to know about the Giants this week. Good luck for the rest of the season, Giants fans…

Much different story on the other side of the field. The Cowboys couldn’t be stopped. Specifically, CeeDee Lamb. 11 catches, 151 yards, 1 TD in the air, and 1 TD on the ground. Lamb scored a whopping 39.5 points this week making him WR2 overall. Dak came in at QB1 this week. 404 passing yards and 4 TDs will do that! A massive week in fantasy for Dak, scoring 37.86 points. QB1 for week 10! It’s not very often we see 3 players on the same team score 30+ points, but the Cowboys managed to do so this week. Brandin Cooks dropped a 32.3-point bomb this week! 9 catches for 173 yards, and a TD. Love to see it out of the veteran. Hell, even Michael Gallup scored 15 points this week. Big game from him. Tony Pollard is struggling to get things going this season, but at least Rico Dowdle was doing his thing. Dowdle had 79 rushing yards and a TD this week. Jake Ferguson is filling in quite nicely for Dalton Schultz. Jake Ferguson scored 12.6 points this week and scored a TD for his third straight week, tying Jason Witten’s rookie record. Hell of a win for the Cowboys!

Commanders vs Seahawks

This was a really thrilling game as well. More so in the second half than the first but either way it was a great witching hour on Redzone! Another big week for Sam Howell & Brian Robinson. Robinson had a huge week, racking up 157 total yards with 6 catches and a TD. 27.7 points for him this week. His 2nd boom week of the season! Sam Howell continues to solidify his role as the starting QB in Washington. Howell threw for 312 yards and 3 TDs (24.18 pts). Love to see him avoid interceptions. Antonio Gibson had a second straight week of double-digit points. 16.5 points this week from 55 total yards, 5 catches, and a TD. Dyami Brown popped up out of nowhere, scoring 12.1 points in week 10. Logan Thomas got you 9 points this week, and Terry McLaurin was unfortunately only able to put together a 7.3-point performance. That young secondary got the best of F1.

A pretty solid week across the board for Seahawks players and their fantasy scores. Geno Smith led the charge, he scored 24 points this week. 369 passing yards and 2 TDs for the vet. Tyler Lockett made some noise this week, hauling in 8 passes for 92 yards, and a TD. This got him to 23.2 points in week 10. This marks his third week with 20+ points this season. Kenneth Walker returned to form, racking up 127 total yards with a touchdown to go with it. 19.7 points for him this week. D.K. Metcalf, who is a large part of the reason they won this game, caught 7 passes for 98 yards (16.8 pts). He caught a handful of passes on the final drive to get them in field goal position for the win. Jaxon Smith-Njigba only had 9.3 points this week, but he will turn it up soon! Great win for the Seahawks and they move to 6-3 this season.

Jets vs Raiders

The Jets are struggling. Two straight losses and not a lot of offensive success right now. Garrett Wilson is scraping by, managing to score 15+ in three of the last four games. Most of his points come from PPR points. This week, he had 9 catches for 93 yards (18.3 pts). He led the team in fantasy points. Second, was Tyler Conklin. He also had a good chunk of catches, 7 to be exact, for 70 yards. He scored 14 points this week. back-to-back games with 10+ points for Conklin. If you’re looking for a TE, he might be on waivers! Zach Wilson had 263 passing yards and 54 rushing yards. No touchdowns. This put him at 13.92 points for week 10. Breece Hall struggled this week. Only 28 rushing yards, 3 catches, and 47 receiving yards for him (10.5 pts). I’m begging them to get an O-line for him. tough stretch for the Jets, and it will only get harder going forward. Their next two opponents are the Bills and Dolphins.

On the surface, the Raiders aren’t exactly “succeeding” on offense, but they’re winning games, which helps alleviate the flaws. Davante Adams carried them this week, catching 6 passes for 86 yards. He scored 14.6 points. I wish he found the endzone instead of Michael Mayer, who scored 10.9 points this week mainly due to the touchdown. Josh Jacobs ran for 116 yards this week, but he was unable to score as well, so he ended with 12.7 points after a couple of catches. I’m curious if the Raiders will go back to Jimmy G after the lack of success from Aidan O’Connell. Jakobi Meyers has been on a rough stretch the past couple of games. Week 9 was saved by a rushing touchdown, but week 10 did not come with the same luck. Maybe week 11!

Bills vs Broncos

Man oh man are the Bills riding the wagon. The struggle wagon that is. Two straight losses and three out of the last four games have been losses. Tough scene. Josh Allen continues to turn the ball over and stall offensive drives. Not to mention the fumbles by James Cook. Things are not going great in Buffalo. The bright light in the darkroom is Dalton Kincaid, who led the team in fantasy points this week. 16 points for him, he caught 5 passes for 51 yards and a TD. Latavius Murray was the second high-scorer this week. Murray had 14.9 points from 68 rushing yards and a TD. Josh Allen finished with 14.38 points which is simply not great for the caliber of QB he is. Despite the fumbles, James Cook wound up with 109 rushing yards. 12 points for him this week. Stefon Diggs had a stinker week, getting a measly 6.4 points. Hate to see it. Buffalo needs a fix, and they need it fast!

Denver, on the other hand, has now won three straight games and has a chance to make a playoff push! They have a tough schedule in front of them, but the last two games were unexpected results, so who knows what will happen! Javonte and his knee are clearly back to 100%. Javonte ran for 79 yards and caught 4 passes for 31 yards and a TD. He scored 21 points this week. Russ dropped an 18.7-point performance, but more importantly, he did not have an interception! Clean football is the best football. 193 passing yards and 2 TDs for Russ. Courtland Sutton had a solid week. 17.9 points from 8 catches for 53 yards and a TD. Love to see him scoring again. He now has 7 TDs in 9 games. Not much production outside of the top 3 scorers. Jerry Jeudy had a clutch play at the end of the game to draw a pass interference and get them within field goal distance, which is worth more than any fantasy points! Great win for the Broncos this week.
