NFL Week 8 Fantasy Recap

NFL Week 8 Fantasy Recap

Week 8 was full of a lot of spectacular games! Plenty of high-scoring affairs as well as tough divisional matchups. We even saw a few veterans make big splashes in the fantasy world. The Jaguars are on a 5-game winning streak. The Bengals, Ravens, Jets, and Vikings have won 3 in a row. On the flip side of that, the Colts, Packers, Bucs, and everyone in the NFC West besides the Seahawks are on a losing streak.

This week, Sam Howell took the throne for QB1. He loves dominating the Eagles, I guess? Dak is on a heater, he finished as QB3 and Will Levis surprised us all with a top-6 finish. I am curious to see how he does in primetime against the Steelers on Thursday night. Patrick Mahomes finishing near the bottom of the league is unusual, but I heard he was dealing with an illness. I don’t see that being a trend.

In the running back world, we had some familiar faces in the top 10, as well as some new faces. The new faces included Jahmyr Gibbs (2nd week in a row top 10), Gus Edwards, and Javonte Williams. Travis Etienne, CMC, and Alvin Kamara have been dominating lately as they finished top 10 yet again. Rachaad White snuck in there too! A few crappy weeks from big names like Tony Pollard and Kenneth Walker. Walker broke his streak of games scoring a TD. Aaron Jones and the Packers offense are miserable, which stinks because I was high on Jones this year.

The top 4 wide receivers this week were CeeDee Lamb, DeAndre Hopkins, A.J. Brown, and Tyreek Hill. It feels good to see those names at the top together. It is like a “nature is healing” moment. Jaylen Waddle, Jahan Dotson, Rashid Shaheed, and Gabe Davis rounded out the top 10 this week. Courtland Sutton has scored in 6 out of 8 games this year and Chris Olave seems to be on the struggle bus so hopefully he get right that ship. Tough week for Puka and Kupp as they both scored sub-10 points.

The tight end world is so crazy week to week. The top 5 this week were Trey McBride, George Kittle, T.J. Hockenson, Taysom Hill, and Sam LaPorta. Who would’ve guessed? Not me. (insert Paul Rudd meme).

Let’s look at how these matchups affected our fantasy scores!

Bills vs Buccaneers

Other than the Bucs going cold in the second half, this was a pretty solid ball game. Baker scored 21 points after tossing a late-game touchdown. 237 yards and 2 TDs for Baker this week. When he isn’t throwing interceptions he is solid for fantasy. Rachaad White became the dump-off king, catching 7 passes for 70 yards while tacking on 39 rush yards. Soldi week for him with 17.9 points. They found out rather quickly they couldn’t run it, so they just got him in open space and let him do his thing. Godwin found the end zone this week for the first time this season! About time! 5 catches for 54 yards and the score (17.8 pts). Mike Evans salvaged his week, catching a TD late in the 4th quarter. 3 catches for 39 yards and the TD (12.9 pts). The Bucs fall to 3-4 and the NFC South seems to be slipping out of their hands!

As for the Bills, they won another close one! Came down to a hail-mary attempt with some questionable no-calls. Not in my opinion, but from what I saw on X (formerly Twitter). Josh Allen had a hell of a night throwing for 324 yards and 2 TDs. He also ran for 41 and a TD which propelled him to 29 points and QB2 for week 8. Gabe Davis week! Did you start him?! I didn’t. Because I only have him in best ball leagues. He hauled in 9 passes for 87 yards and a TD (23.7 pts). Dalton Kincaid was a popular waiver wire add and rightly so, as he scored 17.5 points this week. 5 receptions for 65 yards and a TD this week.  Diggs put up 16 points this week from 9 catches for 60 yards, which is more than fine from me if my receiver gets 15+ points. Tough week for James Cook managers, as he only scored 8.3 points, but keep your chin up! Better weeks ahead for the sophomore back.

Rams vs Cowboys

This one got out of hand FAST. It felt like I blinked and the Rams were down 33-9. Which was the score at halftime. Dallas came out of the bye week locked and loaded. The Rams were not able to keep up. Cooper Kupp was almost non-existent. He had 4 catches for 21 yards. Puka was also shut down, he only had 3 catches for 43 yards. The leading receiver was Darrell Henderson Jr. with 3 catches for 54 yards. He also added on 31 rush yards giving him 11.5 points making him the Rams high-scorer. Yikes. You know when a guy who was watching NFL games on his couch two weeks ago leads you in production, shit hit the fan. Stafford (11.38 pts) hurt his hand, so keep an eye on his status going forward. Royce Freeman found the endzone if you happen to be playing him. Tyler Higbee had 9.5 points which isn’t THAT bad for a tight end. Tough week to be a Ram that’s for sure!

I heard Aaron Rodgers on the Pat McAfee show mention that Mike McCarthy usually does well after a bye week, and clearly, that came to fruition in this one. I actually took Lamb’s over on receiving yards at 70.5 and he destroyed that! Lamb caught 12 passes for 158 yards and 2 TDs. WR1 on the week with 41 points. The last week Dak played (wk 6), he was QB1. After the bye, Dak finished as QB3. He is on a tear! 28.06 points from 304 yards and 4 TDs. Hell of a week! Jake Ferguson got in on the action this week, scoring a touchdown and catching 4 passes 47 yards and the TD giving him 14.7 points. Brandin Cooks also got in the double digits this week thanks to his touchdown. 14.2 points for the vet off of 3 catches for 49 yards and the TD. Great week for the Cowboys! Other than Tony Pollard and his 6.5 points. Even the defense went off. The defense had 16 points because of a pick-six. Cowboys keep on rolling!

Packers vs Vikings

If you are a bettor, you should be taking the 1st half under on Green Bay points going forward. They stink in the first half. Jordan Love stinks and so does everyone else. Well, almost everyone else. Jayden Reed has been a diamond in the rough if you ask me. He was also the high-scoring skill player with 12.3 points. 4 catches for 83 yards for Reed. Romeo Doubs found the endzone for Love’s lone passing TD. Doubs had 11.8 points this week. If you had to play A.J. Dillon, at least he got you 10 points. Better than a good chunk of running backs this week. Jordan Love had 14.56 points this week. 229 passing yards and a TD for Love. Not the best week, but it could have been way worse. The Packers keep falling in the NFC North, and things are getting murky the more they lose.

The Vikings won, but it doesn’t mask the loss of Kirk Cousins. Cousins tore his Achilles in this game. They had a big enough lead at the time that it did not matter, but the Vikings are now back to 4-4 and have a favorable schedule in the next month and change. So what will they do now?? We are going to find out, as the trade deadline is today.

Jordan Addison continues to ball out in Jefferon’s absence. Addison had another 20+ point week with 21.4 on 7 catches for 82 yards and a TD. Close behind him was T.J. Hockenson with 20.8 Hockenson caught 6 balls for 88 yards and a score. We even saw K.J. Osborn thrive this week with 8 receptions for 99 yards (17.9 pts). Kirk was dealing the ball before the injury. 19.86 points on 274 passing yards and 2 TDs. Cam Akers and Alexander Mattison continue to thrive in a confusing committee. Akers found the endzone this week giving him 9.5 points and Mattison finished with 4.3 points. The Vikings D/ST was a top 6 defense in fantasy this week with 11 points. That should tell you how well offenses were doing in week 8.

Falcons vs Titans

Before this game started, had you told me it would end up 28-23 I would have asked if Matt Ryan was under center and Derrick Henry turned back the clock. This was a wild game. Desmond Ridder left early in the game with a concussion, though he was cleared to return, but the Falcons chose to let Taylor Heinicke finish the game out. Heinicke finished with 175 passing yards and a TD. Sadly, he led the Falcons in fantasy points with 12.4. Close behind him was Bijan Robinson with 12.1 points. I know right?! Can you believe Arthur Smith used Bijan?! He still barely had more touches than Allgeier. The third high-scorer was Drake London, who missed part of this game due to a groin injury. London had 10.5 points on 5 catches for 55 yards. Tell me how KhaDarel Hodge and Scott Miller had more points than Kyle Pitts. Like what? Can’t forget Younghoe Koo! He scored 12 points for his managers this week. Atlanta is now 4-4 and tied for first place with the Saints in the NFC South.

How about Will Levis in his NFL debut coming out and throwing 4 TDs with 238 yards?! That’s awesome. He had an awesome day, scoring 26 fantasy points. However, he was topped by his guy, DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins pulled all the tricks out of the bag and scored a whopping 34.8 points this week! 4 receptions for 128 yards and 3, yes THREE, touchdowns. You love to see it. Derrick Henry carried the rock 22 times for 101 yards. He added on 4 catches for 21 yards giving him 16.2 points this week. Can’t be mad with that! The Titans might have some new juice with Levis under center!

Dolphins vs Patriots

Man, does Tua have the Patriots’ number or not? Love to see it. The Patriots simply could not get much going. Rhamondre Stevenson got shut down for the most part. Only 39 rush yards and 2 catches for 11 yards (7 points). Kendrick Bourne struck early for a TD, giving him 12.6 points on the day. He was the Pats’ high scorer. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL in this game and is out for the year. Mac Jones had 161 passing yards and 2 TDs. Giving him 12.2 points. Demario Douglas had a nice outing catching 5 passes but it was only for 25 yards. He is someone you will want to pick up this week. JuJu snuck into the endzone late in the 4th quarter giving him 7 points but that was all his production. Tough week for Patriots players.

The Dolphins players had much different days. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle each had 25+ points. Tyreek caught 8 passes for 112 yards and a TD while Waddle had 7 receptions for 121 yards and a TD. Jaylen Waddle and up the seem TD catches vs the Patriots go together like peanut butter and jelly. Tua threw for 324 yards and 2 TDs giving him 21.76 fantasy points this week. Love to see it! The rush game wasn’t quite there this week, as Mostert only had 46 yards, but he did sneak into the endzone giving him 10.6 points. The Phins are now 6-2, which is the first time in 22 years! I can’t wait for our offensive line to be healthy and De’Von Achane to be back running the ball! See you in Germany, Chiefs!

Jets vs Giants

Battle of Metlife! Except for the “life” part because this game didn’t have any life until 1 minute left in the game. This might be the shortest recap I’ve ever put together. The Giants, as a team, had -9 passing yards after sacks were taken into consideration. Tyrod had 8 passing yards and DeVito had -1. That’s horrible. Trade everyone. Saquon was given 36 carries. THIRTY SIX. He had 128 rush yards and finished with 15.8 points. There’s not a single player outside of Saquon who helped your fantasy teams other than the defense who had 13 points. Darren Waller left with a hamstring injury and the leading receiver was Matt Breida with 1 catch for 4 yards. What a terrible game.

The Jets won, but man was this ugly. Zach Wilson had 240 passing yards and a TD. He reached 12 points this week. Breece Hall made some noise early in the game with a 50-yard TD catch and run. Hall finished with 21.3 points on 6 catches, 76 receiving yards, and 17 rushing yards. Confusing line as a running back but here we are. Garrett Wilson had 7 receptions for an even 100 yards. Solid day for the young buck. The defense had 10 points, which was a top-10 team this week. As I said, this recap is short because not much happened other than a nasty overtime game-winning field goal. The final was 13-10.

Colts vs Saints

This was another game that had I missed the games this week and you told me it finished 38-27, I would have been shocked. The Colts were in this game up until about the beginning of the 4th quarter when they went down two scores. After that, they were in scramble mode and nothing was clicking. I was happy to see Michael Pittman Jr. as a focal point of the offense. He was targeted 13 times, caught 8 of those, and had 40 yards and a TD with it. 18 points for him. Crazy that he had that many targets and catches but only 40 yards. Gardner Minshew had 12 points, throwing for 213 yards and a TD. Also threw one interception. Zack Moss wound up with the most points out of the running backs, scoring 14.4 points. He had 66 rushing yards, a TD, and one catch. Josh Downs had 14 points as well on 7 catches for 72 yards. No touchdown for him this week. Jonathan Taylor only had 10 points, but it was a weird day for him as he did not get much work in the second half. Tough loss for the Colts as they fight for a spot at the top of the AFC South.

The Saints walked out of week 8 victorious. Led by Derek Carr and his 18 fantasy points. Carr had 310 passing yards and 2 TDs with a pick. The leading scorer was none other than Alvin Kamara himself. Kamara had another monster game, scoring 27 points on 110 scrimmage yards, 2 TDs, and 4 catches. Kamara missed the first three weeks and he is already in the top 10 RBs on the YEAR. Rashid Shaheed put together a spectacular week. 24 fantasy points off of 3 catches for 153 yards and a TD. I wish this was Chris Olave’s stat line because Olave has been a letdown lately. Olave only had 9.6 points this week on 5 catches for 46 yards but had plenty of downfield chances. Taysom Hill popped off yet again, scoring 22.46 points. He is still a fantasy football cheat code. Michael Thomas reached 10 points, but that is about all he’s been able to do this season. The Saints get the win!

Jaguars vs Steelers

Pittsburgh was riding the wave after beating the Rams in LA last week but was faced with a tough task against a red-hot Jaguars. The Steelers came up short in a wet and gross game. Diontae Johnson in his second game back led the Steelers in fantasy. 8 catches for 85 yards giving him 16.5 points. After him…it is rough. Najee managed to score 10.5 points. He had 13 rushing yards but added 5 catches for 42 yards. Rough week for the running backs. George Pickens has 9.2 points but all of his points came from one catch for 22 yards that was a touchdown. No other production from Pickens this week. Rough week to be a Pittsburgh Steeler not named Diontae Johnson.

The Jaguars had much better fantasy scores. Travis Etienne led the way, per usual. Etienne had 79 rush yards, 3 catches, and 70 receiving yards with a TD. Etienne is currently the RB2 on the season! How about that?! Evan Engram came in second for fantasy points on the Jags. Engram caught 10 passes for 88 yards. Still no touchdown for him this season which is super sad. He has been so consistent but has yet to find pay dirt. Trevor Lawrence was the next high-scorer with 14.68 points. He had 292 passing yards, a TD, and a pick. Calvin Ridley, despite many benching him this week, put together a 14.3-point performance. He hauled in 6 passes for 83 yards this week. I was happy to see him get 10 targets this week. Christian Kirk didn’t have the best week, only catching 4 passes for 46 yards (8.6 points). The Jaguars are on a roll, winning their 5th straight game!

Commanders vs Eagles

Yet another game that was an absolute must-watch. Check out the highlights on YouTube if you get a chance! The final score was 38-31 and it was a thriller to watch. Sam Howell had himself a day! 30.98 points and he is the QB1 on the week. Howell had 397 passing yards and 4 TDs with one pick. I can’t believe I am writing this but Jahan Dotson was the biggest beneficiary of Howell’s monster day. Dotson had 8 receptions for 108 yards and a TD. After a rough start to the season, Dotson has wheels on the ground! The weirdest part about this game was Jamison Crowder coming out of nowhere and logging 7 catches for 95 yards and a TD. 22.5 fantasy points that more than likely helped nobody. Terry McLaurin had a solid day, scoring 17.3 points. He had 5 catches for 63 yards and a TD. Logan Thomas even had a stellar week. He had 16.4 points which was a top 10 score this week for tight ends.

While the Commanders had a big day, the Eagles had a better one. Jalen Hurts had one of his best games this season throwing for 319 yards and 4 TDs (27.36 points). A.J. Brown was the recipient of 2 of those touchdowns. A.J. Brown scored 33 points this week on 8 catches for 130 yards and 2 TDs. His first TD catch was a nasty one-handed catch! Heck, even DeVonta Smith came back to life this week. DeVonta had 7 catches for 99 yards and a TD. Good for 22.9 points this week. D’Andre Swift continues to roll, scoring 14.4 points this week. He had 57 rushing yards and a TD on a fake tush push. If you didn’t see it, go look it up! It was cool. Julio Jones caught a goal-line TD on his only catch and Dallas Goedert had 4 catches for 36 yards. So not the greatest fantasy scores for the vets. Jake Elliott scored 10 points this week, which was one of the high-scoring kickers.

Texans vs Panthers

This was another one of those games from week 8 where there just was not a lot going on. The final score was 15-13 with the Panthers getting the win at the end on a game-winning field goal. They had to kick it multiple times because the Texans kept trying to jump the snap and block it as it was over for them if they didn’t. C.J. Stroud led the Texans with 12.9 points. 140 passing yards and a rushing touchdown for Stroud. after Stroud, the leading scorer was Noah Brown with 8.7 points. From there, it was Nico Collins with 7, Devin Singletary with 6.3, and Tank Dell with 6.1 points. There’s no sugarcoating it. this was a rough week for the Texans players.

The Panthers squeaked out the win and had a few better fantasy scores. Adam Thielen, because of course, led the way for them. Thielen had 8 catches for 72 yards giving him 15.2 points. He has been a lock for his weekly O/U reception totals. Bryce Young came in as the next highest-scorer with 14.5 points. Young had 235 passing yards and 1 TD. He really needs an offense around him. It is a struggle to watch them play. Jonathan Mingo reached double digits this week, scoring 10 points. He had 4 catches for 62 yards. Eddie Pineiro also scored 10 points this week which was top 10 for kickers. I would say it was a good win for the Panthers, but it was really just a win. Nothing sexy about it.

Browns vs Seahawks

After a couple of impressive wins, the Browns failed to get a win out in Seattle. David Njoku was the leading scorer for the Browns. He had 17.7 points off 4 catches for 77 yards and a TD. Amari Cooper came in with the second most points for the Browns. He had 6 catches for 89 yards. No touchdown this week. Kareem Hunt had yet another solid week for a guy people were writing off. Hunt scored 13.7 points this week on 55 rush yards, a TD, and one catch. P.J. Walker had 10.62 points. Not his best game. 248 passing yards, a TD, and 2 picks. Jerome Ford was active despite the original injury timeline being a couple of weeks, but he only had 4.9 points. Tough loss for the Browns but hopefully they can get Deshaun Watson back soon because this offense needs that.

The Seahawks had some decent fantasy scores this week. Leading the way was the vet, Tyler Lockett. Lockett had 8 receptions for 81 yards, and a TD. Always good to see him have a solid week. Geno Smith was the next highest-scoring player for the Seahawks. He had 13.86 points off 254 passing yards, 2 TDs, and 2 interceptions. Tough week for Geno but at least he got the win. Jaxon Smith-Njigba found the endzone for the second week in a row. 3 receptions for 36 yards and the TD for the rook (12.6 pts). Metcalk was not far behind him with 11.7 points. Metcalf had 5 receptions for 67 yards. Jake Bobo even got in the action, running in a touchdown near the goal line from 3 yards out. The Seahawks got the win, but it wasn’t all that pretty.

Chiefs vs Broncos

For the first time in his career, Patrick Mahomes suffered a loss to the Broncos. That’s pretty crazy to think about. And if you ask me, it wasn’t just a loss. It was a bad loss. The Chiefs didn’t score a touchdown! I heard it was supposed to be a snow game, but by the time kickoff rolled around, the snow had cleared. So really, there’s no excuse for how the Chiefs played. The top scorer was Travis Kelce, who had 11.8 points. Yes, you read that right. Only 6 catches for 58 yards. I am starting to believe that he plays better when Taylor Swift attends his games… Close behind him was Rashee Rice with 9.6 points. 4 catches for 56 yards from Rice. Isiah Pachecho had 6.7 points, Justin Watson had 6.2 points and Mahomes had 5.64 points. All in all, just a pretty awful week for the Chiefs. I doubt we see anything like this next week in Germany.

There’s nothing more I love seeing than Javonte Williams toting the rock 27 times. The Broncos got out ahead early in this one and clearly chose to control the game from there. Javonte had 85 rush yards, 3 catches for 13 yards, and a receiving TD. Great day for the young back, scoring 18.8 points. Russell Wilson was wheeling and dealing…kind of. 114 yards but 3 passing TDs for Russ giving him 17.56 points. Could’ve been a massive day with more yards! Jerry Jeudy found paydirt this week. He hauled in 2 passes for 50 yards and the score (13 points). Courtland Sutton was also a recipient of Russ’s passing TDs. Sutton caught 2 passes for 29 yards and the TD (10.9 points). That’s not 6 out of 8 weeks that Courtland Sutton has scored a touchdown this season. Rather impressive if you ask me. The Broncos defense almost led the team in points, scoring 18 off of 2 interceptions and 3 fumbles recovered. Heck of a win for the Broncos!

Ravens vs Cardinals

The Cardinals truly gave it their all in this one. It came down to a final onside kick after already recovering an onside kick and kicking a field goal to make it a one-score game. They didn’t convert it, so the Ravens escaped victorious. The Cardinals were led by their budding star tight end, Trey McBride. He had a little bit of hype coming into this week from the fantasy football community, so to see him put up 25.5 points was pretty cool. He was targeted 14 times this week. What more can you ask for from a tight end? 10 receptions, 95 yards, and a TD for McBride. Joshua Dobbs was the next-highest score. 22.92 points from him on 208 yards, 2 TDs passing, and one TD run. Apparently, that’s not good enough to continue as the starter, so the Cardinals openly benched him on Monday. Seems fishy to me, but what do I know? Marquise Brown had a solid game, scoring 15.3 points. He had 6 catches for 33 yards and a TD. It’s worth noting that Emari Demercado had 20 carries in a game they were losing. Not a great fantasy week, but he may be a good streaming option in week 9.

How about Gus Edwards?! He had himself a day! 19 carries for 80 yards and 3 touchdowns. Hell of an outing. Gus Bus had 29 points this week. He carried me to a victory this week. Mark Andrews was the leading pass-catcher with 14 points. He caught 4 passes for 40 yards and a TD. Since Gus Edwards did all the hard work, Lamar Jackson didn’t have to be elite this week. Only 11.98 points from Lamar on 157 passing yards and a TD. Zay Flowers didn’t have his best week, that’s for sure. 6.9 points on 5 catches for 19 yards is yucky. Hopefully, Flowers can jump back into the double digits next week. Good win for the Ravens!

49ers vs Bengals

Man, tough stretch for 49ers fans. That makes it three losses in a row for the 49ers. Next week is a bye, so hopefully they can get right and come back in week 10 firing on all cylinders. Per usual, McCaffrey led them in fantasy points. MCaffrey had 29.8 points this week because of course he did. 118 scrimmage yards, 6 catches, and 2 TDs this week. Simply put, McCaffrey is a fantasy cheat code. Well worth the #1 overall pick. George Kittle had another fantastic week. He caught 9 passes for 149 yards giving him 23.9 points this week. I wish he found the end zone! Brock Purdy may not look as good as he did to start the year, but he threw for 365 yards and a touchdown. However, did throw two interceptions, which is what everyone will remember. The funny thing is, he was technically their leading rusher. Which makes me chuckle. Purdy got you 18.3 points this week. Brandon Aiyuk put together a solid score this week with 15.9 points. 5 catches and 109 yards got him there. One touchdown away from a massive week.

The Bengals seem to be figuring things out and are now 4-3 looking to surge back to the top of the AFC North. Burrow led the way with 27.62 points. He tossed the rock for 283 yards and 3 TDs. Also tacked on 6 rushes for 43 yards. Ja’Marr Chase did what Ja’Marr Chase is fully capable of doing on a weekly basis, logging 10 catches for 100 yards and a TD. Chase scored 25 points this week. Heck, even Joe Mixon came to play! Mixon had 87 rushing yards, a TD, 3 catches, and 23 yards to go with it. 20 points for Mixon this week. Feels good to see him back in the 20+ points category. Tyler Boyd continues his streak of being a solid flex option, making it back-to-back weeks with double-digit points. Boyd had 3 receptions for 40 yards and a TD (13.9 pts). Tee Higgins got you 11.9 points, but man I hope we see bigger weeks out of him going forward. Great win for the Bengals off the bye week!

Bears vs Chargers

This one started out rather electric for the Bears when Tyson Begant tossed a deep ball to Darnell Mooney on the first play for 41 yards. Except, after that, the Bears forgot how to play football. It was a rough watch as a football fan. The only positive thing from the Bears this game was Cole Kmet having 10 receptions. He was also their leading scorer with 17.9 points. 10 catches for 79 yards for Kmet. After him, it gets rough. Darrynton Evans scored 13 points from 4o total yards and a touchdown. The Bears used D’Onta Foreman like a workhorse in week 7 and then switched to a committee in week 8. I don’t understand that one. D.J. Moore had a tough week only scoring 9.5 points. 4 catches for 55 yards for Moore. He needs “Moore” work. Get it? Many were hopeful Roschon Johnson would be the lead back, but he only had 6 carries for 21 yards and 3 catches. Tough week for the Bears, but we’ll get to see Tyson Bagent one more week!

The Chargers needed to get a win this week and came in and took care of business. Justin Herbert had nearly 300 yards and 3 TDs, giving him 24 points this week. We also saw Austin Ekeler bounce back this week scoring 23.3 points. He was involved in the passing game from the get-go. 29 rush yards, 7 catches, and 94 receiving yards with a TD. We finally got the top-5 draft pick Ekeler we have been waiting for! He took away a little bit of work from Keenan Allen, but Allen was still able to score 14.9 points. Allen had 8 catches for 69 yards. No touchdown for Keenan this week. Donald Parham Jr. even got in the action recording 14.3 points. He had 4 catches for 43 yards and a TD. Joshua Palmer had been on a nice little streak but got banged up and was only able to scrounge together 5.4 points. Quentin Johnston, whom many have been waiting to see thrive, had 10 points this week and might be incorporated more in the coming weeks.

Raiders vs Lions

undefinedSomeone get Davante Adams out of Las Vegas ASAP. The fact that Jimmy Garappolo missed multiple potentially game-changing throws to him by country miles is disgusting. Adams deserves better. Adams had a stinker of a week, logging 2.1 points from 1 catch for 11 yards. Josh Jacobs led the Raiders in fantasy this week, scoring 16.8 points. Jacobs had 88 total yards and a rushing TD. After Jacobs, the highest score is Jimmy G with 4.24 points. 126 passing yards and an interception. Horrible week for the Raiders. I’m curious to see if they make any moves at the deadline. If you are a Raiders fan, are you calling for McDaniels to be fired? I’m beginning to wonder how good of a coach he really is…I dunno. Maybe it’s just me. Tough week for the Raiders.

On all accounts, the Lions had a far superior week to the Raiders. Maybe not in red zone conversions, but they won and actually scored fantasy points for our teams. Especially, Jahmyr Gibbs and his damn near 30-point week. Gibbs had 152 rushing yards, 5 catches for 37 yards and a TD. Massive week for the rookie running back! Speaking of rookie performances, how about Sam LaPorta?! 8 catches for 57 yards and a touchdown (19.7 pts). You love to see it! Amon-Ra St. Brown was a game-time decision, but he wound up playing and scored 16.8 points. 6 catches and 108 yards for Amon-Ra. Goff logged 272 passing yards and 1 TD but also had a terrible interception that got returned for a TD. Can’t be making those mistakes but at least it did not hurt them too much in this game. Jameson Williams continues to struggle, it is looking more and more like he is a fantasy bust as the weeks go on. Maybe he can flip it around after the bye week. The Detroit Lions are now 6-2 and at the top of the NFC!
