Derrick Henry Is Easier to Fade in Full PPR

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry still hasn't given anyone much evidence that he's slowing down. He ran for 1,595 yards and 16 touchdowns on 307 carries last season, averaged 5.2 yards per attempt and closed the year with four straight 100-yard games. Baltimore still views him as the clear leader of the backfield, too. The concern in full PPR is everything that happens outside of those carries. Henry caught only 15 passes for 150 yards last year and has 34 receptions in two seasons with the Ravens. That can leave some quiet fantasy weeks when the rushing touchdowns aren't there, even for a player this productive. RotoBaller has Henry 12th overall in half-PPR but 18th in full PPR, which tells the story pretty well. Nobody needs to predict an age-32 collapse after the season he just had. The rushing upside is still enormous. It's just easier to pass on Henry early in full PPR when other backs in that range can give you much more through the air.

Derrick Henry Wants to Finish his Career With Ravens

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry said Wednesday he would prefer to finish his career with the Ravens. In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Henry wrote, "I would like to finish my career with the Ravens. I never said anything about retiring lol. I'm enjoying being a Raven. I'll worry about that retirement s**t later." The 32-year-old veteran is coming off another strong season, totaling 1,745 scrimmage yards and 16 touchdowns while playing all 17 games for the third consecutive season. With superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson in the fold and still showing no signs of slowing down, the future Hall-of-Famer will look to continue his legendary run in 2026.

Derrick Henry is Not Thinking About Retirement

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry has been one of the top players at his position for many years. Despite his stellar performance, fantasy managers need to start thinking about when Henry might decide to retire. The 32-year-old is entering his 11th season in the NFL. Despite his age, Henry recently said that he's not thinking about retirement right now. He is focused on being the best player possible and helping the Ravens win football games. Henry has finished in the top-8 or better in each of the last four seasons. At some point, you would think age regression would play a factor, but Henry is apparently a different animal. He's currently ranked as the RB13 in redraft leagues heading into the season.

Derrick Henry Has Become a Sneaky Sleeper Option in Redraft Leagues

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry turned in yet another highly productive season in 2025, recording 1,595 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on 307 carries across 17 games. As he enters his age-32 season with nearly 15,000 career touches under his belt, the aging curve is an obvious red flag in Henry's profile. However, Henry has shown little sign of slowing down to this point in his career, and he should have a better offensive ecosystem around him in Baltimore this season after Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson missed four games due to injury in 2025. Henry has played in all 17 games in three consecutive seasons and recorded double-digit rushing touchdowns in eight straight campaigns. As long as he's on the field, Henry is a solid bet to provide top-12 fantasy production. At his current redraft ADP of RB13, Henry should be a draft-day target for fantasy managers.

Derrick Henry Adjusting to New Offensive Scheme in Baltimore

Baltimore Ravens new head coach Jesse Minter said that All-Pro running back Derrick Henry will need to adjust to terminology changes this year under new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. The Ravens made some big changes in the offseason, firing long-time head coach John Harbaugh and adding Minter, who will be in his first year as a head coach in the NFL in 2026. Previous offensive coordinator Todd Monken left to become the Cleveland Browns' head coach. Henry and the other Ravens' offensive playmakers have expressed excitement about Doyle's new scheme as they look to bounce back from a frustrating 2025 season that ended without a playoff appearance. The 32-year-old Henry has a lot of tread on his tires after 10 years in the NFL, but he managed his seventh 1,000-yard season (fourth straight) in 2025 and will once again be Baltimore's featured back in his 11th campaign. He's RotoBaller's No. 8 fantasy RB for 2026 and should come off the board in the second round of drafts.

Derrick Henry to Be Trusted in Dynasty Leagues Until Proven Otherwise

An outlier of the highest order, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry has played 37 games since turning 30, averaging over 115 yards per game while scoring 38 touchdowns. While the coaching staff in Baltimore faces a major shakeup for 2026, the offensive philosophy of feeding one of the league's premier bell cow backs is unlikely to change. After serving as the team's primary change-of-pace back in 2025, Keaton Mitchell was not offered a restricted free agent tender and allowed to walk in free agency, and with 11 picks heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, the Ravens did not add a running back until owner Steve Bisciotti was given the opportunity to put his stamp on the draft with the selection of Adam Randall in the fifth round. Given his age and production, it's likely that Henry is already rostered by a contending manager in most dynasty leagues, but wherever that isn't already the case, the 11th-year veteran makes for an affordable trade target and is still a potential league-winner as RotoBaller's RB24.

Derrick Henry Remains in RB1 Discussion

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry continues to ignore Father Time and remains a top option at his position. Over the last four seasons, Henry has finished as a top-8 RB or higher every season. Last season, Henry rushed for 1,595 yards with 16 touchdowns across 17 games with the Ravens. His stats took a slight decrease, but not enough to alarm fantasy managers. The Ravens haven't done basically anything to improve this running back group. With that being said, Henry remains the top dog without any real competition on the roster. The assumption is that Henry is going to slightly regress due to age, but should remain the workhorse back. As long as he remains healthy, Henry should be a high-level option for the upcoming 2026 season.

Derrick Henry's Dynasty Value Holding Steady Following NFL Draft

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry turned in yet another excellent fantasy season in 2025, recording 1,595 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on 307 carries across 17 games. The seemingly ageless 32-year-old has now played in all 17 contests in three consecutive years and has logged at least 12 rushing touchdowns in seven out of his last eight seasons. Henry should dominate carries in Baltimore once again in 2026, and could have the benefit of playing next to a fully healthy Lamar Jackson all year after Jackson missed four games due to injury in 2025. Henry's PPR value is limited by his complete lack of receiving work, as he's recorded fewer than 20 receptions and 200 receiving yards in both of his seasons with the Ravens. He's also bound to face some age-related regression at some point, given that he could approach 3,000 career NFL carries in 2026. Still, Henry is in a great position to rack up rushing yards and touchdowns in Baltimore. For win-now dynasty managers, Henry remains a high-level running back option.

Derrick Henry Still an RB1 in Fantasy Football?

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry was a top-eight fantasy option at his position for the fourth year in a row last season. He ranked as the overall RB8 in 2025 with 1,745 scrimmage yards and 16 touchdowns. Even at 32 years old, Henry has proven to be a productive and reliable ball-carrier, as well as a high-end option for fantasy managers. While he's certainly more valuable in redraft leagues than dynasty formats given his age, he projects as an RB1 once again in 2026. Fortunately for Henry, the Ravens didn't bring in any major running back competition, leaving Rasheen Ali and pass-catching specialist Justice Hill as his backups. The head coaching change from John Harbaugh to Jesse Minter could have an impact on his future, but we don't expect a massive shift. Henry ranks #12 among running backs in RotoBaller's redraft rankings for 2026, and he ranks #27 among running backs in the latest dynasty rankings.

Derrick Henry Continues to Face Minimal Competition

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry isn't getting any younger, but his lead-back role appears to be safe, given that he faces minimal competition in the Baltimore backfield. The Ravens allowed Keaton Mitchell to depart in free agency, leaving Rasheen Ali and Justice Hill as the lone ball-carriers behind Henry. Hill has flashed flex appeal in PPR leagues from time to time, and the team still has faith that Ali can be a contributor. However, this is clearly still Henry's backfield, even at 32 years old. He was the overall RB8 last year, finishing inside the top eight for the fourth year in a row. He had 1,595 rushing yards, and he scored 16 rushing touchdowns for the second year in a row. The most underrated concern in Henry's game had nothing to do with his efficiency or role, but rather, his ball security. After fumbling just once between 2023 and 2024, he coughed up the football three times in 2025. Ball security issues won't cost him his job, but they could cost him some touches from time to time. Still, we're not overly concerned about Henry's outlook for 2026, as he remains a low-end RB1 option with such a clearly defined role. Managers in dynasty leagues could try to sell high on Henry before he becomes too old to trade, but they shouldn't settle for a discount simply because he's aging.
