The Cleveland Browns will try out free-agent cornerback Adam Jones on Friday, according to a tweet from ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jones most recently played for the Cincinnati Bengals but they declined to pick up his option this spring. Jones is now 34 and would presumably compete with T.J. Carrie and rookie Denzel Ward for starting snaps in the secondary. Jones had hernia surgery last season but has since proclaimed himself fully healthy.
The Cincinnati Bengals will be without starting cornerback Adam Jones (concussion) on Sunday against the Broncos. Jones, who is still suffering concussion symptoms, will give way to William Jackson at the corner position. This is great news for Broncos receiversDemaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, who will each draw a weaker defensive back on Sunday. Fantasy owners of Thomas or Sanders should value them slightly higher this week, while owners of the Bengals defense may want to consider adding a streamer off the waiver wire.
