Adoree' Jackson News
New York Giants cornerbacks Adoree' Jackson (calf) and Dru Phillips (calf) have both officially been ruled out of the Week 4 game against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. The pair of defensive backs did not practice all week with calf injuries and didn't have enough time to be ready for the NFC East clash. This is a troublesome development heading into a matchup with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and the explosive Cowboys' passing offense. On the bright side, New York will get cornerback Nick McCloud back, who missed last week's contest against Cleveland with a back injury.

Giants Bring Back Adoree' Jackson
The New York Giants have re-signed cornerback Adoree' Jackson to a one-year deal, according to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Financial terms were not immediately reported. Jackson had spent the last three seasons with the Giants. Just last year, he racked up 63 tackles, eight passes defended, one interception, and one forced fumble. He should start at cornerback alongside Deonte Banks in Week 1, giving New York some extra defensive help as they take on Sam Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings.

Giants Re-Sign Adoree' Jackson On Friday
The New York Giants re-signed free-agent cornerback Adoree' Jackson on Friday to a one-year deal, according to a source. Jackson will return to the Big Apple with the G-Men after spending the last three seasons with them, recording 136 solo tackles, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), 23 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 37 games (36 starts). The 28-year-old former 18th overall pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2017 out of USC spent the first four years of his career with the Titans and had 176 solo tackles (six for loss), two interceptions, 33 pass breakups, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 46 games played (41 starts). Due to some injuries in New York's secondary, Jackson could play regularly early in the regular season, beginning with a Week 1 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Sept. 8.

Giants, Adoree' Jackson Negotiating A New Deal
Free-agent cornerback Adoree' Jackson went for a physical with the New York Giants on Friday to potentially talk about a return to the team. According to Jordan Schultz, the two sides are negotiating a deal right now, but nothing has been agreed on just yet. The Giants have been looking for another corner to add to a secondary that wasn't one of the best last season. PFF currently has this secondary ranked 31st out of the 32 teams in the league. Adding anyone who can help in coverage is a plus for the Giants because there are a lot of new pieces and question marks surrounding a younger core. Last season, however, Jackson received a coverage grade of 45.9 and an overall grade of 48.6 from PFF.

Adoree' Jackson Leaves, Questionable To Return On Sunday
New York Giants cornerback Adoree' Jackson (neck) left Sunday night's game against the Buffalo Bills in the second quarter due to a neck injury. The severity of the issue hasn't been figured out just yet, but he's officially questionable to return. The Giants have been hit hard by the injury bug as they already had Daniel Jones (neck) sitting out along with four offensive linemen and one defensive lineman. Losing any part of this defense against a team like the Bills is hard to endure, but Jackson's health is one to monitor to see if he can make it back into the game.

Giants Giving No Indications Of An Extension For Adoree' Jackson
There have been no indications that the New York Giants want to extend cornerback Adoree' Jackson as he enters the final year of his contract in 2023. The G-Men seem content to let him play out this season and then reassess. Jackson recently signed a three-year, $39 million deal with the Giants in 2021, but he's missed 11 games in the last two seasons and hasn't lived up to his contract when he's been on the field. The 28-year-old will have to stay healthy and play much better for the team in 2023 if he wants to stay in New York after this year. He played in only 10 games for the team last season and finished with 51 tackles (40 solo), seven passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

Adoree Jackson Out 3-5 Weeks
New York Giants cornerback Adoree Jackson (knee) is expected to miss three to five weeks after suffering an MCL sprain in their game against the Lions on Sunday. The 27-year-old was returning a punt when the injury occurred, which is a big blow to the Giants defense. He has been one of their better players on that side of the ball, forcing one fumble and recovering two fumbles with 40 solo tackles and 11 assisted tackles. He also ranks 23rd at the position, according to Pro Football Focus. His absence will make it easier for opposing receivers, including CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup, who they play on against Thursday. New York will hope to get him back soon to help them compete for a playoff spot.

Adoree' Jackson Ruled Out Sunday
New York Giants cornerback Adoree' Jackson (knee, back) has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers in London. The talented defender has amassed 25 tackles and one fumble recovery through the first five contests. Darnay Holmes and Justin Layne are in line to see more snaps with Jackson sidelined.

Giants Defense To Be Without Adoree' Jackson
New York Giants cornerback Adoree' Jackson (quadriceps) missed practice all week and has been ruled out for the Week 13 contest against the Miami Dolphins this Sunday. The Giants were hoping that Jackson would be able to play this weekend after getting injured in the Week 12 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, but that won't happen. With both Jackson out and rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney (oblique, quadriceps) doubtful to play, the Giants will have to look elsewhere for a punt returner. Jackson's absence is good news for Dolphins rookie wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, who has been a target hot in his first NFL season. Jackson's absence will make New York's defense slightly less attractive as a low-end streaming consideration.

Giants Optimistic Adoree Jackson Will Play Sunday
New York Giants cornerback Adoree Jackson (quad) should be available for the team's Week 13 matchup with the Miami Dolphins, according to reports. The Giants will evaluate how much work Jackson can handle and how he can move throughout the week. The former Tennessee Titan left Sunday's game against the Eagles early, but the New York secondary was able to hold on without one of their top corners. If Logan Ryan is able to be activated from the COVID-19 list in time for Sunday's game, the Giants could have their talented secondary of James Bradberry, Xavier McKinney, Ryan, and Jackson all active against Tua Tagovailoa and company.
