Adoree' Jackson Leaves, Questionable To Return On Sunday

New York Giants cornerback Adoree' Jackson (neck) left Sunday night's game against the Buffalo Bills in the second quarter due to a neck injury. The severity of the issue hasn't been figured out just yet, but he's officially questionable to return. The Giants have been hit hard by the injury bug as they already had Daniel Jones (neck) sitting out along with four offensive linemen and one defensive lineman. Losing any part of this defense against a team like the Bills is hard to endure, but Jackson's health is one to monitor to see if he can make it back into the game.

Giants Giving No Indications Of An Extension For Adoree' Jackson

There have been no indications that the New York Giants want to extend cornerback Adoree' Jackson as he enters the final year of his contract in 2023. The G-Men seem content to let him play out this season and then reassess. Jackson recently signed a three-year, $39 million deal with the Giants in 2021, but he's missed 11 games in the last two seasons and hasn't lived up to his contract when he's been on the field. The 28-year-old will have to stay healthy and play much better for the team in 2023 if he wants to stay in New York after this year. He played in only 10 games for the team last season and finished with 51 tackles (40 solo), seven passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

Adoree Jackson Out 3-5 Weeks

New York Giants cornerback Adoree Jackson (knee) is expected to miss three to five weeks after suffering an MCL sprain in their game against the Lions on Sunday. The 27-year-old was returning a punt when the injury occurred, which is a big blow to the Giants defense. He has been one of their better players on that side of the ball, forcing one fumble and recovering two fumbles with 40 solo tackles and 11 assisted tackles. He also ranks 23rd at the position, according to Pro Football Focus. His absence will make it easier for opposing receivers, including CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup, who they play on against Thursday. New York will hope to get him back soon to help them compete for a playoff spot.

Adoree' Jackson Ruled Out Sunday

New York Giants cornerback Adoree' Jackson (knee, back) has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers in London. The talented defender has amassed 25 tackles and one fumble recovery through the first five contests. Darnay Holmes and Justin Layne are in line to see more snaps with Jackson sidelined.

Giants Defense To Be Without Adoree' Jackson

New York Giants cornerback Adoree' Jackson (quadriceps) missed practice all week and has been ruled out for the Week 13 contest against the Miami Dolphins this Sunday. The Giants were hoping that Jackson would be able to play this weekend after getting injured in the Week 12 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, but that won't happen. With both Jackson out and rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney (oblique, quadriceps) doubtful to play, the Giants will have to look elsewhere for a punt returner. Jackson's absence is good news for Dolphins rookie wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, who has been a target hot in his first NFL season. Jackson's absence will make New York's defense slightly less attractive as a low-end streaming consideration.

Giants Optimistic Adoree Jackson Will Play Sunday

New York Giants cornerback Adoree Jackson (quad) should be available for the team's Week 13 matchup with the Miami Dolphins, according to reports. The Giants will evaluate how much work Jackson can handle and how he can move throughout the week. The former Tennessee Titan left Sunday's game against the Eagles early, but the New York secondary was able to hold on without one of their top corners. If Logan Ryan is able to be activated from the COVID-19 list in time for Sunday's game, the Giants could have their talented secondary of James Bradberry, Xavier McKinney, Ryan, and Jackson all active against Tua Tagovailoa and company.

Adoree' Jackson Dealing With Low Ankle Sprain

New York Giants cornerback Adoree' Jackson (ankle) is dealing with a low ankle sprain, which is a best-case scenario and could allow him to return for Week 1 against the Denver Broncos. Jackson was injured in practice on Wednesday and was dealing with significant swelling before undergoing an MRI exam that revealed the low ankle sprain. The 25-year-old hasn't been ruled out for Thursday's joint practice with the New England Patriots, but we'd be surprised if he was actually out there. Jackson was signed to a three-year deal in the spring and is expected to start opposite James Bradberry at right cornerback in 2021. The former first-rounder in 2017 could be an option in deeper IDP leagues with many teams trying to avoid Bradberry's side of the field, but Jackson is also an injury risk, missing 18 total games in the last two seasons.

Giants Sign Adoree' Jackson

The New York Giants signed former Tennessee Titans cornerback Adoree' Jackson to a three-year, $39 million deal on Monday, according to sources. The deal includes $26.5 million in guarantees and more than $20 million fully guaranteed. The 25-year-old was in high demand, with the Philadelphia Eagles also in the mix until the final moments. He'll be added to a secondary that already had Pro Bowl cornerback James Bradberry on one side. The Giants will hope that Jackson will be a speedy complement to the longer, more physical Bradberry. Jackson can also play in the slot and can contribute as a kick returner on special teams. He had started 41 of 46 games for the Titans, but a knee injury before the start of last season limited him to only three games in 2020.

Adoree' Jackson To Visit With Giants

Former Tennessee Titans first-round cornerback Adoree' Jackson is expected to visit with the New York Giants, according to a source. He will follow up his Giants visit by meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday. The Titans waived Jackson earlier this week to free up some salary cap space for the 2021 season. He played in 46 games for the Titans in the last four seasons, making 41 starts. But Jackson was only able to play in three games in 2020 because of a knee injury. New York upgraded their secondary by giving cornerback James Bradberry a three-year, $45 million deal last season, but they could upgrade again this year with Jackson. The 25-year-old has two interceptions, 33 passes defensed and 200 tackles in 46 career NFL games. Jackson also has some special teams experience, returning 53 punts and 27 kickoffs.

Titans Release Adoree Jackson, Dennis Kelly

The Tennessee Titans released former first-round cornerback Adoree Jackson and right tackle Dennis Kelly on Tuesday. Cornerback Malcolm Butler was also recently released. The 18th overall pick in 2017 out of Southern California, Jackson played in 46 games (41 starts) and recorded 200 tackles and two interceptions in his time with the Titans. His contract would have become fully guaranteed on March 17, so the Titans will save over $10 million in salary cap space with the move. Kelly's release will save the team around $5 million, with a little over $3 million in dead money. David Quessenberry and newly signed tackle Kendall Lamm are the most likely replacements for Kelly on the right side of the offensive line.
