Andy Jones Catches Two For 60 Yards

Detroit Lions wide receiver Andy Jones caught two passes for 60 yards with a long of 48 yards during this week's preseason matchup. Jones has been fighting for a roster spot and this solid performance will certainly help him. Jones falls deep on the Lions wide receiver depth chart meaning he will remain off the fantasy radar unless numerous injuries happen at the top of the depth chart.

Andy Jones Continues To Battle For Roster Spot

Detroit Lions wide receiver Andy Jones continues to impress the Lions organization with his incredible athletic ability. Jones, who has been fighting for a roster spot since being picked up by the Cowboys in 2017 after going undrafted, has recently received the praise of Matthew Stafford and the coaching staff for his continuous hard work and dedication to the team. It would not be unlikely to see Jones take the fourth spot on the Lions wide receiver depth chart if he is able to string together some successful snaps during pre-season. In addition, his special teams and blocking abilities only add to his resume. As for now, Jones is not fantasy relevant but has a fairly high long-term ceiling making him a viable dynasty target.

Andy Jones Showing Consistency In Practice

Detroit Lions wide receiver Andy Jones, who is on the bubble this summer, has shown the most consistency in practices. He's a good blocker and was on the receiving end of a lot of Matthew Stafford targets on Thursday. Jones can also play gunner in punt coverage on special teams, which could give him a leg up as the fourth receiver on the roster behind Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones and Danny Amendola this year. Jones had 11 catches for 80 yards and a touchdown in his eight games last season for Detroit. Unless an injury occurs ahead of him, he's just a name to keep in mind this summer.

Andy Jones Finds The End Zone In Week 15

Detroit Lions wide receiver Andy Jones caught two passes for just nine yards but he scored his first career touchdown in the loss to Buffalo on Sunday. It's nice to see Matthew Stafford connecting with other receivers than Kenny Golladay but Jones isn't a game changer the Lions are looking for. It's impossible to trust in a similar outcome next week when the Lions host the Vikings, especially if Ellington returns to action. Stay away from any Lions pass catcher not named Golladay right now.

Andy Jones Could See Increased Usage Against Bills

Detroit Lions wide receiver Andy Jones caught his second pass of the season last week for just five yards. This week, it is not looking like Bruce Ellington will be able to suit up against the Bills, so Jones has a chance to be more involved in a struggling Lions offense. Even with more chances, he is not someone you go chasing after to get on your team, and more-so in your lineup.
