Center Bradley Bozeman Back With Chargers On Two-Year Deal
The Los Angeles Chargers are re-signing free-agent center Bradley Bozeman to a two-year deal worth up to $12 million, according to NFL insider Ari Meirov. The former Ravens first-round pick out of Alabama in 2018 has played in 113 games with 94 career starts between his time with the Ravens, Panthers, and Chargers. He logged 17 starts at center last year for L.A. and is back with the team for the 2025 campaign. The 30-year-old will be tasked with protecting franchise quarterback Justin Herbert and paving running lanes for new Chargers ball carrier Najee Harris.
Bradley Bozeman Inking One-Year Deal With Chargers
Veteran free-agent center Bradley Bozeman is signing a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The former National Champion at Alabama was a sixth-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2018 and has 96 games (77 starts) of NFL experience under his belt with Baltimore and the Carolina Panthers. All-Pro center Corey Linsley was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list with a non-emergent heart-related issue last September and is likely to retire, meaning Bozeman has a path to the starting job in 2024. However, he struggled mightily to protect Bryce Young last season in Carolina, so L.A. might look to find a different starter at center in next month's NFL Draft.
The Carolina Panthers are releasing veteran center Bradley Bozeman ahead of free agency. The former two-time National Champion at Alabama spent four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens before signing a deal to join the Panthers in 2022. He has struggled in pass protection, and the Panthers are looking to improve its offensive line after rookie Bryce Young was sacked 62 times (second-most). The Panthers save $4.36 million by making this move.
The Carolina Panthers have signed center Bradley Bozeman to a new contract. The 28-year-old gets a three-year deal worth $18 million. He was one of the best pass blocking centers, so he's well deserving of this extension. Bozeman spent the first four seasons of his career with the Baltimore Ravens before playing well on a prove-it deal with the Panthers in 2022. He'll be a big part of the Panthers offensive line going forward.
ESPN's Field Yates expects the Carolina Panthers to re-sign impending free-agent center Bradley Bozeman this offseason. Bozeman earned just $2.8 million in 2022, which turned out to be a bargain for the Panthers. He has been dependable and should be able to get $10 million or more per year on the open market. Bozeman's 95.5 percent pass-block win rate ranked in the top 10 among centers in the league last year. With Carolina looking for their next franchise signal-caller under new head coach Frank Reich this offseason, it seems wise for them to bring back Bozeman for another season. The 28-year-old former sixth-round pick has played no fewer than 14 games in his five NFL seasons to this point.
The Carolina Panthers agreed to an undisclosed one-year deal with former Baltimore Ravens center Bradley Bozeman on Friday. Bozeman will be replacing Matt Paradis in Carolina after spending the first four seasons of his career with the Ravens. The Panthers have made the offensive line a priority this offseason, also adding right guard Austin Corbett earlier this week. Bozeman was one of the highest graded centers in the NFL last year and should immediately upgrade the Panthers at the position. The 27-year-old was initially a sixth-round selection in 2018 out of Alabama. He has started 49 of the 62 games he's played in for Baltimore.
Bengals Expected To Be Interested In Bradley Bozeman
Baltimore Ravens impending free-agent center Bradley Bozeman is one of the top free-agent offensive linemen this offseason and is expected to draw interest from multiple teams should he hit the open market, including the Cincinnati Bengals, according to league sources. The Bengals top priority this offseason is upgrading a porous offensive line in front of young superstar quarterback Joe Burrow. If the Bengals hope to make another Super Bowl run in 2022, they'll need to protect their young signal-caller much better, and Bozeman would certainly help. The 27-year-old former sixth-round pick in 2018 has played 16 regular season games in three of his four seasons with Baltimore.
