Bryce Treggs Expected to Be Sidelined Several Weeks
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Bryce Treggs (hamstring) is expected to be sidelined for several weeks. He suffered a hamstring injury in Thursday's preseason game and will require a few weeks to recover. While Treggs wasn't expected to play a huge role or perhaps to even make the team, injuries to other wide receivers had opened up the depth chart significantly. This hamstring injury puts Treggs' spot on the final roster in serious doubt, however, regardless of the rest of the injuries to the Eagles receiving corps.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Bryce Treggs (hamstring) wasinjured in the preseason game against the Patriots on Thursday.Treggs hurt his left hamstring on a deep attempt down the left sideline. He had two catches for 23 yards before departing on four targets. Treggs also missed the first week of training camp with a knee injury, so his chances of making the final roster aren't great, especially if his hamstring injury is significant. You can avoid him in fantasy drafts.
The Cleveland Browns have signed wide receiver Bryce Treggs off of the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad. Treggs will instantly bolster a thin Cleveland receiving corps, although his immediate role with the team is unknown. Treggs is a second-year receiver with 4.39 speed who appeared in nine games with the Eagles in 2016, catching three passes for 80 yards. With Kenny Britt popping up on the injury report with a knee and a groin issue, Treggs could be a part of the game plan as soon as this week. To make room for Treggs, the Browns waived injured receiver Jordan Leslie in a corresponding move.
The Philadelphia Eagles cut wide receiver Bryce Treggs as part of their final cuts. Treggs flashed a bit in the preseason and looked good in small bursts at the end of last season, but with the Eagles bringing in outside help at wide receiver this offseason, there simply wasn't room for the former Cal Bear. He may be headed for the Eagles practice squad.
Bryce Treggs Leads the Eagles in Receiving on Thursday
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Bryce Treggs led the Eagles in catches and yards in an impressive first preseason game on Thursday. Treggs caught seven passes for 91 scoreless yards. Picked up as an undrafted free agent last season, Treggs finished his rookie season with three catches for 80 yards. He's buried in the depth chart, but has some nice measureables. He's a name to remember in dynasty leagues, but not yet someone worth picking up.
