The New York Jets signed free-agent tight end Bucky Hodges to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday. It comes a day after the club claimed tight end Clive Walford off waivers. The team also has Eric Tomlinson, Jordan Leggett and Neal Sterling at the position. Hodges was a sixth-round pick by the Vikings last year but didn't play at all in his rookie season and won't have any fantasy value heading into the 2018 season.
Minnesota Vikings sixth-round pick Bucky Hodges has been waived/injured after making the 53-man roster in Minnesota. The Vikings claimed former 49ers tight end Blake Bell off waivers, moving Hodges to clear a roster position. Hodges is expected to land on the injured reserve for Minnesota if he goes unclaimed by the 31 other teams. Pat Shumur's offense found great success with tight end Kyle Rudolph last season, making Bell a potential player if Rudolph goes down to injury.
