Jets
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (neck) and left tackle Tyron Smith (neck) have both been ruled out for the Week 11 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Jets will re-evaluate Mosley after the Week 12 bye, and the team is still gathering more information on Smith's injury, according to interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich. Meanwhile, safety Chuck Clark (ankle) is being activated from Injured Reserve. Mosley is missing his fourth straight game but hopefully will have a shot to return when the team returns from their bye to take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13. With the 32-year-old out again, it will mean more opportunities for both linebackers Quincy Williams and Jamien Sherwood. The 33-year-old Smith suffered a neck injury in the Week 10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals and may not be ready coming out of next week's bye.

C.J. Mosley Not Suiting Up In Week 10
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (neck) has been ruled inactive for Week 10's outing against the Arizona Cardinals. Mosley has been working through a neck ailment that's kept him out of the lineup since New York fell 37-15 to the Pittsburgh Steelers back in Week 7. It's of little surprise that he'll miss another game after stringing together three DNPs leading up to this Sunday. With fellow linebacker Chazz Surratt (heel) deemed questionable for the contest after a week of limited sessions, teammate Sam Eguavoen figures to handle most of the duties for the team. He recorded three tackles on 20 snaps in last weekend's win over the Houston Texans.

C.J. Mosley Returning On Monday Night
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (toe) is active for the Monday night clash against the division-rival Buffalo Bills to close out Week 6 action. A toe injury has sidelined Mosley for the last three games, but he'll rejoin New York's defense as they look to end their losing streak and slow down the Bills at home. The 32-year-old's return will be a nice boost to an already strong defense against a Buffalo offense that will be without star running back James Cook (toe). Mosley, a former first-round selection, will re-enter the starting lineup for the Jets at middle linebacker, although he may be eased back into the picture after missing three games. The five-time Pro Bowler had 12 tackles (10 solo) in two games this year before getting hurt. In IDP fantasy formats, Mosley will be back in play for a Week 7 matchup on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

C.J. Mosley Inactive For Week 4
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (toe) is officially inactive for Week 4 versus the Denver Broncos. He had been listed as doubtful, so his absence Sunday is not much of a surprise. The 32-year-old will miss his second consecutive contest. Through the first two weeks of the year, he registered 12 tackles. Jamien Sherwood and Quincy Williams will be tasked with anchoring the Jets' linebacking core against Denver on Sunday.

C.J. Mosley Likely To Return By Week 4
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (toe) had to sit out of the Week 3 win as he continues to deal with a toe injury that needed added rest. The star middle linebacker did play in their first two games and accrued a total of 12 combined tackles (10 solo) with no sacks or QB hits yet. Head coach Robert Saleh told reporters after the game that he's confident Mosley will return for their Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos, so it looks like this one-game absence is all the time he'll need to miss. Mosley has been the team's leading tackler with 150 or more combined tackles in each of the last three seasons to go along with 3.5 sacks and 12 tackles for loss.

C.J. Mosley Inactive For Jets On Thursday Night
The New York Jets ruled linebacker C.J. Mosley (toe) out for the Thursday night divisional showdown to kick off Week 3 against the New England Patriots. Mosley came into Thursday's contest with a questionable tag after not practicing on Wednesday, but he will sit this one out and try to get healthy for a Week 4 tilt against the Denver Broncos. The 32-year-old suffered a sprained right big toe in the Week 2 win over the Tennessee Titans. His absence on Thursday will mean that linebacker Jamien Sherwood will likely step into a starting role in the middle of New York's defense. It's a downgrade for the Jets' defense to be sure, but against a Patriots offense that isn't scaring anyone, their defense/special teams unit should still be considered a must-start in Week 3. The Patriots have averaged only 18.0 points per game through the first two weeks.

C.J. Mosley Likely A Game-Time Decision For Thursday
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (toe) was carted off the field during the Week 2 win over the Tennessee Titans with a toe injury. However, head coach Robert Saleh said Mosley is progressing well, and it sounds like he will be a game-time decision for the Thursday Night Football matchup with the New England Patriots. The 2014 first-round pick has totaled at least 152 tackles in the last three seasons with New York, and he is one of the leaders of the defense that was elite in 2023. The Jets defense appears to have a great matchup against New England, and its fantasy outlook is brighter if Mosley can suit up on Thursday.

C.J. Mosley Carted To The Locker Room
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (foot) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Titans. The veteran suffered a foot injury. But his day is likely over, considering he was transported to the locker room on a cart. He finished last season by totaling 151 tackles, one of the highest marks of his career. Unfortunately, the situation doesn't look promising regarding Mosley's availability moving ahead. Nonetheless, IDP managers will likely get an update soon.

C.J. Mosley Leads Jets in Tackling
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley made six solo tackles and five assists in the Jets' 27-6 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9. It was Mosley's second straight game with over 10 tackles and his fifth double-digit tackle game of the season. Over his nine-year career, Mosley has consistently been one of the leading tacklers, but his lack of impact plays limit his upside. Going into a Week 10 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, Mosley is the LB15 in RotoBaller IDP scoring and the LB14 in the FantasyPros format. He's a strong start against almost any team, and that won't change this week.

C.J. Mosley Looks Slimmer And Quicker
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley, who opted out in 2020 due to COVID-19 and played in just two games due to injuries in 2019, could have a bounce-back year in 2021. Mosley looked slimmer and quicker during offseason practices, which should help him transition to the team's 4-3 defensive scheme. He was one of the league's best off-ball linebackers before his injuries in his first year with the Jets, but he'll need to prove that the rust is shaken off this summer in training camp. The Jets defense should take a huge step forward if Mosley returns to his pre-injury form, and savvy fantasy managers in IDP leagues will take advantage of his low cost.
