Caden Sterns Expected To Miss Rest Of The Season

Denver Broncos safety Caden Sterns (knee) is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn patellar tendon in the Week 1 loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, according to a source. Sterns had been primed for increased playing time this year before the injury, so it's a significant setback for the Broncos secondary early in 2023. The former fifth-round pick in 2021 out of Texas had 36 solo tackles, two sacks, four interceptions and nine passes defensed in 20 games (five starts) in his first two NFL seasons in Denver. With Sterns now out for the rest of the year, Delarrin Turner-Yell and JL Skinner should see more playing time for the Broncos defense.
