The Minnesota Vikings placed rookie cornerback Cameron Dantzler on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday. The Vikings have not disclosed whether Dantzler tested positive himself or has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person(s). Dantzler is probably a long shot to play in Week 8 against the division-rival Packers, and the rookie's absence would make it even tougher for Minnesota to slow down Aaron Rodgers and company in the passing game. Regardless of whether Dantzler is cleared this weekend, fantasy managers should be looking to avoid the Vikings Defense at all costs.

The Minnesota Vikings have selected Mississippi State cornerback Cameron Dantzler with the No. 89 pick in the third round. Minnesota was looking to add depth at corner after the loss of Xavier Rhodes this offseason. Dantzler might not start right away in 2020, but he has solid upside. He has natural ball skills but didn't perform great during the NFL combine. Dantzler finished with 40 tackles, two tackles for loss and two interceptions through nine games in 2019. The Vikings have been smart to add at defensive back early, and it should pay off in 2020.
