Nico Collins  • WR  •  Texans

Nico Collins is More Hold Than Buy at WR1 Price

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins is not the easiest dynasty player to buy right now, but that does not make him someone to dump at a discount. Collins has cleared 1,000 yards in three straight seasons, including 71 catches for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns across 15 games last year. He is still only 27, still tied to C.J. Stroud, and Houston just bumped up his pay for 2026 and 2027 while keeping him under contract through next season. The price is the tricky part. RotoBaller has Collins as the WR8 in 2026 redraft rankings and WR13 in its July dynasty wide receiver rankings, so managers are already paying for a stable WR1. Tank Dell, Jayden Higgins, Jaylin Noel, and Dalton Schultz also give Stroud more places to go with the ball. Collins probably is not a screaming dynasty buy unless the price has softened, but he remains a strong hold and a reasonable contender target if his manager is worried about the deeper target tree.

Woody Marks  • RB  •  Texans

Woody Marks Expected to Get "Lots of Opportunities"

Despite the offseason acquisition of running back David Montgomery, the Houston Texans still plan on giving second-year RB Woody Marks "lots of opportunities" in 2026, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Sports. Marks emerged as Houston's lead back in his first year in the NFL, with Joe Mixon (ankle, foot) missing all year and Nick Chubb fading. He led the team with 703 rushing yards and two touchdowns and caught 24 passes for 208 yards and three more TDs. The 25-year-old former fourth-rounder out of USC is now adapting to what will be a complementary role alongside Montgomery, but the Texans still envision a solid workload for him in Year 2 that includes third-down pass-catching duties and carries, along with a new role on kickoff returns. While Marks may not be Houston's "lead back" now that Monty is in town, he can still be useful for their offense and as an RB4/flex target for fantasy managers in PPR leagues. In dynasty/keeper leagues, Marks is a prime buy-low target after the Texans traded for Montgomery.

Joe Mixon  • RB  •  Texans

Joe Mixon Remains Unsigned as Training Camps Approach

Veteran running back Joe Mixon (foot) last saw the field in a 2024 Divisional Round loss in which he registered exactly 100 yards on 20 touches and added a touchdown to conclude what had been a successful first season with the Houston Texans. While nobody knew it at the time, that very well could have been his last professional game. Mixon's entire 2025 season was lost to a mysterious foot and ankle injury sustained early in the offseason and barely clarified at any point thereafter. He was released before the start of the 2026 league year with a non-football injury designation, and although he has expressed interest in continuing his career, the soon-to-be-30-year-old back remains unsigned. A training camp or in-season injury could certainly send Mixon's name back into the rumor mill, but he is not a player who should factor into 2026 draft plans, and at RotoBaller's dynasty RB73, he is no longer a player who needs to be rostered.

Jaylin Noel  • WR  •  Texans

Jaylin Noel Profiles as a Sneaky Redraft Sleeper Entering 2026

A third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Houston Texans wide receiver Jaylin Noel finished his rookie season with 26 catches for 292 yards and two touchdowns on 35 targets across 17 games (three starts). The 23-year-old was largely blocked from playing time in the slot by veteran wideout Christian Kirk. However, Kirk departed Houston in free agency this past spring, which could put Noel in a position to be the Texans' primary slot receiver alongside outside wideouts Nico Collins and Jayden Higgins. Houston also has wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) making his way back from the knee injury that cost him all of 2025, but Dell's outlook remains clouded by health concerns. Noel also drew strong reviews for his play during Texans spring workouts and could be in line for a significantly increased role in the Houston passing game. As the WR84 by current redraft ADP, Noel carries significant sleeper appeal heading into 2026.

Tank Dell  • WR  •  Texans

Should Dynasty Managers Be Looking to Buy Low on Tank Dell?

Thanks to a gruesome knee injury that ended his 2024 campaign in Week 16, Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) missed the entire 2025 season. Dell has yet to be fully cleared from the injury, but he's expected to contribute to the Texans at some point in 2026. The 26-year-old has been a productive player when healthy for Houston, averaging 67 catches for 936 yards and seven touchdowns on 106 targets per 17 games played. Still, he may now be facing an uphill battle for targets even once healthy, as Houston has a pair of promising young wideouts in Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel to go with superstar WR1 Nico Collins. Dell's stock in both redraft and dynasty leagues has obviously fallen considerably from his peak value. Still, it's difficult to buy into Dell at any real cost until he proves he can make it back to full health.

Stefon Diggs  • WR  •  Texans

Is Stefon Diggs Worth a Flier at the End of 2026 Drafts?

One season after tearing his ACL while playing for the Houston Texans, 11th-year wide receiver Stefon Diggs was the top receiving option for a 2025 New England Patriots team that reached the Super Bowl. While the Patriots opted to move on from Diggs while aggressively rebuilding their receiver room around MVP runner-up Drake Maye, the four-time Pro Bowler is still more than capable of providing a veteran presence to a number of teams and could find a fantasy-relevant role in a handful of receiver rooms as currently constructed. In a rotational role in his lone season in New England, Diggs topped 1,000 yards on 85 receptions, finishing as the WR18 while rarely seeing higher than a 60% snap share. Still a savvy route-runner with some of the best hands in the league, Diggs converted 60% of his receptions into first downs and could continue to see high-value opportunities in a part-time role. Even without a team at the moment, at RotoBaller's WR62, the free agent receiver is a clever stash in the final rounds of 2026 drafts.

David Montgomery  • RB  •  Texans

David Montgomery a Running Back to Target in Zero-RB Builds

For the first time since 2023, Houston Texans running back David Montgomery projects to lead his team in carries. While he's now three years older than the player who finished that season as the RB13, and he no longer has the benefit of Ben Johnson drawing up plays for him, he still boasts tremendous upside for a player routinely slipping outside the first four rounds of 2026 drafts. While his usage has dipped in recent seasons, his efficiency has not. In his three seasons sharing a backfield with Jahmyr Gibbs, who is now comfortably in the conversation of the best backs in the game, Montgomery averaged .87 fantasy points per touch. In Houston, with one of the league's premier defenses allowing for a baseline of neutral or positive game scripts, the eighth-year veteran could see enormous volume. 2025 fourth-round pick Woody Marks was inefficient as a rookie after being thrust into lead back duty and figures to settle into a more natural pass-catching role, leaving the former Lion with the lion's share of the carries. At RotoBaller's RB21, Montgomery profiles as one of this year's safest RB2s but also has the upside to anchor a receiver-heavy build in a zero-RB strategy.

Texans Hoping to Build Punishing Running Game With David Montgomery

The Houston Texans traded for former Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery in the offseason and signed him to a two-year, $16.5 million extension. KPRC 2 Sports' Aaron Wilson writes that the arrival of Montgomery in Houston "should allow the Texans to build a punishing run game and become a better red-zone and play-action offense." "He's all-day tough," offensive coordinator Nick Caley said of Montgomery. "His body of work will speak for itself. Runs behind his pads, stays grounded. Arm tackles aren't getting it done. He's going to try to run through you every single chance. He can set guys up. He understands how to set blocks and to deliver and help deliver defenders to the blocker." The lack of a consistent ground game was one of the big reasons the Texans offense sputtered in 2025. Gone are Joe Mixon (foot) and veteran Nick Chubb. Monty will provide a bruising complement to the more shifty Woody Marks, who should work in more of a pass-catching role in Year 2. After being the clear lead back to Jahmyr Gibbs last year in Detroit, Montgomery should be Houston's RB1 in 2026, giving him clear RB2 upside again in fantasy football.

C.J. Stroud  • QB  •  Texans

C.J. Stroud Taking a Leap This Offseason?

Houston Texans offensive coordinator Nick Caley said that he has seen quarterback C.J. Stroud "take a leap this offseason," according to Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle. Caley sees a different comfort level from Stroud and said the communication between him and new quarterbacks coach Jerry Schuplinski "has been good." "There was a lot of progress that C.J. and the offense made last year," Caley said. "We continued to get better from the start of the season to the end of the regular season and just continued to make progress from week to week. So we're going to continue to build on that. It's a new year. C.J. has done a great job out here. Looks good. Locked in." The 24-year-old took the league by storm after he was the second overall pick in 2023 out of Ohio State, throwing for 4,108 yards, 23 touchdowns, and only five interceptions in 15 regular-season starts. He hasn't been nearly as good the last two years, and he threw for a career-low 3,041 yards, 19 touchdowns, and eight picks in 14 regular-season starts in 2025. Stroud has clear bounce-back potential and is still in the prime of his career, making him a low-end QB2 target in superflex leagues with sleeper potential in 2026.

Jayden Higgins  • WR  •  Texans

Hype Continues to Grow for Jayden Higgins Heading into Year 2

Sports Illustrated's Jared Koch writes that the buzz surrounding Houston Texans second-year wide receiver Jayden Higgins has only grown since the team wrapped up their organized team activities and minicamp earlier this month. There have been plenty of signs that the 23-year-old is gearing up for an increased role in the offense in 2026, and he has looked strong during offseason workouts. "Higgins certainly has looked that part in the spring. His frame is nearly identical to Nico Collins', and while Collins is the physically stronger player, Higgins is a smoother, looser athlete than the Texans' incumbent No. 1--one staffer illustrated it as having a power forward (Collins) and small forward (Higgins) at the position. And having those two guys at around 6'4" on the outside certainly stands to present defenses with a host of problems," Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer wrote. From Weeks 9-18 last year, Higgins averaged over five targets and 40 yards a game, scoring four touchdowns over that span. He had a much bigger role later last year and finished with 41 catches, 525 yards, and six TDs in 17 games (10 starts). Higgins is absolutely worth a late-round pick as a young WR with breakout potential as he heads into his second season in the NFL.

Lewis Bond  • WR  •  Texans

Rookie Receiver Lewis Bond has Turned Heads in the Offseason

Houston Texans rookie sixth-round wide receiver Lewis Bond has made plays and has turned heads through the offseason, to the point where he already has an online team fanbase called the Lewis Bond Fan Club, according to DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN. The Boston College standout still has a ways to go heading into training camp, but he's a young receiver to watch going into his first year in the NFL. In his five years at Boston College, the 5-foot-10, 190-pounder had 2,385 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns on 213 receptions across 46 games played. Even though he has stood out this offseason, Bond has a steep uphill battle to climb to make the 53-man roster going into Week 1 of the regular season, given Houston's crowded WR room. Nico Collins is the unquestioned WR1 of the group, but both second-year wideouts Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel figure to have bigger roles in Year 2. The Texans are also still hoping that Tank Dell (knee) can return from a devastating knee injury that kept him out for all of 2025. Bond will be battling Xavier Hutchinson and Justin Watson for a roster spot in training camp and the preseason.

Jayden Higgins  • WR  •  Texans

Jayden Higgins Still a Dynasty Buy Before the Hype Grows Louder

A second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins saw his usage steadily ramp up over the back half of his rookie season, and after standing out in a non-contact minicamp setting, big things are expected of him in Year 2. Higgins has reportedly impressed teammates and coaches alike with added muscle and increased play speed, and he could become a fixture on the outside opposite two-time Pro Bowler Nico Collins. In seven of his final 11 games of 2025, Higgins either caught at least five passes, racked up 50-plus yards, or scored a touchdown, topping 9.0 half-PPR fantasy points in six of those outings. After middle-of-the-pack finishes across most offensive categories, meaningful improvements are expected of a Texans unit that added running back David Montgomery and should see further development from not only Higgins but fellow 2025 Day 2 pick Jaylin Noel. At RotoBaller's dynasty WR44, Higgins is a relatively low-cost trade target who could see his price rise precipitously should the drum beat continue to grow louder when the team reconvenes for training camp.

Woody Marks  • RB  •  Texans

Woody Marks a Top Buy-Low Candidate for Dynasty Rebuilders

Across 16 games (eight starts) as a rookie in 2025, Houston Texans running back Woody Marks recorded 911 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns on 220 touches. The 25-year-old began the year behind former Houston veteran back Nick Chubb, but Marks emerged as the team's RB1 over the second half of the season. Entering 2026, Marks looks to have fallen back into RB2 duties following the Texans' offseason trade acquisition of former Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery. However, Marks could still play a key role in the Houston offense as a pass-catcher. Marks recorded 208 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns in 2025, while Montgomery averaged just over two targets per game across his final three seasons with the Lions. Montgomery is also entering his age-29 season in 2026, so Marks could still profile as the running back of the future in Houston. In dynasty formats, managers could have a prime buy-low window on Marks following the Texans' addition of Montgomery.

Dalton Schultz  • TE  •  Texans

Should Dynasty Managers Look to Sell High on Dalton Schultz?

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz put together a very solid season in 2025, recording 82 catches for 777 yards and three touchdowns on 106 targets across 17 games. However, there are reasons to doubt that Schultz will match his production in 2026 and beyond. For one, Schultz is highly reliant on target volume for production, as he's averaged just seven yards per target for his career. Additionally, the Texans selected tight end Marlin Klein in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, signed veteran tight end Foster Moreau in free agency, and should get a healthier season out of tight end Cade Stover, who missed eight games with a foot injury in 2025. Houston also has a pair of up-and-coming young wide receivers in Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel. All in all, Schultz's role in Houston's passing game is likely to shrink as he enters his age-30 season. Dynasty managers should be looking to sell high on Schultz ahead of 2026.

Nico Collins  • WR  •  Texans

Is Nico Collins the Most Underrated Dynasty WR1?

Since a third-year breakout in 2023, Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins has topped 1,000 receiving yards and six touchdowns in each of the past three seasons while twice finishing as a top-five-graded receiver by PFF, and only dropping as low as No. 8 in 2025. As the unquestioned focal point of opposing defenses, Collins has finished as the WR9 in each of his last two full seasons, and with reinforcements coming to the Texans' offense in 2026, his game could take yet another step up. After finishing with one of the least efficient running games in the league, Houston traded for David Montgomery, and with further development expected from second-year wideouts Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, and the potential return of Tank Dell from a devastating 2024 knee injury, Collins could face significantly lower rates of double teams moving forward. At RotoBaller's dynasty WR10, the 27-year-old still has several years of prime play left after a slow start to his NFL career.

C.J. Stroud  • QB  •  Texans

Is C.J. Stroud Currently Undervalued by Dynasty Managers?

Since bursting onto the fantasy scene as a rookie in 2023, Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud has struggled to live up to the hype. Across 14 games in 2025, the 24-year-old completed 64.5% of his pass attempts for 3,041 yards, 19 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Stroud's fantasy upside is capped by his lack of rushing ability, as he's averaged 200 rushing yards per season in his NFL career and has four career rushing touchdowns. However, there may be reason to believe that 2026 can be his most efficient year as a passer since his rookie season. Houston made some key additions to its offensive line in the offseason, signing tackle Braden Smith and left guard Wyatt Teller in free agency and then using a first-round pick in the 2026 Draft on center Keylan Rutledge. The Texans should also get healthier seasons out of wide receivers Nico Collins and Tank Dell (knee) and have a pair of exciting young wideouts in Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel. Stroud may never emerge as a fantasy superstar, but he still offers dynasty managers some upside while providing a solid QB2 floor.

Jaylin Noel  • WR  •  Texans

Jaylin Noel Stands Out at Minicamp, Top Slot Option in Houston?

Houston Texans wide receiver Jaylin Noel stood out as a winner at the team's veteran minicamp, according to Jared Koch of Sports Illustrated. Per Koch, Noel "stood out as the clear top option in the slot for Houston's air attack." A third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Noel recorded 26 receptions for 292 yards and two touchdowns on 35 targets across 17 games as a rookie. The 23-year-old spent most of 2025 in a reserve role behind veteran wideout Christian Kirk, but Kirk has since departed Houston for the San Francisco 49ers. The return of Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) from the knee injury that cost him the entire 2025 season could create a new barrier to playing time for Noel. However, it appears that Noel is a key piece of Houston's game plan on offense heading into training camp. His stock in both dynasty and redraft formats could continue to rise throughout the summer with a strong performance in training camp.

Tank Dell  • WR  •  Texans

Tank Dell's Outlook "Becoming More Positive"

The Houston Texans are still easing wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) in during offseason workouts, but KPRC2 Sports' Aaron Wilson says that Dell's outlook is "becoming more positive," and he plans to increase his practice activity at training camp this summer. Dell has been running and cutting without any setbacks, although he isn't as dynamic as he was before he dislocated his knee and tore his ACL, MCL, and LCL two years ago. There is still a long way to go for the former University of Houston star, but he has already made significant progress. "Looking for him to be Tank," WRs coach and passing-game coordinator Ben McDaniels said. "He's been working really hard to get back to what he knows he is and can be. It's been a long process, and he's still at it." The 26-year-old broke his leg in his rookie season and was also shot in the leg that same offseason, so he has endured no shortage of adversity. The Texans are taking a patient, big-picture approach with the speedster, but they do plan on him being an asset in 2026. At least early on, Dell will probably be facing an uphill battle for consistent targets in a WR corps that already features WR1 Nico Collins and emerging second-year wideouts Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel.

David Montgomery  • RB  •  Texans

David Montgomery to be Three-Down Back for Texans?

The Houston Texans acquired veteran running back David Montgomery from the Detroit Lions in an offseason trade, and he's set to be the lead RB this year in Houston. The Texans ran the ball 387 times a year ago, but they just weren't very effective after not having Joe Mixon (foot) for the entire season. Monty has already been receiving "rave reviews" from offensive coordinator Nick Caley, and the Texans think that Montgomery could be a "potential three-down back" in 2026 as they look to create more physicality in their running game, according to Cameron Wolfe of the NFL Network. Woody Marks took over lead-back duties for the team a year ago in his rookie season out of necessity, and he's not guaranteed to have a big role in his second season as long as Montgomery stays healthy. A lot depends on the progress of Houston's offensive line and quarterback C.J. Stroud's ability to bounce back after several disappointing seasons. If those two things align, Monty could emerge as a solid RB2 for fantasy managers after seeing his role decline in 2025 in his final year in Detroit.

Woody Marks Carries Buy-Low Appeal for Dynasty Managers Entering 2026

A fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Houston Texans running back Woody Marks finished his rookie year with 911 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns on 220 touches across 16 games (eight starts). After starting the season in a secondary role behind veteran back Nick Chubb, Marks gradually assumed the RB1 job over the course of the year. However, Marks looks to be back in an RB2 role in Houston entering 2026 after the team's offseason trade acquisition of former Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery. Montgomery is entering his age-29 season and failed to reach 1,000 scrimmage yards for the first time in his career in 2025, but his production decline can largely be attributed to the emergence of star running back Jahmyr Gibbs in Detroit. Still, while Marks may see a decline in goal-line and early-down work in 2026, he should still be Houston's primary pass-catching back. Given Montgomery's age, Marks could still profile as the future of the running back position in Houston as well. In dynasty formats, managers may want to consider buying low on Marks ahead of 2026.
