Nico Collins News
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (foot) has been placed on Injured Reserve, effectively ending his second season in the NFL. Collins finishes his sophomore campaign with 37 receptions, 481 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns. In the context of the lifeless Houston Texans offense, it wasn't a horrible season, but there's obviously plenty of room for growth. Houston will likely have a new shiny rookie quarterback in 2023, so Collins is worth stashing in deep dynasty leagues. It remains to be seen if Brandin Cooks will return next season or if he'll be traded. Rookie John Metchie III missed all of 2022 after being diagnosed with leukemia, but he will likely be a factor next season. For the rest of 2022, Brandin Cooks (if he returns), Chris Moore, Phillip Dorsett, and Amari Rodgers will be the Texans' top receivers.
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (foot) has been ruled out for the Week 16 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. This doesn't come as a surprise considering Collins hasn't played since Week 13. Honestly, it's surprising the Texans haven't placed the 23-year-old on the injured reserve. The Texans could be shorthanded this weekend with fellow wideout Brandin Cooks (calf) considered questionable to play. Chris Moore is looking like a viable streaming option with the Texans banged up at wide receiver.
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (foot) missed his second straight day of practice this week on Wednesday, while Brandin Cooks (calf) is practicing for the second straight day. Cooks was listed as limited on Tuesday's practice estimation. If Collins is unable to practice on Thursday, he'll likely miss his third straight game on Christmas Eve against the Tennessee Titans on Saturday. Meanwhile, it's looking like Cooks has a chance to end his three-game absence. Chris Moore had a 100-yard game in Week 14 with both Collins and Cooks sidelined and he led the team in receiving yet again in Week 15, but with just four catches for 42 yards. If Cooks returns this weekend, Moore will be hard to recommend as a flex option, even in deeper leagues.

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins is attempting to win the No. 2 wide receiver job behind Brandin Cooks this summer. A third-round pick (89th overall) in 2021, Collins didn't have any big games as a rookie but showed some flashes down the stretch commanding his own fair share of red zone targets and air yards with Texans Quarterback Davis Mills. The 23-year-old finished with a modest 33 receptions for 446 yards and one touchdown. He was held back by poor QB play at Michigan and skipped...
