Foster Moreau News
New Orleans Saints tight end Foster Moreau (ankle) logged a DNP at Wednesday's practice. The ex-Raider snagged his first two catches as a member of the Saints in the team's win over the Panthers on Monday Night Football. There's no word on the severity of the ankle issue Moreau is dealing with, but he'll get two more chances this week to return to the practice field. The Saints will travel to Green Bay for their Week 3 matchup on Sunday.
New Orleans Saints tight end Foster Moreau announced on his Twitter account on Monday that he's in full remission from Hodgkin's lymphoma. It's awesome news for Moreau, who followed quarterback Derek Carr from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Saints this offseason on a three-year deal after he was diagnosed with lymphoma. The lymphoma diagnosis barely slowed the 26-year-old down, as he was able to fully participate in organized team activities and minicamp this offseason. Moreau could be a nice fit in New Orleans' offense and already has plenty of chemistry with Carr from their time in Vegas. However, unless Juwan Johnson suffers an injury that causes him to miss time in 2023, Moreau will find it difficult to be a start-worth TE in most fantasy leagues.
New Orleans Saints tight end Foster Moreau had 12 touchdowns in four seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, but nobody knew when he'd be returning to football after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in the offseason. But he wasn't limited in organized team activities and minicamp and was a frequent target of quarterback Derek Carr throughout practices. Moreau worked with both the first and second team during OTAs and could compete with Juwan Johnson for snaps as the team's No. 1 or No. 2 tight end in 2023. The 26-year-old signed a three-year, $12.234 million deal with the Saints in the offseason and has plenty of chemistry with Carr from their time in Vegas. Moreau will probably only become start-worthy in fantasy lineups, though, if Johnson misses time with an injury.
