Jadeveon Clowney Signing Two-Year Deal With Panthers

Free-agent edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney is signing a two-year, $24 million contract with the Carolina Panthers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 2014 No. 1 overall pick spent last season with the Baltimore Ravens, and it was one of the best campaigns of his career. He tied a career-high with 9.5 sacks and did not miss a game for the first time since 2017. The 31-year-old still has plenty of ability, but his surroundings in Carolina won't be as strong as they were with the Ravens. The South Carolina native is now closer to home, and he'll look to help the struggling franchise accelerate its rebuild in 2024.

Jets "Highly Motivated" To Sign Jadeveon Clowney

The New York Jets and free-agent pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney have remained in constant contact after the two sides met, with one source describing the Jets as "highly motivated" to try and secure a deal with Clowney. In addition to the Jets, both the Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens remain interested in Clowney as well after his 9.5-sack season in Baltimore in 2023. The 31-year-old former first overall pick by the Houston Texans in 2014 out of South Carolina is in high demand on the free-agent market after producing one of his best seasons as a professional last year. In addition to his 9.5 sacks, he had 43 tackles (24 solo), nine tackles for loss, 19 QB hits, five passes defended, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 17 regular-season games (15 starts). It proved that Clowney still has it in him, but the three-time Pro Bowler's injury history isn't going away.

Jadeveon Clowney Visiting With Jets On Wednesday

Free-agent edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney is visiting with the New York Jets on Wednesday, according to Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team. The former No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023. He tied a career-high with nine sacks and was tied for fourth among all edge defenders in pass rush win rate (25%). Overall, Clowney has compiled 363 tackles, 52.5 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, one interception, and 76 run-stuffs in 126 games over ten seasons. The Jets already have one of the best defenses in the NFL, and the potential addition of Clowney would make it even more dangerous.

Jadeveon Clowney Plans To Visit With Jets

Free-agent pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney is scheduled to make a visit with the New York Jets after his visit with the Carolina Panthers. After what seemed like a slow beginning to the offseason is now heating up for the former first-round pick. The 31-year-old certainly did enough last season to earn himself a multi-year deal this offseason. Last season, Clowney finished with 43 tackles and 9.5 sacks in 17 games with the Baltimore Ravens. As expected, Clowney should have multiple suitors this offseason. On paper, Clowney would be better off signing with the more competitive roster in New York, but it all depends on what kind of deals these teams are willing to offer him.

Panthers To Visit With Jadeveon Clowney

The Carolina Panthers will host three-time Pro Bowler Jadeveon Clowney on a visit this week, according to sources. Clowney is drawing interest from a few teams, including the Baltimore Ravens, but he is exploring a return home first. The 31-year-old veteran pass-rusher is a native of Rock Hill, North Carolina, and played his college ball at South Carolina. The former first overall pick of the Houston Texans in 2014 made all three of his Pro Bowl squads with Houston from 2016-18. In Baltimore last year, Clowney played in all 17 regular-season games (15 starts) for the Ravens and had a career-high-tying 9.5 sacks, a career-high 43 tackles (24 solo), nine tackles for loss, 19 QB hits, five passes defended, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. If he's able to stay healthy for a full season again, which is unlikely given his injury history, Clowney has the ability to be useful in deep IDP fantasy leagues.

Jadeveon Clowney, Marlon Humphrey Will Play Against Titans

Baltimore Ravens pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney (illness) and cornerback Marlon Humphrey (foot) have both been removed from the final injury report in Week 6 and will suit up in London on Sunday to face the Tennessee Titans. It's good news for the Ravens defense against a Titans offense that finally hit their stride as far as their passing offense goes in their Week 4 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Clowney has 11 tackles (eight solo), 1.5 sacks and a pass defensed in his first five games for the Ravens this year. Humphrey missed the first four games of the 2023 campaign while recovering from foot surgery. He returned in last week's loss to Pittsburgh and was burnt by receiver George Pickens on a late go-ahead touchdown reception.

Jadeveon Clowney Signs With Ravens

Free-agent pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney has agreed on a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens. The 30-year-old has spent each of the last two seasons as a member of the Cleveland Browns. He managed only two sacks last season, but registered 11 sacks during the 2021 campaign. Clowney never lived up to the lofty expectations of being taken first overall during the 2014 draft. Despite that, Clowney has put together a productive career in the NFL. He's a capable pass rusher that should help soften the blow of Justin Houston's departure in Baltimore.

Jadeveon Clowney Visiting With Jaguars

Free-agent pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney is planning to visit with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 30-year-old has remained a free agent this being cut by the Cleveland Browns in March. Clowney spent two seasons in Cleveland and totaled 11 sacks in 26 games. The three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher could still be a valuable asset, but his best days are probably behind him. It's worth noting that Clowney also met with the Baltimore Ravens last week. It appears the former No. 1 overall pick is making his rounds to see which team is the best fit for him.

Ravens Host Jadeveon Clowney On A Visit

The Baltimore Ravens hosted veteran defensive end/outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney on a free-agent visit Tuesday. Clowney has remained un-signed all offseason, but he could be looking to land with a new team as training camps are set to wrap up. The former No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft has produced fewer than four sacks in three of his last four seasons and hasn't made an All-Pro team since 2018. That said, his best days are likely behind him and he'll be mostly used as a rotational pass-rusher if he ends up on a team for the 2023 season.

Jadeveon Clowney Interested In Reunion With Texans

Free-agent defensive end Jadeveon Clowney expressed interest in a reunion with the Houston Texans, the team he spent his first five seasons playing for. "All my family is here. Friends here. The guys I work out with can help me take care of my body a lot better being right up under them. I'll show you [I can still produce]," he said in an interview with Fox 26 Houston. Clowney had 24.5 sacks from 2016 to 2018 and made three straight Pro Bowls before signing with the Seattle Seahawks in 2019. His production with Seattle and one injury-limited season in Tennessee was not on par with his past success, but he had one good season with the Cleveland Browns. In 2021, Clowney had 9.0 sacks, 19 QB hits, and a total of 37 combined tackles. But in 2022, Clowney only had 2.0 sacks and complained publicly about being underutilized.
