Ryan Flournoy  • WR  •  Cowboys

Is Ryan Flournoy a Dynasty Stash Candidate Due to Long-Term Upside in Dallas?

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Flournoy emerged as a steady complementary contributor in his second NFL season in 2025, finishing the year with 40 receptions for 475 yards and four touchdowns on 56 targets across 16 games. The 26-year-old took advantage of an early-season injury to star Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, recording 11 catches for 158 yards across the three games Lamb missed. With Lamb and George Pickens atop the wide receiver depth chart in Dallas, Flournoy looks to be stuck as his team's WR3 entering 2026. As long as both Lamb and Pickens are healthy, Flournoy's fantasy production ceiling is limited. However, Pickens is currently signed to the franchise tag and remains without a long-term extension in place in Dallas, putting his future with the team in question. Should the Cowboys decide to move on from Pickens either during or after the 2026 season, Flournoy would be in line for a significant role increase. In dynasty formats, Flournoy might be worth stashing for his long-term upside.

Jake Ferguson  • TE  •  Cowboys

Jake Ferguson a Lower-Cost TE1 in Dynasty Leagues

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has quietly gone about his business since coming into the league as a fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He's finished as the TE8 in two of the last three seasons, and following career-highs of eight touchdowns and 82 receptions in 2025, he could still be trending up. Should either CeeDee Lamb or George Pickens miss time, Ferguson is capable of stepping up as a top-two option in one of the league's premier offenses and delivering week-winning performances, evidenced by his TE1 stretch through the first seven weeks of the season, as Lamb missed parts of four games with a high ankle sprain. Dynasty managers who have held onto the 27-year-old tight end to this point are likely aware of his value and potential, so he's not an easy player to acquire through trade, but at RotoBaller's TE13, Ferguson is a smart selection in dynasty startups, as a proven TE1 for managers unwilling to pay up at the position.

Dak Prescott  • QB  •  Cowboys

Dak Prescott Remains a Dynasty QB1 Heading into 2026

After a hamstring injury limited him to just eight games in 2024, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott bounced back in a big way in 2025. Across 17 games, Prescott completed 67.3% of his pass attempts for 4,552 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. The veteran signal-caller led the NFL in completions (404) and finished as the overall fantasy QB6. Heading into 2026, Dallas maintains one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, with tight end Jake Ferguson and wideout Ryan Flournoy rounding out a deep group of pass-catchers. The Cowboys also have continuity along an offensive line that showed major improvement from 2024 to 2025. With plenty of question marks on the defensive side of the ball, Dallas will likely need Prescott and the offense to keep the pedal to the metal once again in 2026. In dynasty formats, Prescott remains a viable fantasy QB1 as he enters his age-33 season.

CeeDee Lamb  • WR  •  Cowboys

Is CeeDee Lamb Being Undervalued?

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb finished 2023 with one of the highest-scoring fantasy seasons of all time, rightfully peaking as the WR1 in consensus dynasty rankings. Since then, injuries to both himself and his quarterback have seen him fall to RotoBaller's WR7. After Dak Prescott missed nine games in 2024 with a serious hamstring injury, Lamb missed three starts of his own in 2025 while dealing with a high ankle sprain, but the biggest factor in Lamb's declining value is undoubtedly the breakout of George Pickens, who promptly finished as the WR5 on the strength of 1,429 receiving yards and nine touchdowns after Dallas sent third and fifth-round picks to acquire him from the Steelers. The recent pageantry around Pickens' signing of his franchise tag suggests there may be some uncertainty about his future with the Cowboys, but even if the sides can eventually work out a long-term deal, Lamb will continue to be the first option in Dallas. In games where both players took at least 50 offensive snaps in 2025, Lamb out-earned Pickens by 2.6 targets per contest. At 27 years old, and having topped 1,000 yards from scrimmage in each of his first six seasons, Lamb is still one of the most reliable players in the game, and when things go right, as they did in 2023, he's capable of winning leagues.

Michael Trigg  • TE  •  Cowboys

Michael Trigg Facing Uphill Battle for a Roster Spot in Dallas

After recording 50 receptions for 694 yards and six touchdowns across 11 games as a fifth-year senior at Baylor in 2025, tight end Michael Trigg did not hear his name called in the 2026 NFL Draft. Trigg signed as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys, so he'll have a chance to earn an NFL roster spot this spring/summer. However, Dallas has one of the deeper tight end rooms in the league, with Jake Ferguson, Luke Schoonmaker, and Brevyn Spann-Ford all likely assured of roster spots. Trigg's 84 3/8 wingspan set the all-time record for tight ends at the 2026 Draft Combine, so his measurables offer some intriguing upside. Still, Trigg faces an uphill battle for a roster spot in Dallas and only carries dynasty appeal in the very deepest of league formats.

Javonte Williams  • RB  •  Cowboys

Can Javonte Williams Replicate 2025 Success in 2026?

Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams was one of the surprise success stories of the 2025 season, recording 1,338 yards from scrimmage and 13 touchdowns on 287 touches across 16 games. The Cowboys rewarded Williams this past offseason with a new three-year, $24 million contract. For the second straight year, Williams figures to play a workhorse role in the Dallas backfield. Behind Williams, the unproven trio of Malik Davis, Jaydon Blue, and Phil Mafah currently projects as the next men up on the team's running back depth chart. While Williams' 2025 production seemingly came out of nowhere, it may simply have been a product of him finally getting back to full health after the devastating knee injury that he suffered in 2022. Williams' value in dynasty formats is on the rise as he enters his age-26 season.

Jaydon Blue  • RB  •  Cowboys

Jaydon Blue Will Need to Show More in Year 2 to Stick on Dynasty Rosters

Dallas Cowboys running back Jaydon Blue was a fifth-round pick in 2025, and after only one year in the league, he's already fighting for his roster life at the bottom of dynasty benches. Blue was a healthy scratch in 12 weeks as a rookie, and when he saw the field, he averaged only 3.4 yards per attempt. With Dallas extending Javonte Williams on a three-year, $24 million deal, meaningful reps will again be hard to come by, with Williams' 252 carries in 2025 ranking 10th in the league. Working in Blue's favor was one of the weakest running back draft classes in recent memory. With the Cowboys bypassing the position entirely, opting to spend most of their picks on defense, Blue's competition for primary backup duties will be fifth-year veteran Malik Davis, whose 2025 season was ended by eye and calf injuries, and fellow second-year player Phil Mafah. While the insurance role behind Williams offers little standalone value, an injury would make the Cowboys RB2 one of the more sought-after handcuffs in the league, so for dynasty managers with the luxury, the 22-year-old Blue should be held until news starts to emerge from camp about how the depth chart is shaping up.

George Pickens  • WR  •  Cowboys

George Pickens Signs the Franchise Tag on Wednesday

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens signed the franchise tag on Wednesday, a source told Todd Archer of ESPN. Pickens will be guaranteed $27.3 million while playing for the Cowboys in 2026, but the organization has already said they won't sign the 25-year-old to a long-term extension before the July 15 deadline. Even though Pickens signed the franchise tag, he's expected to hold out during training camp this summer, and the Cowboys could decide to trade him for premium draft capital in 2027. If Pickens says in Dallas for the 2026 campaign, Dallas will have one of the league's top one-two punches at WR again with Pickens and CeeDee Lamb. Pickens led the Cowboys in receiving in 2025 in what was a career year, catching 93 of his 137 targets for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns in 17 games played. He was the WR5 in half-PPR scoring, and as long as he stays in Dallas for the upcoming season, Pickens is going to be a pricey WR1 early in fantasy drafts later this year.

George Pickens  • WR  •  Cowboys

George Pickens hasn't Signed his Franchise Tag With Dallas

Wide receiver George Pickens has not yet signed the franchise-tag tender with the Dallas Cowboys, according to Todd Archer of ESPN. Reports surfaced last week before the 2026 NFL draft that Pickens planned to sign the franchise tender, but it has not happened yet. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said last week that the team won't sign the 25-year-old pass-catcher to a long-term extension before the July 15 deadline, so Pickens is expected to play out the 2026 campaign on the franchise tag. Things could get messy, though, as Pickens is expected to be a holdout into training camp and the preseason. If he plays 2026 on the franchise tag, he'll be owed a guaranteed $27.3 million. There's also a possibility that Dallas looks to trade Pickens if a long-term deal can't be reached. The former second-rounder by Pittsburgh in 2022 out of Georgia had a career-best 93-1,429-9 line in 17 games in his first year in Dallas in 2025, which will put him firmly in the WR1 draft rankings for the upcoming season.

Anthony Smith  • WR  •  Cowboys

Cowboys Select Anthony Smith in the Seventh Round

The Dallas Cowboys have selected East Carolina wide receiver prospect Anthony Smith with the 218th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft. An older prospect at 24 years old, Smith spent four seasons at NC State, followed by two at ECU. During his sixth and final collegiate campaign, he caught 64 passes for 1,053 yards and seven touchdowns. He also had a 45-yard rushing touchdown. His 40-yard dash time is in the low 4.40s, and he has the ability to stretch the field on offense. At the moment, he projects as a developmental depth receiver in Dallas, where he'll be blocked on the depth chart by players like CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Ryan Flournoy, among others. He can be avoided in most fantasy football leagues.

Dee Winters  • LB  •  Cowboys

Cowboys Acquire Dee Winters in Trade With the 49ers

The Dallas Cowboys have acquired linebacker Dee Winters from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for the No. 152 overall selection in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Winters started all 17 games last season, tallying 101 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and one interception (a 74-yard pick-six). The former sixth-round pick out of TCU is heading into a contract year as he wraps up his rookie contract. Dallas will now have the opportunity to extend him or let him play out the final year of his contract in a revamped Cowboys offense. The move makes sense roster-wise, as Dallas needed a linebacker upgrade desperately. Meanwhile, Winters became somewhat expendable in San Francisco after the 49ers re-signed Dre Greenlaw.

George Pickens  • WR  •  Cowboys

George Pickens to Sign the Franchise Tag

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens is expected to sign the franchise tag in the coming days, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Because Pickens technically is not under contract with the Cowboys, he wouldn't be fined for missing any mandatory workouts this offseason. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said earlier this week that the two sides won't work out a long-term contract extension, even though they still have until July 15 to get something done. Once the 25-year-old wideout signs the franchise tag, Dallas could look to trade Pickens, despite talk earlier this offseason that they want him around long term. The former second-rounder by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022 out of Georgia had a career year in 2025 in his first season with Dallas, catching 93 passes for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns as the team's leading receiver. The Cowboys might want to see a repeat from Pickens in 2026 before giving him a long-term deal, especially since they already have CeeDee Lamb. After his big season last year, Pickens will go as a WR1 in fantasy drafts this fall.

Malachi Lawrence  • DE  •  Cowboys

Malachi Lawrence Joins Cowboys at 23rd Pick

After trading down from the 20th overall selection with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys will select UCF defensive end Malachi Lawrence with the 23rd pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Lawrence spent his entire college career playing for UCF but did not carve out a full-time role on the defense until his second season. In 2023, Lawrence would tally 7.5 sacks with 105 tackles for loss. After a somewhat down season in 2024, where he logged only 5.0 sacks, Lawrence would return to form in his senior campaign, logging a career-high 11.0 tackles for loss with 7.0 sacks, and was named first-team All-Big 12. Per scouting reports, Lawrence has the skill set to win on the line with both his power and speed. Lawrence will join a Dallas defense that struggled to pressure the opposing quarterbacks last fall, logging just 35.0 total sacks.

Caleb Downs  • S  •  Cowboys

Cowboys Trade Up, Select Caleb Downs 11th Overall in 2026 NFL Draft

The Dallas Cowboys have traded up one spot from pick No. 12 to pick No. 11 to select Ohio State safety Caleb Downs. Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Dallas is sending picks number 12, 177, and 180 to the Miami Dolphins in return for the 11th pick. Downs earned All-American honors in both 2024 and 2025 while playing for the Buckeyes. Last season, he racked up 45 solo tackles, two interceptions, five TFLs, and one sack across 14 games. The 21-year-old is known as a high-level playmaker in the secondary who should make an immediate impact as both a run and pass defender for the Cowboys. Given the draft capital they surrendered to get their hands on Downs, Dallas may be planning on plugging him in as a starter right away in 2026.

George Pickens to Play on Franchise Tag in 2026

Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said that wide receiver George Pickens will play under the $27.3 million franchise tag in 2026, according to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports. "There won't be negotiations on a long-term deal," Jones says. Pickens has not signed the franchise tag, so he isn't under contract and can't be fined for missing voluntary or mandatory team activities. If Pickens' holdout drags into the 2026 regular season and he doesn't report, he could miss out on game checks of $1.5 million each week. The Cowboys and Pickens have until July 15 to work out a long-term deal. The Cowboys calling off extension talks doesn't sound like a good thing for the team or for Pickens. This could get messier in training camp and as the start of the season nears in early September. The 25-year-old had a career year with a 93-1,429-9 line in 17 games played in his first year with Dallas, and he will have a WR1 price in fantasy drafts this fall. Fantasy managers considering taking Pickens early in 2026 drafts should be wary of what is shaping up to be a messy contract situation. UPDATE: Pickens might sit out the team's offseason program, but Dallas is optimistic that he'll sign his franchise tag before Week 1 of the regular season.

Brandon Aubrey  • K  •  Cowboys

Cowboys Make Brandon Aubrey the Highest-Paid Kicker in the League

The Dallas Cowboys made kicker Brandon Aubrey the league's highest-paid kicker on Monday by giving him a four-year, $28 million deal, sources told Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. The deal includes $20 million guaranteed and was negotiated by agents Todd France and AJ Stevens of Athletes First. Aubrey becomes the first kicker in NFL history to average $7 million annually. He finished the 2025 campaign as the No. 3 fantasy kicker by making 36 of his 42 field-goal attempts (85.7%) and 47 of his 48 extra-point tries in 17 games played. The 31-year-old veteran has been a Pro Bowler for Dallas in each of his first three years in the league, and he now has an 88.2% success rate on field goals in 51 regular-season games. In a Dallas offense that should be among the highest-scoring in the league again in 2026, Aubrey qualifies as a high-end fantasy kicker target yet again. The fact that the Cowboys play half their games in a dome makes Aubrey even more attractive at the position.

Dak Prescott Still a Dynasty Target After Leading NFL in Completions

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had a terrific 2026 season, ranking as the overall QB6 in fantasy football. Despite lacking rushing upside, Prescott was a top fantasy option with his 67.3% completion rate, 4,552 passing yards, 32 total touchdowns, and 12 turnovers. The 32-year-old bounced back in a huge way after his injury-shortened 2024 season. In each of his last four seasons with 13+ games played, Prescott has ranked as a top-eight fantasy quarterback. Staying healthy is easier said than done, but if he can remain upright and on the field, the Mississippi State product has tremendous fantasy upside. There's also a lot to love about the passing volume in Dallas; last season, Prescott led the NFL in completions (404) and had the second-most pass attempts (600). With CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Jake Ferguson all returning to this passing game for the 2026 campaign, the veteran quarterback should remain quite busy throwing the ball to a talented group of receivers. His current evaluation as the QB15 in RotoBaller's latest dynasty rankings reflects his age (32), but dynasty contenders looking to win now should absolutely pursue a trade for Prescott this offseason since he has top-five upside at an affordable price tag.

CeeDee Lamb  • WR  •  Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb Trending Down Slightly in Dynasty Leagues?

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is listed as a player trending down in RotoBaller's latest dynasty fantasy football rankings. The 27-year-old is coming off the worst fantasy season of his career, catching 75 passes for 1,077 yards and three touchdowns while ranking as the overall WR22 in PPR leagues. Part of the reason for Lamb's step backward is that he missed three games due to injury. If you extrapolate his stats over a full 17-game season, he still would have ranked as the overall WR7. However, that's easier said than done, as Lamb hasn't been healthy for all 17 games since 2023. The presence of George Pickens is another factor to consider. While Lamb and Pickens were able to coexist last year, the former saw his volume share drop to 8.4 targets per game, which was his lowest mark since 2021. That's not to say that managers should panic about Lamb or trade him away in dynasty leagues, but it's time to acknowledge that he faces an uphill battle to get into the very top tier of dynasty receivers. As it stands, he finds himself in the second tier, ranking as RotoBaller's WR7 for dynasty fantasy football.

Cowboys Not Receiving Trade Interest in George Pickens

Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday that the team has "had no one call with interest" in wide receiver George Pickens, regarding a potential trade, according to Todd Archer of ESPN. Even though the Cowboys have expressed plenty of interest in locking Pickens up long-term after already placing the franchise tag on him, no new deal has been agreed upon. The Cowboys most likely have an extremely high asking price after Pickens' 2025 breakout season, and maturity issues in the past could be scaring potential suitors away as well. The Cowboys are notorious for dragging their feet with long-term deals for their star players, so the former second-rounder of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022 out of Georgia is expected to be a holdout heading into training camp this summer. Pickens had 93 catches for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns in 17 games last year. He will be a WR1 target in fantasy football drafts this fall with at least one more guaranteed season in Dallas (if he's not traded).

Ryan Flournoy Faces a Hard Path to Fantasy Relevance Despite Year 2 Flashes

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Flournoy had some fantasy-relevant moments in his second season as a sixth-round pick out of Southeast Missouri State, namely a six-catch, 114-yard outing in his first start of the season, filling in for the injured CeeDee Lamb. Unfortunately for Flournoy, when the Cowboys are at full health, the path to consistent fantasy contribution is obstructed from all sides. George Pickens was one of the biggest breakouts of 2025, and he appears slated to return for at least one more year on the franchise tag. Jake Ferguson was one of the most targeted tight ends in the league, and Lamb topped 1,000 receiving yards for the fifth straight year, despite missing three games. Impressively, Flournoy did lead the Cowboys in targets and receptions in a wild Week 14 loss to the Lions that saw him finish the game with 115 yards and a score in a week where Dallas had its full complement of pass catchers. Such flashes should not be unexpected from the big-bodied receiver in year three, but until the depth chart ahead of him thins out, Flournoy will be hard to trust with any sort of reliability outside of best ball formats.
