Brevin Jordan News
Houston Texans rookie tight end Brevin Jordan failed to impress in Week 16. The Texans No. 1 receiving option, wideout Brandin Cooks, missed Sunday's game due to COVID-19, which opened the door for an increase in production for the rest of Houston's pass-catchers. However, Jordan saw his usual four targets, converting all of them for 56 yards. Jordan seems to be getting better as the season progresses, but he has failed to do enough to be considered a streaming option in fantasy at the weakest position. Until that occurs, Jordan can't be counted on any more than a low-end TE2 in what is usually a lackluster Texans offense.
Houston Texans rookie tight end Brevin Jordan (hand), who was questionable for Week 15, is officially active on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jordan missed practice on Friday, which put his status up in the air for this weekend. But the 21-year-old will play after all and should serve as Houston's primary pass-catching tight end. The Texans have been trying to get a better look at their young players down the stretch, which has allowed Jordan to get more involved in the passing attack in recent weeks. He's seen 11 targets in the last two games and has scored in two of the last three weeks as well. Jordan is one to watch in deeper leagues and is trending up, but he's still not a realistic TE streamer in fantasy in this low-scoring Texans offense.
Houston Texans rookie tight end Brevin Jordan (hand) missed practice on Friday and is questionable to play on Sunday in Week 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jordan was limited the first two days of practice this week, but the fact that he didn't practice at all on Friday could be a bad sign for his availability this weekend. The 21-year-old fifth-rounder saw a season-high seven targets in last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks and has scored in two of the last three games. The Texans are clearly featuring their young players more down the stretch, and it's made Jordan one to stash in deep and dynasty leagues. However, he'll be a shaky TE2 this weekend. If he doesn't play, Pharaoh Brown and Jordan Akins could see expanded roles.
