Free-agent wide receiver Chris Lacy inked a deal with the Raiders on Wednesday. Lacy was introduced to the NFL after the Patriots signed him in 2018. After being waived, he went on to suit up for the Lions, where he appeared in eight unproductive games over two seasons. Since then, he has made stops in Dallas and Chicago. Nonetheless, it's unknown if the 26-year-old will be on the roster come Week 1. However, even if he is, he isn't expected to do much to benefit fantasy managers.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Chris Lacy has been waived by the team, according to Brad Briggs of The Chicago Tribune. Lacy was far down the totem pole in the Bears wide receivers room but flashed, at times, during training camp catching passes from rookie phenom Justin Fields. But Lacy struggled to make plays during preseason action and the Bears have decide to move on.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Chris Lacy had just one catch for 11 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3 of the preseason. Lacy has proven himself as a solid wide receiver and will likely find a spot of the Lion's regular season roster. However, the Lions are deep at wide receiver and Lacy will not be on the field much unless multiple injuries happen up top. Lacy currently has no fantasy value.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Chris Lacy has moved up the Lions depth chart and falls below only wide receivers Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones, and Danny Amendola. In addition, Amendola is still out (undisclosed) and there is little news on whether or not he will be back for the start of the regular season. If Lacy locks down the fourth receiver spot but all three receiver above him are healthy, he has little to no fantasy value. However, if one or more of those receivers doesn't play a certain week, Lacy could become interesting.
