Bears Bring Back Christian Jones
The Chicago Bears signed linebacker Christian Jones to an undisclosed one-year deal on Wednesday. Jones started his career with the Bears in 2014 when he was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State. He spent his first four NFL seasons in Chicago before signing with the Detroit Lions. He appeared in 45 games for the Lions over the last three seasons before returning to the Bears. In his first stint with the Bears, Jones appeared in 63 games (31 starts). He posted a career-high 90 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in 16 games (11 starts) for Chicago in 2017. Jones was a full-time starter in Detroit, starting 42 of his 45 games over three seasons. He tallied 57 tackles for the Lions in 2020.
