Jets Depth Chart
C.J. Mosley News
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley made six solo tackles and five assists in the Jets' 27-6 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9. It was Mosley's second straight game with over 10 tackles and his fifth double-digit tackle game of the season. Over his nine-year career, Mosley has consistently been one of the leading tacklers, but his lack of impact plays limit his upside. Going into a Week 10 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, Mosley is the LB15 in RotoBaller IDP scoring and the LB14 in the FantasyPros format. He's a strong start against almost any team, and that won't change this week.

C.J. Mosley Looks Slimmer And Quicker
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley, who opted out in 2020 due to COVID-19 and played in just two games due to injuries in 2019, could have a bounce-back year in 2021. Mosley looked slimmer and quicker during offseason practices, which should help him transition to the team's 4-3 defensive scheme. He was one of the league's best off-ball linebackers before his injuries in his first year with the Jets, but he'll need to prove that the rust is shaken off this summer in training camp. The Jets defense should take a huge step forward if Mosley returns to his pre-injury form, and savvy fantasy managers in IDP leagues will take advantage of his low cost.

C.J. Mosley Has A Big Chip On His Shoulder
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley hasn't played a complete game with the team since signing a record-setting contract in March of 2019. Mosley opted out of last season due to COVID-19. "There's a little added chip [on his shoulder] because you've always got your fans that are going to heckle," Mosley said. "When I get back on the field, I definitely want to make sure they respect the name again." The 28-year-old made four Pro Bowls with the Baltimore Ravens, and he's trying to re-establish himself under a new coaching staff and defensive scheme. The Jets have been open to trading Mosley, but his contract has proved immovable. Mosley and Jarrad Davis are expected to start in the team's 4-3 defense, although their exact positions haven't been determined. If he can return to his previous Pro Bowl form, Mosley will surely be on the IDP radar.

Jets Receiving Trade Calls On C.J. Mosley
The New York Jets have been receiving trade calls on four-time Pro Bowl linebacker C.J. Mosley. The seventh-year veteran still has $22 million in guarantees remaining on his contract after he opted out due to COVID-19 in 2020. His salary cap hit on a new team would be $6 million in 2021. Mosley signed a five-year, $85 million deal with the Jets in 2019 but played in just two games after suffering a serious groin injury early in the season. He spent his first five seasons with the Baltimore Ravens after he was selected 17th overall in the 2014 draft. In 79 career games, Mosley has 588 total tackles (43 for loss), 32 QB hits, 8.5 sacks and 10 interceptions (two for touchdowns). He also had a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown in 2015.

C.J. Mosley Expects To Be Ready For Training Camp
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (groin) said that he's been cleared for all activity and expects to be able to take part in training camp next month. Mosley suffered a groin injury in Week 1 of last year and needed season-ending surgery in December after trying to return in Week 7. The 27-year-old was a big free-agent addition (five-year, $85 million deal) before the 2019 season, but the Jets are hoping he can return to his pre-injury form this year. The former first-round pick of the Ravens has been a Pro Bowler four times in his six seasons and should be a difference-maker in the middle of Gang Green's defense if he's fully healthy. Mosley should also be a low-end starter in IDP leagues, as he's gone over 100 combined tackles four times in his career.

C.J. Mosley Says Team Would Be Crazy To Trade Jamal Adams
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley says that the organization would be crazy to trade safety Jamal Adams. That would be a crazy move," says Mosley. He goes on to mention that Adams is a leader on the team and brings an extra energy to the organization. Adams is one of the best safeties in the league. However, he wants a massive extension and the Jets don't appear to be nearing a deal with Adams. The 24-year-old safety would bring a massive amount of assets back in a possible trade. However, it doesn't sound like his teammates are willing to let him leave just yet.

C.J. Mosley On Track For Spring Football
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (groin), who is six weeks removed from groin/abdominal surgery, said he is jogging "a little bit" and is on track to take part in "spring football." Mosley has also started a vegan diet after playing in just two games last season because of his injury in his first year in New York. The 27-year-old should be ready for a full training camp heading into the 2020 season, and he should give Gang Green a steadying presence in the middle of the field next season. Mosley recorded 100-plus tackles in four of his five seasons in Baltimore before signing with the Jets in free agency last offseason.

Jets Place C.J. Mosley On Injured Reserve
The New York Jets placed linebacker C.J. Mosley (groin) on season-ending Injured Reserve on Tuesday, according to a source. In a corresponding move, the Jets claimed defensive back Bennett Jackson off waivers from the Ravens. A big free-agent acquisition for Gang Green this year, Mosley wound up only playing in two games, accumulating nine total tackles, a fumble recovery and an interception. His absence in the middle of the Jets Defense has been a huge loss for the Jets all season and has contributed to their defense being dominated more weeks than not. With All-Pro safety Jamal Adams week-to-week with an injury of his own, New York's defense is limping to the finish line. Even against the Dolphins in Week 14, the Jets aren't a strong streaming defense.

C.J. Mosley Not Over His Injury
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (groin), who returned last Monday night for the first time since the season opener, didn't look right in his return. Head coach Adam Gase said the team will do a "deep dive" to see what exactly is wrong with Mosley's groin. It doesn't sound promising that he'll be on the field in Week 8 against the Jaguars, but the Jets will know more on Friday. Gang Green's defense was manhandled by the Patriots on Monday night, and fantasy owners should look to stay away from them for the foreseeable future.

C.J. Mosley Says He's Playing Monday
New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (groin) said that he will play on Monday night against the Patriots. Mosley has been out since the season opener with a severe groin injury, but it looks like he's targeting this Monday as his return to action. The Jets Defense/special teams just hasn't been the same without their prized offseason acquisition. He will certainly boost the interior of their defense if he returns, but it won't be enough to make Gang Green a streamable defense in fantasy against the undefeated Patriots on Monday night.
