Cody Ford Returning To Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Bengals are re-signing offensive lineman Cody Ford to a two-year, $6 million deal. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported the news. The 28-year-old is fresh off his second season with the team and played a possible 33 of 34 games over the prior two seasons. Ford played the fourth-most snaps of any Bengals offensive lineman in 2024, registering 60.6% of the team's snaps while serving primarily as a guard for the team. However, he was not the most effective of the group. Still, Cincinnati trusts the former second-round pick, and he'll spend at least two more seasons protecting franchise quarterback Joe Burrow. Now, the Bengals have to find a way to hold onto triple-crown-winning wideout Ja'Marr Chase and reigning NFL sack leader Trey Hendrickson.

Cody Ford Traded To The Cardinals

The Buffalo Bills traded offensive guard Cody Ford to the Arizona Cardinals on Monday in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick in 2023. The Bills selected Ford in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft out of the University of Oklahoma, but the 25-year-old has mostly disappointed in his first three seasons in the NFL. He'll be looking to prove he belongs in Arizona as offensive line depth this year. In his three years with Buffalo, Ford played in 38 games and made 29 starts.

Cody Ford Out For The Season

Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Cody Ford (knee) is out for the rest of the season, according to head coach Sean McDermott. Ford suffered a torn meniscus in practice earlier this week and is set for surgery that will take three to four months of rehab, according to a source. He should make a full recovery and be ready for next season, but this is a big blow to Buffalo's offensive line. It's certainly bad news for a Bills rushing attack that has average just 97.6 rushing yards per game so far this season. Quarterback Josh Allen is having an MVP-type season in 2020, but the loss of Ford could put more pressure on him to step up and make big plays. The 23-year-old Ford was a second-round pick out of Oklahoma in 2019.
