Devonta Freeman Leads Ravens In Rushing On Sunday

Baltimore Ravens running back Devonta Freeman ran for a team-high 76 yards off 14 carries during the one-point loss to the Rams on Sunday. The veteran did score a touchdown in Week 16 versus the Bengals, but he was far more consistent against Los Angeles, racking up 5.4 YPC. With the Steelers up ahead, he will look to finish the year strong in what could be his final game as a Raven.

Devonta Freeman Has Another Good Game

Baltimore Ravens running back Devonta Freeman racked up 64 rushing yards on just 13 carries with five receptions for eight yards against the Cleveland Browns. However, the headline of this game was quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle) spraining his ankle. This is certainly not good news for Freeman, but backup Tyler Huntley played adequately enough for Freeman to maintain a good stat line. Additionally, since the 29-year-old took over for Latavius Murray in Week 6, he has amassed at least 10 fantasy points in 0.5 PPR leagues five times and failed to do so only thrice (with none of those games being under 6.5 points). Regardless of Jackson's injury status, Freeman can be started as an RB2 in all leagues, but Jackson's absence would harm his value.

Devonta Freeman Scores, Racks Up 97 Totals Yards In Week 13

Baltimore Ravens running back Devonta Freeman had 14 carries for 52 yards and one touchdown and recorded five catches on eight targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 20-19 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 29-year-old led the Ravens backfield in rushing attempts and found the end zone in Sunday's loss. He's getting the bulk of the touches and has logged at least 14 carries in three straight games. Freeman has rushed for 376 yards on 89 attempts with four touchdowns while catching 23 passes for 170 yards and one score over 11 games in 2021. The veteran back will look to build on Sunday's performance when the Ravens take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 14.

Devonta Freeman Leads Ravens Backfield With 16 Carries

Baltimore Ravens running back Devonta Freeman logged 16 carries for 52 yards and caught his only target for eight yards in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. He led the Ravens backfield with 16 carries and offensive snaps but averaged only 3.3 yards per carry. The 29-year-old has topped 50 rushing yards twice over the last four games. Freeman is the Ravens back to roster, but his fantasy value doesn't have a high ceiling with Lamar Jackson as its starting quarterback. The veteran is an RB3/flex against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13.

Devonta Freeman Leads Team To A Late Victory On Sunday

Baltimore Ravens running back Devonta Freeman finished with 49 yards off 16 carries during the win over Chicago in Week 11. The 29-year-old also scored a touchdown, and it was an important one, finding the end zone off a three-yard run late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. As expected, he split touches with backup signal-caller Tyler Huntley and Latavius Murray, who returned from the ankle injury that sidelined him since Week 6. However, it's apparent Freeman is currently the team's unofficial lead option out of the backfield. Nonetheless, despite the anticipated timeshare with Murray andLamar Jacksonmoving ahead, he does possess flex appeal in most formats for the Thursday Night Football showdown against Cleveland in Week 12.

Devonta Freeman Finds The End Zone Against Los Angeles

Baltimore Ravens running back Devonta Freeman conceded touches to Le'Veon Bell, Latavius Murray, and Lamar Jackson in Week 6. However, he still managed to produce a team-high 53 yards off nine carries during the win over Los Angeles. Despite competition out of the backfield, the veteran also found the end zone, scoring off a nine-yard carry only seconds into the fourth quarter. Nonetheless, the 29-year-old will likely fizzle at some point again over the next game or so, as evident by his meager five carries throughout the previous three weeks heading into Sunday's showdown against the Chargers. There is a small upside, although it's likely not enough to keep him relevant in any fantasy setup moving forward, including during the Week 7 divisional matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Devonta Freeman Rushes For 29 Yards in Ravens Debut

Baltimore Ravens running back Devonta Freeman rushed for 29 yards on two attempts in Sunday's 36-35 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. He was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game. The veteran signed with Ravens after the team lost running backs Gus Edwards (knee), J.K. Dobbins (knee), and Justice Hill (knee) to season-ending injuries. Freeman was third on the team in carries behind Ty'Son Williams and Latavius Murray but looked good, rushing for 29 yards on two attempts in his Ravens debut. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Freeman on their roster as he could push Murray for the Ravens RB2 role. Baltimore continues to use a committee limiting the fantasy value of all four Ravens running backs. Freeman is a dart throw in Sunday's matchup against the Detroit Lions and should remain on benches in Week 3.

Devonta Freeman Promoted To The Active Roster

Baltimore Ravens running back Devonta Freeman was promoted to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on Thursday. He was signed to the Ravens practice squad before Week 1 after the team lost running backs Gus Edwards (knee), J.K. Dobbins (knee), and Justice Hill (knee) to season-ending injuries. Baltimore is expected to use a committee based on head coach John Harbaugh's recent comments. He is "blessed" to have four running backs like Ty'Son Williams, Latavius Murray, Devonta Freeman, and Le'Veon Bell. The Ravens head coach declined how the team's four backs would split the Ravens workload. "We got four backs into the mix, and we're going to play all those guys," said Harbaugh. Freeman won't have a vital role with the Ravens right away but the veteran RB is worth stashing in deep-league formats. The 29-year-old rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown over five games for the Giants in 2019.

Le'Veon Bell, Devonta Freeman Won't Play Monday

Baltimore Ravens recently signed running backs Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman will not be elevated from the practice squad to the team's active roster for the Monday night game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Ravens chose to elevate Anthony Levine Sr. and Justin Ellis as their two gameday activations from the practice squad. Baltimore added Bell and Freeman after losing J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Justice Hill to season-ending injuries before the season-opener. Veteran Latavius Murray was also signed, and he'll be active in Monday night alongside Ty'Son Williams and Trenton Cannon. Bell and Freeman haven't been productive in the NFL in several years, but they could be worth stashing in deeper leagues for running back depth. However, it's uncertain what their roles would be if they are elevated to the active roster at some point this season.

Devonta Freeman Signs With Ravens Practice Squad

Free-agent running back Devonta Freeman signed with the Baltimore Ravens practice squad on Thursday in lieu of running back Gus Edwards(knee) most likely tearing his ACL. Freeman has lingered around the league for a few years now without producing much. Since 2018, Freeman has played in 21 games and rushed for only 896 yards and three touchdowns on 252 attempts. This signing is more so to supplement the Ravens running back room with an experienced veteran that will at least not mess things up. The former Atlanta Falcon will likely get some playing time due to the Ravens backfield losses, but it'd be surprising if he becomes fantasy relevant outside of much deeper leagues. However, the 29-year-old may be worth a pickup if you're scouring for help at running back, as long as there's someone unexciting to drop.
