It's excellent news as Wentz tries to bounce back from a disastrous final season with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. It's also great news for second-year running back Jonathan Taylor.

He earned All-Pro honors in 2018. Cutting Schwartz clears $6.255 million in salary cap space, while Fisher's release saves the team $11.968 million with $3.18 million in dead money. Without Fisher and Schwartz in the Super Bowl, KC's offensive line was unable to protect Mahomes. So it's fair to wonder how their offensive line will hold up in 2021, especially with four other O-linemen set to be free agents.

It's great news for KC's offensive line, quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the running game as they look to avenge their loss earlier this season to the Raiders. Mahomes completed only 22 of his 43 pass attempts against Las Vegas in Week 5, but he still managed to throw for 340 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He also had one of his two rushing scores in that contest. Mahomes will have all of his offensive weapons available and will once again be an elite must-start QB1 in the rematch.

That makes them candidates to clear the league's protocols and play in Week 11 against the division-rival Raiders. While nobody is benching any of the Chiefs top offensive players like Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill or Travis Kelce, losing one or both of Fisher and/or Schwartz for this weekend's divisional showdown would be a downgrade for KC's high-flying offensive attack.
