Graham Glasgow Leaves Practice With Lower-Leg Injury

Detroit Lions center Graham Glasgow (lower leg) left the team's Thursday practice with a lower leg injury, per Colton Pouncy of The Athletic. The severity of Glasgow's injury is unknown, but it's a worrying development for Detroit. The Lions lost All-Pro center Frank Ragnow to retirement heading into 2025, necessitating Glasgow's move from guard to center. If Glasgow were to miss time, Detroit would likely be relying on 2024 undrafted free agent signee Kingsley Eguakun as its starting center. The Lions are also starting rookie Tate Ratledge at right guard and 2024 sixth-rounder Christian Mahogany at left guard, so the interior of the offensive line could soon be a major question mark. Detroit's running back tandem of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery has been the beneficiary of playing behind one of the league's best offensive lines over the past couple of seasons, which may no longer be the case.

Lions Re-Sign Graham Glasgow

The Detroit Lions are re-signing offensive guard Graham Glasgow to a three-year, $20 million deal that includes $9.5 million guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. After three seasons with the Denver Broncos, Glasgow returned to where he began his career in Detroit last season, and he started 15 games on the team's stellar offensive line. Guard Halapoulivaati Vaitai has suffered season-ending injuries in each of the last two years, so the starting guard job appears to be Glasgow's moving forward.

Graham Glasgow Returning To Lions

Former Denver Broncos free-agent offensive guard Graham Glasgow is returning to the Detroit Lions on a one-year deal worth up to $4.5 million on Thursday, according to a source. Glasgow was Detroit's third-round pick back in 2016, and he spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the team until moving to Denver in 2020. In his seven-year career, the 30-year-old offensive lineman has started 91 of the 99 games that he's appeared in. He played in all 17 games for the Broncos in 2022 and started 13 of them.

Broncos Release Graham Glasgow On Friday

The Denver Broncos released offensive guard Graham Glasgow on Friday, according to a source. Cutting Glasgow clears $11 million in salary cap space for the 2023 season. The 30-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Broncos and played in 37 games (33 starts). He was originally taken in the third round of the 2016 draft out of Michigan by the Detroit Lions. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Lions before joining Denver in 2020. Because of his ability to play multiple spots along the offensive line, Glasgow should garner interest on the open market as O-line depth.

Graham Glasgow Out For The Year With Fractured Leg

Denver Broncos offensive guard Graham Glasgow (leg) will miss the rest of the 2021 season after fracturing his leg in the Week 9 win over the Dallas Cowboys, according to a source. Glasgow was carted off the field on Sunday and had his leg immobilized. Right tackle Bobby Massie (ankle) will miss at least one game after suffering what's believed to be a fractured ankle. Rookie Quinn Meinerz filled in for Glasgow after he went down in Week 9. Second-year guard Netane Muti started in Glasgow's place earlier this year when he missed some time with an atrial fibrillation. Muti missed the team's last two games while on the COVID-19 list. The Broncos will decide whether Muti or Meinerz will replace Glasgow this week as the starting right guard in Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Left tackle Garrett Bolles (ankle) could also miss more time, so Denver's offensive line is pretty beat up right now.

Graham Glasgow Up In The Air For Week 2

Denver Broncos right guard Graham Glasgow (heart) played all but three offensive snaps in the Week 1 win over the New York Giants, but he ended up leaving the stadium by ambulance after experiencing an irregular heartbeat during the game. Head coach Vic Fangio said "everything is so far, so good" after Glasgow underwent tests in New York on Monday. Dr. Nikhil Warrier described Glasgow's situation as likely "atrial fibrillation." It's unknown if Glasgow will be able to start in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road. If he cannot go, second-year offensive lineman Netane Muti would likely get the start at right guard.

Graham Glasgow Tests Positive For COVID-19

Denver Broncos right guard Graham Glasgow tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, according to a source. Two other players who were close contacts with Glasgow are currently being quarantined and the Broncos chose to cancel their practice and go with virtual meetings on Friday out of an abundance of caution. Glasgow will be unavailable to play in Week 8 against the division-rival Chargers, which will be bad news for Denver's running game against a solid Chargers defensive front. It's unclear if the close contacts will be cleared for Sunday's tilt. The Chargers Defense is easily a top-10 fantasy unit against a Broncos offense that just hasn't been consistent at all in 2020.

Broncos Signing Graham Glasgow

The Denver Broncos are signing center Graham Glasgow to a four-year, $44 million deal on Monday. The deal includes $26 million in guarantees. Glasgow will help solidify the team's center spot in 2020 and beyond. The 27-year-old has started 58 of his 62 games for the Lions in the first four seasons of his career and should be an upgrade over what Denver has used at the position recently. Upgrading the offensive line is a huge priority as they look to protect second-year quarterback Drew Lock.
