The Tennessee Titans activated wide receiver Harry Douglas off Injured Reserve on Saturday and waived receiver Darius Jennings in a corresponding move. Douglas returned to practice this week after being put on IR in September. He'll help add wide receiver depth, but even if Rishard Matthews (hamstring) doesn't play this weekend, Douglas is unlikely to be a big part of the offense. He can be avoided for now in all fantasy leagues.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Harry Douglas (knee) practiced Monday and is eligible to come off Injured Reserve this week. Although the team has three weeks to activate him, head coach Mike Mularkey said it could come as early as this week. Douglas' return will add depth to Tennessee's receiving room, but it's likely too crowded as it is for Douglas to carve out a fantasy-significant role to close out the year.
Harry Douglas has had a forgettable season in a mostly forgettable career (excluding his huge 2013), but it wasn't his catching that drew attention to him on Sunday. Instead, Douglas caught a lot of flak for a low block he laid on Chris Harris Jr. in the second quarter. After giving Harris a shot to the knee on a run play, Douglas faced off against Aqib Talib on the next play. Talib, no stranger to fisticuffs, decided to share his displeasure with Douglas on the field, and the two had to be broken up by teammates. Douglas will likely remain a non entity moving forward this season, but any who thought he might be worth a waiver addition shouldn't be surprised if he spends most of next week on the sideline.
