J.T. Barrett Fantasy Stats

The Seattle Seahawks have signed quarterback J.T. Barrett to the team for now, but he's not expected to be with the squad for long. Barrett was signed because Geno Smith had a minor surgical procedure on his knee on Friday, and that left Russell Wilson and Paxton Lynch as the only quarterbacks left on the team roster. Smith is expected back in 5-10 days, so Barrett's time with the team is likely to be quite short. That said, maybe Barrett can wow the coaches or Smith struggles to get back to form, so it's something to keep an eye on. The former Ohio State QB has yet to take a snap in the NFL, but he'll likely make an appearance in Seattle's next preseason game on August 18 unless Smith hurries back.

New Orleans Saints quarterback J.T. Barrett has been re-signed onto the practice squad following the promotion of linebacker Vince Biegal to the active roster. Barrett has been cut and re-signed twice already in the early season. If the Saints hold onto Barrett until quarterback Drew Brees retires, it'll be interesting to see if he has a chance to compete with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater for a starting job. Regardless, Barrett is irrelevant in all fantasy formats this season.
