Jack Conklin Evaluated for Concussion, Won't Return Sunday

Cleveland Browns right tackle Jack Conklin (concussion) exited during the third quarter of Sunday's Week 6 contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion, and the team eventually ruled him out. Injuries continue to plague Conklin, who had appeared in just two games prior to this week and played more than 30 percent of the snaps just once. KT Leveston has entered the game at right tackle, replacing Conklin.

Browns Likely To See Return Of Jack Conklin

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jack Conklin (elbow) is trending toward a return on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. His return would be a major boost to the offensive, which is making a change this week by replacing quarterback Joe Flacco with rookie Dillon Gabriel. Conklin, 31, has faced significantly injury issues in recent years, appearing in an average of 8.5 games during the past four seasons. When healthy, however, Conklin is a difference-making tackle, which should give Gabriel help at a key position on Sunday.

Browns 'Hopeful' Jack Conklin Will Play

According to Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, the team is hopeful that offensive lineman Jack Conklin (elbow) will be available for Sunday's matchup with the Minnesota Vikings in London. Conklin has been bothered by an elbow injury that's forced him to miss the previous three games, but it appears the Browns are holding out hope for him after he logged his first full practice since Week 1 on Friday. The sentiment seems to be that the 31-year-old will play. If he's inactive, it will be teammate Cornelius Lucas holding down the edge in rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel's NFL debut.

Jack Conklin Ruled Out for Week 4

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jack Conklin (elbow) has been ruled out for the Week 4 game on Sunday against the Detroit Lions. The Browns said at the start of the week that Conklin was making progress with his elbow injury, and they were hoping he could return this weekend, but he'll be held out for the third straight game. Conklin's next chance to return will be next Sunday in London, England, against the Minnesota Vikings. The Browns' offensive line will once again be short-handed against a strong Lions defensive line, which is bad news for quarterback Joe Flacco and Cleveland's ground game as they look for a second straight upset in Detroit.

Jack Conklin Questionable to Return with Eye Injury

Cleveland Browns right tackle Jack Conklin (eye) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals with an eye injury. Cornelius Lucas has taken over at right tackle for Cleveland in his place. Conklin is generally considered one of the better run-blocking right tackles in the league, so his absence could be an issue for Browns running backs Jerome Ford, Dylan Sampson, and Raheim Sanders.

Jack Conklin Out, Jedrick Wills Active For Browns

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jack Conklin (hamstring) has been ruled out for the Week 5 contest on Sunday against the Washington Commanders, while left tackle Jedrick Wills (knee) is active. Conklin made some progress at practice this week, but he remains out of action and will be hoping to make his 2024 debut in Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles. The good news is the Browns' offensive line will get their left tackle back after he hurt his knee in Week 3 and was forced to sit out of the Week 4 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Browns' offense has been well below average through the first four weeks of the season, but they have an opportunity to be successful this weekend against a porous Commanders secondary. The return of Wills should be seen as good news for quarterback Deshaun Watson as they look to get back into the win column.

Jack Conklin Downgraded To Out

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jack Conklin (hamstring) has been downgraded to out for Week 3 versus the New York Giants because of his hamstring injury. The good news is that the Browns didn't call up another offensive lineman for Sunday's game, which is a sign that left tackle Jedrick Wills (knee), who is listed as questionable, will be able to make his 2024 debut this weekend. Conklin practiced in full on Wednesday and Thursday but was downgraded to limited on Friday and will now sit out against the G-Men. With the 30-year-old tackle unavailable this weekend, look for former fourth-rounder Dawand Jones to make another start at right tackle for Cleveland. The Browns' offense looked slightly better in the Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they still managed only 18 points.

Jack Conklin Ruled Out For Week 2

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jack Conklin (knee), who was considered questionable for the Week 2 tilt against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road, has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game. With offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. (knee) having already been ruled out earlier this week, Cleveland's offensive line will be missing some key pieces this weekend. The 30-year-old Conklin was limited in practice all of last week and also sat out the season-opening blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys in which the Browns' offense looked like a disaster. With both Conklin and Wills out, expect James Hudson and Dawand Jones to see plenty of playing time on Sunday on the book ends of Cleveland's offensive line. This is more bad news for a Browns offense that has come under a lot of scrutiny already under quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Jack Conklin Comes Off PUP List, Boosting Browns O-Line

Good news for the Cleveland Browns, as starting offensive tackle Jack Conklin (knee) has passed his physical and is coming off the Physically Unable to Perform list. Conklin was a 2016 first-round pick of the Titans out of Michigan State. He signed a four-year, $60 million extension with the Browns back in December 2022. In 2023, Conklin played one game at right tackle for the Browns last season before suffering a severe knee injury. In the season opener, he tore two ligaments when Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson rolled into his knee after Conklin had finished a block. Hendrickson was inadvertently pushed into Conklin by Browns left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., and Conklin had to be carted off the field. As a two-time All-Pro, Conklin's return significantly boosts the Browns' real-life performance and fantasy football prospects.

Jack Conklin Suffers Torn ACL, MCL

Cleveland Browns right tackle Jack Conklin (knee) suffered a torn ACL and MCL in the team's Week 1 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, effectively ending his 2023 season. The two-time first-team All-Pro selection suffered a torn ACL in 2017, so a second major knee injury is disappointing. Rookie fourth-round pick Dawand Jones is slated to start at right tackle moving forward. Running back Nick Chubb and quarterback Deshaun Watson could be slightly affected by a downgraded overall offensive line.
