Browns
Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jack Conklin (hamstring) has been ruled out for the Week 5 contest on Sunday against the Washington Commanders, while left tackle Jedrick Wills (knee) is active. Conklin made some progress at practice this week, but he remains out of action and will be hoping to make his 2024 debut in Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles. The good news is the Browns' offensive line will get their left tackle back after he hurt his knee in Week 3 and was forced to sit out of the Week 4 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Browns' offense has been well below average through the first four weeks of the season, but they have an opportunity to be successful this weekend against a porous Commanders secondary. The return of Wills should be seen as good news for quarterback Deshaun Watson as they look to get back into the win column.

Jack Conklin Downgraded To Out
Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jack Conklin (hamstring) has been downgraded to out for Week 3 versus the New York Giants because of his hamstring injury. The good news is that the Browns didn't call up another offensive lineman for Sunday's game, which is a sign that left tackle Jedrick Wills (knee), who is listed as questionable, will be able to make his 2024 debut this weekend. Conklin practiced in full on Wednesday and Thursday but was downgraded to limited on Friday and will now sit out against the G-Men. With the 30-year-old tackle unavailable this weekend, look for former fourth-rounder Dawand Jones to make another start at right tackle for Cleveland. The Browns' offense looked slightly better in the Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they still managed only 18 points.

Jack Conklin Ruled Out For Week 2
Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jack Conklin (knee), who was considered questionable for the Week 2 tilt against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road, has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game. With offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. (knee) having already been ruled out earlier this week, Cleveland's offensive line will be missing some key pieces this weekend. The 30-year-old Conklin was limited in practice all of last week and also sat out the season-opening blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys in which the Browns' offense looked like a disaster. With both Conklin and Wills out, expect James Hudson and Dawand Jones to see plenty of playing time on Sunday on the book ends of Cleveland's offensive line. This is more bad news for a Browns offense that has come under a lot of scrutiny already under quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Jack Conklin Comes Off PUP List, Boosting Browns O-Line
Good news for the Cleveland Browns, as starting offensive tackle Jack Conklin (knee) has passed his physical and is coming off the Physically Unable to Perform list. Conklin was a 2016 first-round pick of the Titans out of Michigan State. He signed a four-year, $60 million extension with the Browns back in December 2022. In 2023, Conklin played one game at right tackle for the Browns last season before suffering a severe knee injury. In the season opener, he tore two ligaments when Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson rolled into his knee after Conklin had finished a block. Hendrickson was inadvertently pushed into Conklin by Browns left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., and Conklin had to be carted off the field. As a two-time All-Pro, Conklin's return significantly boosts the Browns' real-life performance and fantasy football prospects.

Jack Conklin Suffers Torn ACL, MCL
Cleveland Browns right tackle Jack Conklin (knee) suffered a torn ACL and MCL in the team's Week 1 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, effectively ending his 2023 season. The two-time first-team All-Pro selection suffered a torn ACL in 2017, so a second major knee injury is disappointing. Rookie fourth-round pick Dawand Jones is slated to start at right tackle moving forward. Running back Nick Chubb and quarterback Deshaun Watson could be slightly affected by a downgraded overall offensive line.

Jack Conklin Carted Off Field Sunday, Ruled Out
Cleveland Browns right tackle Jack Conklin (knee) was carted off the field and ruled out for the remainder of Week 1 versus the Cincinnati Bengals. It's concerning that he needed the cart to get off the field and was quickly deemed unable to return. Rookie Dawand Jones will handle more snaps in Conklin's absence.

Browns Give Jack Conklin A Four-Year Extension
The Cleveland Browns and right tackle Jack Conklin agreed to a four-year, $60 million contract extension on Friday that includes $31 million fully guaranteed, according to his agents. Christmas came a little early for Conklin this year. The 28-year-old offensive lineman is now tied to the Browns through the 2026 season. He missed the first two games this year while recovering from surgery he had on his knee last December, but since returning he's been a staple on the right side of the Browns' offensive line. Conklin was originally the eighth overall pick out of Michigan State by the Tennessee Titans in 2016. The two-time All-Pro spent the first four years of his career in Tennessee and has spent the last three seasons in Cleveland.

Jack Conklin Not At Minicamp
Cleveland Browns tackle Jack Conklin (knee) is not participating in minicamp, which shouldn't come as a surprise. The 27-year-old tore his patella in late November, so the organization didn't plan on having Conklin ready this early in the summer. Chris Hubbard has been taking snaps with the starting unit. There's a chance that Conklin isn't ready by the beginning of the regular season. Hubbard could be asked to make a few starts, but more information should be known closer towards training camp. The loss of Conklin could slightly hurt the rushing attack to begin the season.

Jack Conklin On Schedule In Rehab
Cleveland Browns right tackle Jack Conklin (knee), who is coming off surgery to fix a torn patellar tendon, is coming along nicely and should be ready to practice at the start of training camp in late July. Conklin could be limited early on, but he's on schedule and is expected to be ready for the start of the season. The 27-year-old is currently rehabbing on his own and isn't taking part in organized team activities. Conklin will probably also miss mandatory minicamp from June 14-16. The two-time All-Pro only played in seven games for the Browns last year due to his injury.

Jack Conklin Taking Part In Offseason Program
Cleveland Browns right tackle Jack Conklin (knee), who had surgery last December to fix a torn patella tendon in his knee, is taking part in the team's voluntary offseason program. "He's here, and he's working really hard," head coach Kevin Stefanski said this week. "I don't have a date for you, but he's on schedule with everything. He's doing a nice job." The hope is that the two-time first-team All-Pro will be ready for the start of the regular season. The Browns would really like to have Conklin ready to go, especially with a new starting center this year in either Nick Harris or Ethan Pocic. Conklin only played in seven games for the Browns in his second season with the team in 2021 due to his knee injury.
