Jack Conklin News
The Cleveland Browns and right tackle Jack Conklin agreed to a four-year, $60 million contract extension on Friday that includes $31 million fully guaranteed, according to his agents. Christmas came a little early for Conklin this year. The 28-year-old offensive lineman is now tied to the Browns through the 2026 season. He missed the first two games this year while recovering from surgery he had on his knee last December, but since returning he's been a staple on the right side of the Browns' offensive line. Conklin was originally the eighth overall pick out of Michigan State by the Tennessee Titans in 2016. The two-time All-Pro spent the first four years of his career in Tennessee and has spent the last three seasons in Cleveland.
Cleveland Browns tackle Jack Conklin (knee) is not participating in minicamp, which shouldn't come as a surprise. The 27-year-old tore his patella in late November, so the organization didn't plan on having Conklin ready this early in the summer. Chris Hubbard has been taking snaps with the starting unit. There's a chance that Conklin isn't ready by the beginning of the regular season. Hubbard could be asked to make a few starts, but more information should be known closer towards training camp. The loss of Conklin could slightly hurt the rushing attack to begin the season.
Cleveland Browns right tackle Jack Conklin (knee), who is coming off surgery to fix a torn patellar tendon, is coming along nicely and should be ready to practice at the start of training camp in late July. Conklin could be limited early on, but he's on schedule and is expected to be ready for the start of the season. The 27-year-old is currently rehabbing on his own and isn't taking part in organized team activities. Conklin will probably also miss mandatory minicamp from June 14-16. The two-time All-Pro only played in seven games for the Browns last year due to his injury.
