Jake Kumerow Lands On Injured Reserve

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jake Kumerow (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Thursday. He exited last Sunday's loss against the Vikings early with an ankle injury. The 30-year-old's ankle injury was severe enough to land him on injured reserve. He has caught four of his seven targets for 64 yards over six games in 2022. He is eligible to return in Week 15. With Kumerow on injured reserve, Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Isaiah McKenzie, and Khalil Shakir as the team's only available wideouts on the team's active roster.

Jake Kumerow Placed On Injured Reserve

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jake Kumerow (ankle) has been placed on the injured reserve as of Thursday. The 30-year-old will miss at least the next four weeks as he deals with an ankle injury. The Bills needed to do this in order to open up a roster spot for linebacker A.J. Klein who they claimed off waivers. Kumerow wasn't bringing much to the table this season anyway, so his absence won't make much of an impact. Through six games, Kumerow had four receptions for 64 yards, so he can continue to be ignored in fantasy leagues.

Jake Kumerow Ruled Out Against Baltimore

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jake Kumerow (ankle) did not manage to take part in practice all week and has subsequently been ruled out for the Week 4 game against the Baltimore Ravens. After suffering a high-ankle sprain in the Week 3 loss to the Miami Dolphins, the 30-year-old will likely miss more than just this weekend's game. Kumerow didn't see a single target in the season opener, but he did have two catches on three targets for 50 yards with Gabe Davis inactive in Week 2. Before his injury early in last week's game, he caught both of his targets for just 14 yards. In Week 4 against the Ravens, Stefon Diggs, Davis and Isaiah McKenzie will be the team's top three receiver weapons for quarterback Josh Allen.

Jake Kumerow Injured In Week 3

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jake Kumerow (ankle) didn't return to Sunday's narrow loss to the Miami Dolphins. The 30-year-old caught both of his targets for 14 yards before going down and was entering Week 3 fresh off a two-catch, 50-yard showing against the Titans on Monday night. There should be an official update on Kumerow's condition soon. However, if he misses time moving ahead, there shouldn't be too many upset fantasy managers.

Jake Kumerow, Spencer Brown Ruled Out Sunday

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jake Kumerow (ankle) and offensive lineman Spencer Brown (heat illness) have been ruled out for the remainder of Week 3 versus the Miami Dolphins. Kumerow has totaled four catches and 64 yards over his last two games, but he remains buried on the depth chart behind Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, and Isaiah McKenzie.

Jake Kumerow Has Two Catches Monday Night

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jake Kumerow saw additional playing time in Monday's 41-7 rout of the Tennessee Titans in Week 2 with Gabe Davis (ankle) inactive. Kumerow played 78 percent of the offensive snaps and caught two of his three targets for 50 yards in the blowout victory. Isaiah McKenzie and veteran Jamison Crowder are both slot receivers, so if Davis or Stefon Diggs miss any more time this year with injuries, it will likely be Kumerow, and not rookie Khalil Shakir, benefitting on the outside. The 30-year-old pass-catcher has been in Buffalo for the last three years, so he should have pretty good grasp of their offense and chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen. However, he's not worth a waiver-wire pickup with Davis likely to return in Week 3.

Bills Re-Sign Jake Kumerow

The Buffalo Bills re-signed wide receiver Jake Kumerow to an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday, according to his agents. Kumerow appeared in a career-high 15 games (two starts) for the Bills in 2021 in his second season with the team, but he managed only two receptions for 28 yards on six targets. In two years with the Bills, he has just three catches for 50 yards and a touchdown on seven targets over 21 games. The 30-year-old will continue to mainly be a factor for Buffalo on special teams, and fantasy managers don't need to pay any attention to the man they call Touchdown Jesus. Kumerow has 23 receptions for 372 yards and three scores in 40 career games over four NFL seasons with the Bills and Green Bay Packers.

Jake Kumerow Back From COVID-19 List

The Buffalo Bills activated wide receiver Jake Kumerow from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday and placed offensive lineman Spencer Brown on the COVID list in a corresponding move. Kumerow missed the Week 10 win over the New York Jets but will be available this weekend when Buffalo hosts the Indianapolis Colts. The 29-year-old is mostly a special teams contributor for the Bills and doesn't have any real fantasy value with no catches on only two targets in eight games played (one start) for the Bills this season.

Jake Kumerow Lands On COVID-19 List

The Buffalo Bills placed wide receiver Jake Kumerow on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday. It's unknown if he tested positive, but if he did and he's vaccinated, he'll need two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to be cleared for Week 10 against the New York Jets. If Kumerow is not vaccinated, he'll go into quarantine for a 10-day period. The 29-year-old has mainly been a special teams contributor for Buffalo and hasn't played more than 18% of the offensive snaps in a single game this year. Kumerow has been targeted twice in eight games played and hasn't caught a single pass yet in 2021, so he's obviously just WR depth in Buffalo and isn't worth watching in fantasy. Isaiah McKenzie could see more snaps this weekend if Kumerow isn't cleared.

Jake Kumerow Could Be A Lock Bills Roster

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jake Kumerow has been impressing both his teammates and the coaching staff during training camp. Quarterback Josh Allen has enjoyed having Kumerow around and believes he's a fantastic asset to the team. Through two preseason games, Kumerow has two receptions for 20 yards and one touchdown. He'll get a chance to get revenge against his former team the Green Bay Packers in their third preseason matchup. Regardless of his performance, it sounds like Kumerow is a lock for the Bills 53-man roster. Both Gabriel Davis and Cole Beasley are in COViD-19 protocols right now. It's also worth noting that Isaiah McKenzie (shoulder) is sidelined, so the Bills cannot afford to lose anymore receivers. Possibly, Kumerow has a role on the team to start the season, but the depends on the health of their receiver group.
