Atlanta Falcons Wide Receiver Josh Ali is currently listed just in front of Xavier Malone on the Falcon's depth chart, and while he had more targets than Malone, he couldn't do as much with those opportunities. Ali made one catch for fourteen yards on three targets. Ali is in his second NFL season, and the wide receiver out of Kentucky posted one reception for 14 yards. The roster battle between Ali and Malone will be interesting to watch down the stretch.
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Josh Ali, who was on the practice squad last year after suffering a knee injury late in his college career at Kentucky, has stood out this offseason in a wide open receiver room after Drake London. Ali worked a lot with quarterback Desmond Ridder in 2022, and their chemistry was obvious in offseason practices. The 24-year-old got work with the veterans during spring workouts, which is usually a good sign for a player with only 14 career snaps and one career target in the NFL. It's unclear if he'll actually make the team out of training camp this summer, but Ali has put himself in a position to make it interesting in the preseason.
