The Las Vegas Raiders are acquiring offensive tackle Justin Herron from the New England Patriots on Wednesday, according to sources. The two teams are flipping draft picks in 2024. Herron will give the Raiders some solid tackle depth for their offensive line moving forward. The 26-year-old former sixth-round pick by the Patriots in 2020 out of Wake Forest played in 28 games in his first two NFL seasons, starting just 10 of them. He was a reserve tackle for New England, but he's a guy that many Raiders personnel members are familiar with.
The New England Patriots have selected Wake Forest offensive guard/tackle Justin Herron with the No. 195 selection in the sixth round. Herron has quick feet and the length to eventually grow into a starting tackle spot in the NFL. He is still developing but has plenty of potential. Herron has power, great strength and solid movement, but he likely won't start right away. There are still parts of his game that need to improve before he's ready to take that next step.
