The Jacksonville Jaguars acquired linebacker Kamalei Correa from the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday, according to sources. Correa requested a trade from the Titans after he was inactive on Tuesday night following his activation from the COVID-19 list. The 26-year-old had just one solo tackle and two QB hits in three games of action for the Titans this season. He had 37 tackles and a career-high five sacks in 16 games for Tennessee last season and will give the Jags some outside linebacker depth the rest of the way. Correa will probably serve in a rotational role on passing downs, making him unlikely to attract attention in IDP leagues.
Dolphins To Have Interest In Kamalei Correa, Kyle Van Noy
The Miami Dolphins are expected to have interest in the Titans' Kamalei Correa and Patriots' Kyle Van Noy, according to sources. Edge rusher is a big gaping hole that Miami is looking to fill in both free agency and the draft this offseason, as they finished last in the league in sacks (23) in 2019. Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson and Giants outside linebacker Markus Golden are two other edge rushers that the Dolphins could look to sign as they improve their defensive line heading into 2020. Needless to say, Miami's special teams/defensive unit will go undrafted in most fantasy leagues this fall.
