Miami Dolphins cornerback Keion Crossen (undisclosed) was placed on Injured Reserve and is out for the entire 2023 season. Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said Crossen suffered a "freak injury" on Tuesday. Since entering the NFL in 2018, Crossen has totaled 118 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble with the New England Patriots, Houston Texans, New York Giants, and Miami Dolphins. Miami traded Noah Igbinoghene to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for Kelvin Joseph on Tuesday and will be without Jalen Ramsey (knee) for a chunk of the 2023 campaign. There will be plenty of new faces playing alongside Xavien Howard in the Miami secondary to begin the year.
The Houston Texans traded defensive back Keion Crossen to the New York Giants for a 2023 sixth-round draft pick. He is reunited with Giants head coach Joe Judge, who was part of the New England Patriots special team unit when he selected Crossen in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. This is the second time Texans GM Nick Caserio has traded Crossen. Once when he was general manager of the Patriots and now as Houston's GM. The 25-year-old defensive back racked up 46 tackles (33 solos, 13 assists) and five pass defenses across 16 games for the Texans in 2020. Crossen provides cornerback depth and is expected to have a vital role with the Giants' special teams.
