The Green Bay Packers claimed running back Keith Ford off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts n Tuesday while waiving injured OT Jason Spriggs, a former second-round pick in 2016. Ford was jettisoned in Indy for D'Onta Foreman earlier in the week. The Packers are pretty full in the backfield with Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Dexter Williams and Kapri Bibbs, but Jones and Jamaal Williams have been nicked up. Ford will get a chance to prove himself and earn a spot, but it's an uphill climb for a spot on the 53-man roster, and even if he does land a job, his fantasy appeal should be rather negligible.
The Indianapolis Colts waived running back Keith Ford on Monday, the same day they added RB D'Onta Foreman off waivers from the Houston Texans. Ford was battling for scraps behind Marlon Mack, but now he'll be looking to latch on with another organization. He might be able to find work elsewhere but he isn't someone to bother with in fantasy football at this time.
Keith Ford May Be Worth A Streaming Option In Week 17
Buffalo Bills running back Keith Ford racked up 33 rushing yards on seven carries and also brought in two passes for an additional 14 yards in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. The undrafted rookie has performed reasonably well the last two games after being thrust into action last week as a result of injuries to the Bills' other running backs. He now has 79 rushing yards on 21 attempts and three receptions for 21 yards in his career. With Week 17 usually being a game where teams, that are no longer in the playoff picture, generally give their youngsters more playing time, Ford could be worth a streaming option against the Dolphins. The Bills recorded 198 yards on the ground, although 135 of those yards were by quarterback Josh Allen, in their last meeting against the Dolphins. Miami has allowed the second most yards on the ground this year and has permitted 346 rushing yards combined the last two weeks.
Buffalo Bills running back Keith Ford accumulated 46 rushing yards on 14 carries while also hauling in a pass for seven yards in Sunday's victory over the Lions. It was the undrafted rookie's first action in an NFL uniform, and he was forced into a featured role in the second half of the game as Marcus Murphy (elbow) was unable to continue after getting injured late in the second quarter. The 24-year-old averaged 3.8 yards per attempt on 10 attempts in the second half of the game. Ford, who had a long run of just nine yards, could have a role against the Patriots in Week 16 but at this point, the Texas A&M product shouldn't be on fantasy owner's radar.
