Logan Woodside Fantasy

The Tennessee Titans placed backup quarterback Logan Woodside on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday. If Woodside is vaccinated, he must be asymptomatic and return two negative tests in order to active for this Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. Behind Woodside, the Titans have Kevin Hogan on the practice squad, so they'll likely elevate Hogan to the active roster for this weekend if Woodside doesn't get cleared. Woodside, a seventh-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2018, has taken three kneel-downs for the Titans this year and has attempted only three passes in two NFL seasons.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Logan Woodside continued to show why he should be the No. 2 passer for the Titans, going 10-for-15 for 84 yards and a touchdown in a 23-3 preseason win over the Falcons. Ryan Tannehill is obviously locked in as the starting quarterback here and should be drafted as a mid-tier QB1, but Woodside is showing that he could be a fantasy streamer in a pinch if he was forced to start. He still has to hold off Matt Barkley, who went 5-for-8 for 54 yards and a score, but overall, it looks like this is Woodside's job to lose.
